How be everyone? Been fishing most of the afternoon and into the evening. Ok, mostly casting and drinking. Got a couple bass, some catfish, and a few sunnies. Be careful touching your keyboard or mouse: I am transmitting fish smell through the internet(s).
On a separate note, this is a photo a friend sent me. It is from Hurricane Floyd in 1999, in Greenville, NC. This shot is about 3 blocks west along the Tar River from an apartment building I lived in while going to East Carolina University. The water level on the apartments was at the same height, if not a tad bit higher, then in this photo.
MMM, fry them up in a pan, some crusty bread, crispy green salad, some white wine….
Hey –if you want bass, you should try the lake in my hometown (known for it’s large mouth bass.) Lake Eufaula (Alabama)..sounds like you had a wonderful day!! I love fishing days!!
It was a pretty good day, though we always release the fish. More about catching then eating at Falls Lake. Heck, alot of lakes around Raleigh. As soon as the weather gets abit warmer, I am going to head out and do some trout fishing. Nice, real clean water. I have heard about the bass fishing in the Deep South states: I need to do it one day. I used to be huge into fishing, but it is just not that easy to find a good spot in the Triangle area.
