Trump Stands Up For America, Tells Iran To Never Threaten Us

Obama would have bowed to Iran and given them more money

Trump’s tweet to Iran cannot bully the west away from making peace

Wow. Social media really is transforming the art of diplomacy. Donald Trump’s secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, has called the rulers of Iran a “mafia more than a government”. They are a bunch of “hypocritical holy men” who have devised “all kinds of crooked schemes to become some of the wealthiest men on Earth while their people suffer”. When Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani pleads for the mother of all peace instead of the “mother of all wars,” Trump retorts that if he ever says that again, he will see “consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before … Be cautious!” Children are told that words can never hurt you, but there must be limits.

Oh, wait, sorry, that’s the hardcore, unhinged Leftist view of the tweet from Simon Jenkins at the UK Guardian, which seems to be the opinion of many on the left, who are taking the side of Iran.

What they missed is that Iran was threatening the US, and has been threatening the US.

(CNN) President Donald Trump issued a furious, all-caps challenge to the Iranian regime late Sunday night, warning that any threats to the US would be met with unspecified dire consequences.

The tirade — apparently in response to earlier remarks by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, who warned the US that war with Tehran would be the “mother of all wars” — signaled an immediate escalation of tensions between Washington and Tehran.

In his comments, Rouhani warned Trump not to “play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally.” He also held out the possibility of a peaceful relationship with the US, in remarks reported by Iranian state media.

Funny thing is, Iran seems to get Trump better than the deranged #resistance

On Monday, a senior officer in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Commander General Gholam Hossein Gheibparvar, described Trump’s remarks as “psychological warfare,” the semi-official ISNA news agency reported.

It worked with North Korea. Regardless, Iran has been threatening the US for quite some time. The latest regards sanctions on Iran’s oil, and that they could close the Straights of Hormuz. Why do Leftists want to take the side of Iran?

Fire and fury, and frankly power!!

Classic schoolyard tRump. Changing the subject.

29% of Americans approved of his denigration of US intelligence services. 33% approved of his handling of Putin. 29-33%, that’s the My tRump, Right or Wrong! crowd.

      • Jalal al-Din says:

Yes! 29% strongly approve of his performance! Up a point!

You guys are the 29%. Of course you think he’s doing great, Surrender Summit after Surrender Summit.

He’s setting the table for Surrender Summit III with Iran.

Over the 28 months the deal has been in effect, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the foremost authority on the matter, said it found Iran committed no violations.

After tRump announced backing out of the nuclear deal in May “Rouhani ordered the country’s atomic agency to prepare to enrich uranium…”

Nice move, Donnie. Fortunately for the world, the other signees, the EU, Russia, UK, China, France and Germany have committed to the agreement.

Anyway, expect Surrender Summit III in a month or so, where tRump will give Iran all they desire, and tRump will declare victory. This has to occur before the mid-terms. tRump will also have Surrender Summit IIb with Putin to settle on their approach for winning the midterms.

        • formwiz says:

          Then why is he threatening?

People do this when they’re desperate. The mullahs are desperate. They’re being isolated economically and militarily (you’d know this if you read something besides the Daily Worker (or the WaPo)).

          Trump’s work.

          • Jalal al-Din says:

President Rouhani stated Iran would not stand idly by if the US blocked their oil exports.

tRump, like Dubya before him, sees the political benefit of saber-rattling. Even better if he can provoke a military confrontation.

          • Jalal al-Din says:

            Then why is he threatening?
People do this when they’re desperate.

Is that why you and another commenter are threatening me and others?

          • david134 says:

            Jeff,
Who is threatening you? Now we feel you are a troll that is of low intelligence, immature, and bring nothing to discussions except for reminding us of the negative stereotype of a misinformed and ignorant liberal.

We’ll see what happens in November. tRump is planning to work again with Putin to bugger the election for the GOPhers.

            Here’s a tidbit from 2012:

            Donald J. Trump

            @realDonaldTrump

@BarackObama will attack Iran in order to get re-elected.
            12:53 PM – 17 Jan 2012

Anyway, come back when you’re coherent. Or with another credible threat. You’re making life tough on TEACH.

    • formwiz says:

NBC poll, always consider the source.

And Riouhani has been sending nastygrams for a while now.

Of course, Jeffery scoffed when Trump started warning Kim.

How many threats has he made against us? How many missiles has he fired?

      • Jalal al-Din says:

Kim doesn’t have to make threats anymore, he got what he wanted from Surrender Summit I (SS-I), stopping joint military exercises, a world stage with the US President – moral equivalence with the US.

How many remains from the Korea War have been returned?

tRump is turning the US into a member of the Axis of Evil.

        • formwiz says:

Which was what? No pallets of cash, no food. Increased contact with the South. And joint exercises on a small unit level continue.

And quite a lot of remains are coming back.

200 so far and another 250 on the way.

        • gitarcarver says:

After the summit, Korea has said it will start returning remains of US solders. That announcement hadn’t happened before, and yet some people want to blame Trump.

As for the number of remains being returned from Korea, there is progress (Notice the number of soldiers returned that served during WWII that are on the list.)

Finally, not having a joint military exercise in return for North Korea agreeing to stop its weapons development program, agreeing to meet with South Korea and agreeing to return the remains of US military personnel is a major win in the diplomacy area for this administration. (Especially when compared to the previous administration.)

Sorry to bother you with facts..

Just can’t wait. Enjoy it while it lasts.

tRump’s next move will be a summit in Istanbul with Rouhani where tRump will cancel our alliance with Israel.

We’re surprised the Republicans didn’t investigate.

On the other hand, there appeared to be actual Russian agents in the tRump campaign. At least enough worry that 4 different Republican FISA judges agreed to surveillance.

After tRump’s next Surrender Summit, he’ll send Jared to Tehran to arrange a new Trump Tehran Hotel and Casino.

The truth has a clear liberal bias.

Guys: The Trump regime exemplifies post-truth America. They didn’t start it but they’ve honed it. Politicians and other demagogues have lied and exaggerated forever, but Trump doesn’t even bother to hide his lies. He just repeats them over and over and over.

No society can survive without truth.

    • covjefe says:

Certainly not on the topic you cite. Sorry, he is incorrect. But we can understand why he prefers alternatives to the truth.

      https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2018/jul/23/donald-trump/donald-trump-falsely-says-new-carter-page-document/

The dossier was used, to some extent, to persuade a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court to authorize surveillance of Page. But it was the actions of another Trump campaign adviser — George Papadopoulos — that actually started the investigation.
Trump adviser George Papadopoulos triggered investigation

The federal government started looking into Russian election involvement in July 2016 based on information from Papadopoulos. This was confirmed by Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee.

“The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Pete Strzok,” the House Intelligence Committee’s GOP members wrote in a Feb. 2 memo.

According to the New York Times, Papadopoulos told a high-ranking Australian diplomat at an upscale London bar in May 2016 that Moscow had “political dirt” on Hillary Clinton. Australian officials relayed this information to their American counterparts.

Trump also confused the timeline of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s involvement.
The Papadopoulos discussion of Clinton dirt that triggered the investigation took place in May 2016. Yet an entire year would pass before Mueller entered the picture.

The Justice Department did not appoint Mueller to take over the FBI investigation until May 2017, roughly a week after Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

We know, we know.. Politifact and the NY Times are just making stuff up. But Mr. Mueller has all this information and much, much more. Donald Trump knows the truth too, but is lying to you.

        • Jalal al-Din says:

Facts and truth do not matter to NuCons.

It’s now clear that Devin Nunes lied in his memo. The House Committee signed off on the memo, knowing it was false.

The FISA court WAS advised that the Steele dossier WAS paid for by a party looking for opposition research on Trump.

Trump was not “illegally surveilled” by the Obama administration, since the FISA warrant was legal and the Republican judges approved it more than once. They felt there was probable cause that Carter Page was a foreign agent.

Trump et al just claim the FISA warrant exonerates them, even though it does no such thing. It’s what they do.

          Cult.

      • gitarcarver says:

Sorry, but Trump is right on this one and Politifact is wrong.

        Trump’s tweet reads:

So we now find out that it was indeed the unverified and Fake Dirty Dossier, that was paid for by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC, that was knowingly & falsely submitted to FISA and which was responsible for starting the totally conflicted and discredited Mueller Witch Hunt!

While Papadopoulos indeed started the investigation at a low lever, it was the Steele dossier – the faked Steele dossier bought and paid for by Democrats – that brought Special Counsel Mueller into the fray and gave him extra authority and scope which he has abused.

Without the Steele dossier, the investigation would have turned up what we now know – that Russians phished both the DNC and the RNC, but the RNC caught the phishing while the DNC did not. (In fact, not only did the DNC not catch the phishing attacked, they were warned of the attempts and did nothing. Then once the DNC was informed their networks and servers were compromised, they did nothing.) Instead of looking at a simple cybercrime case, the Steele dossier made the Mueller investigation which can look outside the US for information which normally the FBI cannot do, look for Russians hiding everywhere.

In short, Papadopoulos’ information started an FBI investigation while the Steele dossier triggered a much further reaching investigation and Mueller being appointed as Special Counsel.

        • Jalal al-Din says:

you did accidently tell one truth…

While Papadopoulos indeed started the investigation

Did Steele know who was paying for his research? No.

You blame the DNC for getting hacked. You probably blame girls for getting raped.

There is no evidence that the Steele document was faked.

You are speculating and spouting Trump talking points that the dossier brought Mueller into the case. (Hint: Comey firing.)

We understand why the Trump regime is panicked. It’s the price we pay for electing a moral and intellectual cypher. We told you Trump was unfit.

          • gitarcarver says:

Did Steele know who was paying for his research? No.

Correct. To avoid what happened and any appearance of coercion and impropriety (as turned out to be true) he should have known.

You blame the DNC for getting hacked. You probably blame girls for getting raped.

You seek to absolve them of doing the most basic of computer security protocols. That means the people that were going to be in control of US secrets and classified documents did not know how to secure their information. Even if one wants to forgive them for being that stupid and ignorant, what cannot be forgiven is once knowing the servers were compromised, they did nothing.

You defense of the DNC also doesn’t include the fact that what was uncovered – the rigging of the primaries for Clinton – was the same type of heinous activity they accuse the Russians of. Except there is one key difference: there is NO EVIDENCE that the Russians changed a single vote or rig the election That is something that the DNC cannot say.

There is no evidence that the Steele document was faked.

The document is real as it was one paper and an electronic file. The information was full of lies.

You are speculating and spouting Trump talking points that the dossier brought Mueller into the case.

Except it is not speculation. Mueller was given Special Counsel powers AFTER the Steele dossier (with its lies) was presented to the FISA Courts. The FBI thought they had something so they sought the appointment of a Special Counsel. That triggering even was the Steele dossier and its presentation to the FISA court. (BTW – we now know that the FBI lied to the FISA Court about the strength and veracity of the Steel dossier.)

We told you Trump was unfit.

You also said that the economy would tank under Trump. (It hasn’t.) You said that Trump hates women. (He doesn’t) You said that Trump would hate and try to suppress minorities. (He hasn’t)

We told you that Hillary and the DNC was incompetent and facts are bearing that out.

          • J Hosha'na says:

Nothing in the Steele dossier has been shown to be false.

You continue to blame the crime victims.

The RNC was hacked but nothing was revealed, since the Putin wanted Trump to win.

Trump has not killed the economy yet, but his stupid trade war is already disrupting markets. Companies are lined up for dispensations from his tariffs. In his defense, presidents usually have little impact on business cycles – Fiscal stimulation in recessions – staying out of the way, and paying down debt, in expansions. Also in his defense, there’s little room for improvement at “full” employment, although wages for the working classes remain stagnant. His tariffs (taxes) are hurting American workers. The economy has been steadily growing since the Great Recession, so he should be grateful for his good fortune.

Of course he’s unfit. Our job is to limit the damage he does. Fortunately, the world realizes that he does not represent Americans.

        • J Hosha'na says:

Trump and his 30% are circling the wagons, as well they should.

          • Hoss says:

Democrats think Trump should have really made a statement of who’s running shit by sending the clerics and Rouhani a couple pallets full of cash and some other secret concessions in return for getting absolutely nothing but a good jerking-off. That’d show Iran who’s the boss.

Democrats are in full desperation mode, and hopefully their implosion will soon be complete.

  7. jefe jefe says:

Sound familiar? Trump released an enemies list. People who criticize and have expertise. He hates that. Maybe he’s planning to send them to re-education camp. Or to Russia.

  8. J Hosha'na says:

We get it. The walls are closing in. You recognize that Trump was unfit.

It’s very unlikely that it can be proved that the Russian attacks influenced the vote, but clearly that was their intent. That’s the corner you will be in, snarling at those around you.

The question was whether the trump campaign were active participants or just patsies. Clearly they were involved with the Russians.

The Steele dossier has not been shown to be filled with lies. Did trump watch Russian hookers pee on a bed? If he did, the Russians know about it. And it wouldn’t be the worst thing trump has done.

Trump’s actions regarding Russia are suspect. His performance in Helsinki was weak. Only Mr. Trump knows all of what he’s done, and he’s acting like a guilty man. He is cornered. He will either concede or lash out with fire and fury, and frankly, power at his tormenters with the full power of the American presidency.

I think he will lash out for a while, but in the end, resign, but only after working a deal with the prosecutors. He’ll declare victory and get on with his grifting.
