Rep. Peter King Wants Wikileaks Designated As Terrorist Group

Now, this is why I usually think Peter King is an excellent Congressional Representative, as opposed to his TSA idiocy the other day: House Republican wants Wikileaks labeled as terrorist group

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should review whether Wikileaks can be declared a terrorist organization, according to a senior Republican.

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, called for U.S. officials to get aggressive against Wikileaks after the website published highly-sensitive, classified diplomatic cables that reveal frank assessments of foreign leaders and the war on terror.

“I am calling on the attorney general and supporting his efforts to fully prosecute Wikileaks and its founder for violating the Espionage Act. And I’m also calling on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to declare Wikileaks a foreign terrorist organization,” King said on WNIS radio on Sunday evening.

The Obama administration ordered government agencies Monday to immediately review procedures for safeguarding classified information in the wake of the disclosure of thousands of secret State Department documents.

I’d like to say that I can’t fault Obama for the squishy language, as I’m sure there is some serious raging going on internally, which we will most likely see in a news story sometime in the near future. However, this is not the first Wikileaks release, so, it is about time for the Administration to crack down hard on leakers, and prosecute them to the full extent of the law. These releases were, essentially, treason.

The problem is that we have been here before with other agencies and people that have leaked the nations dirty little secrets. I have not been able to find any of the information that everyone seems concerned with. Navigating Wikileaks is not a pleasant experience. If they are true in saying that SA in funding the terrorist, which we all suspect anyway. Then what in the hell are we doing in the Middle East. On the other hand, if the information in not real, then action should be taken against these folks.

I know from personal experience that anytime you get this many government officials upstet, you might have done something right.

I don’t know if I’d say it was treason. Could it be “release of CONFIDENTIAL information”? Yeah. Treason?

Treason to me is Kerry selling out America to the Vietnamese.

Treason to me is Obama crashing America while overseas.

Treason to me is NOT releasing government documents. I think our gov’t for the major part should be fully open. There should be very little reason to file a FOIA because all info should be open. UNLESS it is a military secret.
