What Do Democrats Want If They Take Back Congress? Ask Senator Gillibrand

If the Democrats manage to take back Congress this November, some of the more unhinged will certainly push impeachment, because they’re still upset that Donald Trump played the election game properly and won. But, what about the real issues?

(Daily Caller) Democrats should immediately move to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) if they regain majorities in Congress, Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said on Sunday.

“So when we flip the House and flip the Senate, I think the first thing we should do is deal with the children who have been separated from their families at the border. I think we should get rid of ICE,” Gillibrand said at the New York City festival OZY Fest, where she shared a stage with left-wing actress Chelsea Handler.

“We should separate out two missions, the anti-terrorism mission, the national security mission, and then on the other side make sure you’re do, making sure you’re looking at immigration as a humanitarian issue,” Gillibrand added.

In other words, she and the Democrats want to utterly defang the main federal agency responsible for detaining and deporting illegal aliens, and turn them into some sort of social justice warrior agency which provides aid and comfort to people who are invading our country. Expect Democrats to come after Customs and Border Patrol, as well.

The senator also said that Democrats should also move on “all” of the gun control issues within the first month of taking back Congress.

“I think we should pass the gun reform issues within the first month — all of them. Universal background checks, anti-trafficking, making sure people can’t buy bump stocks, large magazine clips, all that work,” she said.

In other words, they’re coming after your guns, because virtually nothing in their talking points highlights anything that truly goes after the criminals who use guns. Just those who are law abiding citizens.

Trump Stands Up For America, Tells Iran To Never Threaten Us

Trump’s tweet to Iran cannot bully the west away from making peace

Wow. Social media really is transforming the art of diplomacy. Donald Trump’s secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, has called the rulers of Iran a “mafia more than a government”. They are a bunch of “hypocritical holy men” who have devised “all kinds of crooked schemes to become some of the wealthiest men on Earth while their people suffer”. When Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani pleads for the mother of all peace instead of the “mother of all wars,” Trump retorts that if he ever says that again, he will see “consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before … Be cautious!” Children are told that words can never hurt you, but there must be limits.

Oh, wait, sorry, that’s the hardcore, unhinged Leftist view of the tweet from Simon Jenkins at the UK Guardian, which seems to be the opinion of many on the left, who are taking the side of Iran.

What they missed is that Iran was threatening the US, and has been threatening the US.

(CNN) President Donald Trump issued a furious, all-caps challenge to the Iranian regime late Sunday night, warning that any threats to the US would be met with unspecified dire consequences.

The tirade — apparently in response to earlier remarks by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, who warned the US that war with Tehran would be the “mother of all wars” — signaled an immediate escalation of tensions between Washington and Tehran.

In his comments, Rouhani warned Trump not to “play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally.” He also held out the possibility of a peaceful relationship with the US, in remarks reported by Iranian state media.

Funny thing is, Iran seems to get Trump better than the deranged #resistance

On Monday, a senior officer in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Commander General Gholam Hossein Gheibparvar, described Trump’s remarks as “psychological warfare,” the semi-official ISNA news agency reported.

It worked with North Korea. Regardless, Iran has been threatening the US for quite some time. The latest regards sanctions on Iran’s oil, and that they could close the Straights of Hormuz. Why do Leftists want to take the side of Iran?

‘Climate Change’ Is Disrupting The Seasons Or Something

Obviously, the climate of the Earth had been utterly stable up till mankind invented the fossil fueled automobile

Climate change may be starting to disrupt planet’s seasons
Humans are pushing seasonal temperatures out of balance, research shows.

Poring through four decades of satellite data, climate scientists have concluded for the first time that humans are pushing seasonal temperatures out of balance – shifting what one researcher called the very “march of the seasons themselves.”

Ever-mindful of calculable uncertainty and climate deniers, the authors give “odds of roughly 5 in 1 million” of these changes occurring naturally, without human influence.

Climate scientists are continually sifting through evidence looking for what they call “fingerprints.” Over the years, they’ve teased out the human signal from Earthly noise in annual and decade-spanning temperature records, marine chemistryand rapid Arctic change.

What they discovered is an uneven pace of seasonal change in the atmosphere above the Northern and Southern Hemispheres’ temperate zones. While warming is global, summers in the troposphere are heating faster than winters, in a way physics would dictate if greenhouse gases were the culprit. The satellite data and computer models for seasonal temperature change used by the study agree with each other even more closely than they do when gauging average annual temperature.

These people. Funny how they ignore an 18+ year pause in rising global temperatures, and leave out the cooling of the late 40’s into the mid 1970’s. They ignore that there were multiple warm periods during the Holocene. What caused the Roman Warm Period? They’ll tell us “oh, that was natural back then, but, not now”, and then they’ll jump in their fossil fueled vehicle to engage in some consumerism before heading back to their fossil fuels heated/cooled homes.

This whole thing looks like astrology.

“Immigrants” Are Being Forced Into Exile Like Ancient Jews Or Something

‘People are being forced into exile:’ Durham group protests immigration policies

Members of the Jewish community were in Durham on Saturday night, taking a stand against immigration policies they call unjust.

In the Jewish community, Tisha B’Av is the day on the calendar to mourn for the destruction of Jewish temples and the persecution of Jews throughout history.

Saturday night, Carolina Jews for Justice observed Tisha B’Av by holding a march and ceremony at the Durham courthouse to protest immigration policies that are separating families at the border.

Those observing Tisha B’Av said there are many similarities between what the Jewish community faced centuries ago and what immigrants are experiencing today.

“It’s not a far link to really know that in this moment, in this place that we as a Jewish community in North Carolina live today, there is a community of people that is being destroyed. Families are being torn apart and people are being forced into expulsion and exile,” said Dove Kent with Carolina Jews for Justice.

Tisha B’av primarily commemorates the destruction of the holy temples in Jerusalem. Secondly, it commemorates tragedies that have befallen Jews over time, such as “most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492 and from England in 1290.” Yes, these nutbags are really equating the detention and temporary separation of illegal aliens (often to check to see if the adults really are the parents, and not smugglers or child slavers), and deportation of people who have broken our laws, with Jew hatred. Which these Democrat Jews forget is rampant within the Democrat party.

Where were they when Obama was in office and kids were in cages?

Oh, and then there’s this one (via Twitchy)

They claim they’re refugees and asylum seekers and they’re being given food and shelter, making the safer than the places they claim are too dangerous for them. But, hey, if they don’t like these state of affairs. they can head north to Canada. Or back through Mexico. Or back to their originating nation. Or somewhere else. We didn’t ask them to come here unlawfully. Leave.

News Outlet Which Leads In TDS Decides To Tell Us What TDS Is

What is ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ — and do you have it?

“Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia,” he tweeted. “They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!”

Worried you might have Trump Derangement Syndrome? Wondering where it came from? I’m here to help!

Let’s start with what Trump Derangement Syndrome means.

Urban Dictionary offers up this handy definition: “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.”

Anyhow, Chris goes through a bunch of stuff, even how this all started as Bush Derangement Syndrome, and ends with

We no longer live around, work around or pal around with people who think any differently than us. We watch cable news that affirms what we already think. We read ideological “news” sites that tell us how good our side is and how bad the other one is. And on and on and on.

Is it any wonder then that we are increasingly willing to lump those who disagree with us into the “deranged” category? To say that those who don’t share our views are mentally deficient in some way?

What does it say about a President — and about a country — when the standard response to those with whom you disagree is that they must be crazy? Nothing good, for sure.

Here’s the thing: not every Liberal has TDS. But, the amount of insanity emanating from the Democrats, and liberals around the world, is gigantic. And it’s not from the fringes. The thing about palling around? That’s mostly a Leftist thing. Conservatives weren’t threatening to leave the US if Obama was elected. We weren’t hanging Obama in effigy. Sure, we made fun of him. We weren’t apoplectic over every single thing he did. We didn’t loathe the man for who he was, but for his policies.

And, let’s not forget that the Left’s standard response to people with differing views is to call them Nazis, KKKers, racists, etc. And that this, along with TDS, involves the Credentialed media and elected Democrats.

Good News: Socialists Bernie Sanders And Alexandra Occasio-Cortez Want To Turn Kansas “Red”

Well, there’s no doubt that the pair are definitely red (or is that green, since they’re super excited to spend other people’s money?), but, wrong context

(Daily Caller) Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an unfortunate slip during a campaign stop with Sen. Bernie Sanders on behalf of Kansas Democratic Congressional candidate Brent Welder Friday.

“Hello everybody,” Occasio-Cortez said on a video posted to Sanders’ Twitter account Friday evening. “I’m so excited to be hopping on here on Senator Sanders’ account. We’re here in Kansas City to rally for Brent Welder. We’re gonna flip this seat red in November.”

Welder is running against GOP incumbent Kevin Yoder in Kansas’s 3rd congressional district.

Canadian Warmist Recommends Government Pass Laws To Hold Fossil Fuels Companies Liable

The Cult of Climastrology has been at it since the late 1980’s, ramping up their particular schtick of climate change doom year after year. They have the majority of the news media in their corner, yet, people really do not care that much. They issue typically ranks very low on lists of things people care about, and nosedives further when the cost of Doing Something is introduced. So, what’s their big idea?

B.C. lawyer says it’s time for oil companies to pay their share of climate change costs

More than 50 B.C. organizations are calling for climate liability legislation that could smooth the way for lawsuits similar to the ones brought by major U.S. cities in an effort to force fossil fuel companies to cover their share of climate costs.

On Friday, Baltimore became the latest American city to file a lawsuit that asked the courts to hold oil companies financially responsible for climate impacts, the day after a U.S. judge dismissed a similar suit filed by New York City. (snip)

Andrew Gage, a lawyer with West Coast Environmental Law, said similar cases could be fought in Canada now, but there would be a lot of complicated legal questions to answer, and he expects oil companies would appeal them all.

Well, we can’t have people and companies defending themselves, and winning, can we?

It would be less expensive and more transparent for the government to develop legislation that clarifies responsibility for climate change, he said.

“At some point we have to ask whether tax payers alone should be paying for those costs or whether there should be some way to recover them from an industry that has made hundreds of billions of dollars in profits selling the products that gave rise to many of these problems,” Gage said — especially as the costs of climate change continue to rise.

This way leads Fascism. It may work in Canada, which doesn’t have the same type of First and Fourth Amendment protections we have here in the United States. And while the Canadian government doesn’t have any plans to institute laws that would hold fossil fuels companies liable in order to shake them down take their legally earned money, don’t discount that they’re thinking about it.

But, again, it’s funny that Warmists rail against fossil fuels so much but almost never give up their own use of fossil fuels.
