Apparently, Conservatives Are Supposed To Fight Globull Warming

Liberals are really digging deep in an attempt to save their pet cult: Why fighting global warming should be a conservative cause

But it’s conservatives who should fear climate change the most. To put it simply, if you hate big government, try global warming on for size.

The whole cult of climate change (hell, they can’t even call it by its real name most of the time) is about increased government. Last time I checked, Conservatives were against that.

Many conservatives say they oppose clean-energy policies because they want to keep government off our backs. But they have it exactly backward. Doing nothing will set our country on a course toward narrower choices for businesses and individuals, along with an expanded role for government. When catastrophe strikes – and yes, the science is quite solid that it will – it will be the feds who are left conducting triage.

Yeah, nice try. Except, we aren’t against clean energy, in fact, we are all for it. Except, CO2 is not “dirty”, and we don’t support idiotic political legislation to push government control, taxation, and economic wealth redistribution through energy policy. Real conservatives look at the real world, not some fanciful notion that greenhouse gases will make it hot, cold, wet, dry, affect everything OMG WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We aren’t buying the snake oil you’re selling.

The best science available suggests that without taking action to fundamentally change how we produce and use energy, we could see temperatures rise 9 to 11 degrees Fahrenheit over much of the United States by 2090. These estimates have sometimes been called high-end predictions, but the corresponding low-end forecasts assume we will rally as a country to shift course. That hasn’t happened, so the worst case must become our best guess.

Best science by climate alarmists who always fail to actual practice what they preach. And 9-11 degrees is simply absurd beyond belief.

Really, the whole article is so full of stupidity that you have to read it in full. To fisk it all in a post would be a giant article in itself. So, I’ll end it with this

Bracken Hendricks is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and a co-author, with Rep. Jay Inslee (D-Wash.), of “Apollo’s Fire: Igniting America’s Clean Energy Economy.”

The last person to try and explain what is Conservative and what is not is a weenie from the Center for American Progress.

Teach, man, come on. I just ate. You want me to have to clean up a mess all over my computer desk?

That spin made me so dizzy I actually had to slap myself in the opposite (right) direction to keep me from spewing.

So, a weenie from CAP, or CrAP, and a DEM are telling conservatives what they should believe in.

And they still didn’t make a cogent argument.

  2. It was like riding a tilt a whirl, eh?

well Teach of course WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE that is certain. I guess what might matter to some is in what shape we will be leaving the Earth in.
Many Conservatives and many Christians are not in denial over climate change. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/08/national/08warm.html

The only countries that are continuing to deny AGW are led by Iran and Saudi Arabia, nice pals you have their Teach. Any other views run in parallel besides that one?

That is correct. We are not in denying that so called “AGW” is fake.

BTW Ryan, have you stopped driving that truck of yours and contributing to what you say is a huge problem?

Or like a good little leftist, are you demanding that others do what you will not?
