News Outlet Which Leads In TDS Decides To Tell Us What TDS Is

I was going to tell you about the #ZeroHour demonstration which went on today with all the kiddies, but, it apparently failed so badly

that no one seems to be covering it. Not MSNBC, not CNN, not even the hyper-Warmist UK Guardian. So, let’s go to Chris Cillizza at CNN

What is ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ — and do you have it?

“Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia,” he tweeted. “They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!”

Worried you might have Trump Derangement Syndrome? Wondering where it came from? I’m here to help!

Let’s start with what Trump Derangement Syndrome means.

Urban Dictionary offers up this handy definition: “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.”

Anyhow, Chris goes through a bunch of stuff, even how this all started as Bush Derangement Syndrome, and ends with

We no longer live around, work around or pal around with people who think any differently than us. We watch cable news that affirms what we already think. We read ideological “news” sites that tell us how good our side is and how bad the other one is. And on and on and on.

Is it any wonder then that we are increasingly willing to lump those who disagree with us into the “deranged” category? To say that those who don’t share our views are mentally deficient in some way?

What does it say about a President — and about a country — when the standard response to those with whom you disagree is that they must be crazy? Nothing good, for sure.

Here’s the thing: not every Liberal has TDS. But, the amount of insanity emanating from the Democrats, and liberals around the world, is gigantic. And it’s not from the fringes. The thing about palling around? That’s mostly a Leftist thing. Conservatives weren’t threatening to leave the US if Obama was elected. We weren’t hanging Obama in effigy. Sure, we made fun of him. We weren’t apoplectic over every single thing he did. We didn’t loathe the man for who he was, but for his policies.

And, let’s not forget that the Left’s standard response to people with differing views is to call them Nazis, KKKers, racists, etc. And that this, along with TDS, involves the Credentialed media and elected Democrats.

If you believe opposing Trump because he’s harming America is deranged, then:

If you believe trump won the popular vote, you’re deranged.

If you believe trump represented the US well in Helsinki, you’re deranged.

If you believe trump separating toddler from their parents was a good idea you’re deranged.

If you believe Kim Jong Un is giving up his nukes because tRump, you’re deranged.

If you believe tariffs represent “free trade”, you’re deranged.

If you believe tax cuts for the rich help an economy, you’re deranged.

If you believe the Earth isn’t warming from greenhouse gases, you’re deranged.

If you believe the Earth is just several thousand years old, you’re deranged.

7 million fraudulent votes, 5.8 mil cast by illegals, says he did.

Helsinki, he got Poot on board in Syria and with the Norks.

      Zippy separated toddlers.

Kim, he has – you seen a rocket shot off lately?

      No, they’re fair trade.

No, they help everybody and tax cuts always stimulate the economy, ask the IRS.

      It isn’t.

Earth might not be, but most of the extant species are.

      Only one deranged is you.

        Deranged!

I suppose you believe tRump had the biggest inauguration crowd evah!

Does tRump do any wrong, in your view?

        • Jl says:

Yes, he’s caused libs like you to be in perpetual hissy fits since the 2016 election.

        • formwiz says:

If that’s your biggest problem with him, you’re the one that’s deranged.

Wossa matta? Facts got you stymied?

I opposed G.W. Bush, based on primarily two policies – tax cuts for the rich and the invasion of Iraq. But Bush was a decent man and a patriotic American who would never think of betraying America. Donald Trump is none of those things, does not understand America, has no concept of human decency, and hurts this nation daily. The GOP is enabling his worst instincts in exchange for power to enact their agenda.

tRump is clearly unfit to be president.

    • McGehee says:

Ten years from now you’ll be admitting good things about Trump to justify your derangement about the next Republican president.

We’ve seen this movie before, Jeff.

      • Jalal al-Din says:

Ten years from now Trump will be remembered as the worst president in RussoAmerica’s history.

        • Jl says:

Ten years from now Trump will be remembered as the president who left office 4 yrs earlier, causing even more liberal hisssy fits.

        • McGehee says:

You guys were saying the same thing about Reagan and both Bushes — back when you thought “Russoamerica” was a good idea.

By the way, when did the John Birch Society take over the Democratic Party?

          • Jalal al-Din says:

When did Russia take over the GOP? Hint: 2015

Is it just a coincidence that tRump associates up and down the campaign had contacts with Russians – contacts they tried to hide? So the campaign colluded with the Russians but tRump didn’t know?

I opposed Reagan and both Bushes primarily because of their domestic concerns – misguided tax policies. Bush Jr. DID engineer the invasion of Iraq.

          • McGehee says:

Jeffar bin Shroomin, you make me laugh.

            At you.

        • formwiz says:

No, that’s your Mocha Messiah. Even Poot couldn’t take such a pansy.

    • formwiz says:

You opposed Dubya the second you were told to.

And Zippy was the one, like you, who does not understand America, has no concept of human decency, and hurt this nation daily.

Trump is the patriot, ending wars, improving the economy, fighting for working people, and exposing the Deep State.

  5. McGehee says:

    People with TDS are tedious.

  6. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
With your stupid desperate comments I have added another observation about your career. You are one of those poor souls who filled out of premed and took the bail out to pharmacy school. Explains why you are dumb and why you are mad at the world.

    • jefferson says:

I didn’t attend a pharmacy school. Nor did I “filled out of premed”, whatever that means.

I’ve been an adjunct prof at a pharmacy school, a med school and a nursing school. Pharmacy students are smarter and more motivated than med students. Post-grad nursing students are the most motivated of all. Pharmacists and nurses kill far fewer people than do doctors.

As a fiscal conservative do you refuse Medicare and Medicaid payments?

      • david7134 says:

Yep, but the nail on the head. You need to let your failure go and grow up. I have been a professor of medicine and cardiology and pharmacy associated with the medical school. Never heard of an adjunct professor.

        • jefferson says:

          Congratulations on your career.

          You should look up adjunct.

It’s a part-time professor with a real job outside the university. Usually brought on board for a specific need, e.g., physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology, pathophysiology.

          • david7134 says:

That is also a title given to people without credentials, in other words, nothing.

        • jefferson says:

          What do you consider credentials?

I played golf with a severe case of TDS yesterday. It was no fun, because everything triggered her anger.

I was trying to tell her about my great trip to Europe and how I enjoyed visiting 1000-year old historical sites, and she jumped in with “Europe is so peaceful but America today is still fighting a war for civil rights”. There was nowhere to go with that so I ignored it and complemented her drive.

Then her phone buzzed and she looked at the screen and jumped up and down saying “we got him, we got that M^%$^f&*ker”. I said “What?”. She said “Cohen made tapes of all of his conversations with Trump! He’s going DOWN! He’s going DOWN!”. I say “I doubt that will happen” and she’s like “You support everything Trump does, you must be a Trump supporter!”. Then it was Russia, Russia, Russia. “Russia is inside our government running part of our country!”, “Trump is a traitor and allied with Putin!”… When I brought up all of Trump’s tough-on-Russia policies she said they’re all fake news and pulled up her phone “I have facts, I speak about facts, you have nothing. Where do you get your news, Fox News?, You don’t know anything, you’ve been on vacation and missed the Helsinki thing, I’m so embarrassed for our country”… and so on. I tried three times to steer the conversation to golf and asked her to drop it, but she was so furious and when she saw my exasperated smile she blew up “You’re laughing at me, I have facts!” and walked off.

I hate to lose a friend, but something broke in this one while I was away and if I can’t talk about friendly and personal stuff with her without her going down the rabbit hole, it’s over. I never cared about her leftist politics before, but now she’s too angry to be around as a friend. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

  8. JGlanton says:

I really tried not to ask her questions so she would drop it, but when I asked about it, apparently the “war for civil rights” has something to do with Planned Parenthood and rights for poor women’s healthcare or something. I did say “There isn’t a right for other people to pay for your abortion”, to which she went off on a rant about how many parts of the country, especially red states, have only PP to serve the health needs of poor women.

I’m like “nice approach shot”. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_smile.gif There really isn’t any reason to talk to these people. It was like talking to the woman who says Ben Carson isn’t black: https://youtu.be/0LeJPV5WLak?t=4m6s
