GOP Looks To Do Away With Obama Czars

There’s going to be some unhappy folks in Obamaworld

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and 28 other House Republicans introduced legislation to do away with the informal, paid advisers President Obama has employed over the past two years.

The legislation, which was introduced in the last Congress but was not allowed to advance under Democratic control, would do away with the 39 czars Obama has employed during his administration.

Excellent news, attempting to do away with unelected, un-controlled, un-accountable advisors. And, sheesh, without them, Obama might actually have to forget the parties, golf outings, vacations, and burger joint visits, and, you know, work.

This is encouraging both from a fiscal and a symbolic perspective. And no matter who appointed the first “czar”, it’s a bad idea that’s only gotten worse.

But, I am wondering how they would do that? Course, they are also in charge of the purse strings. Am curious, as well, how they ever got funded in first place?!
