Project Veritas Releases Video Highlights Dems Urging Illegals To Vote

Democrats are for voter fraud when it helps them

As Allahpundit notes

Man, did O’Keefe pick the right moment and the right state for this clip. By now everyone in conservative media has seen that bombshell Old Dominion study claiming that Democrat-heavy non-citizen votes may have delivered a Senate seat to Al Franken six years ago, which made a filibuster-proof majority possible for ObamaCare two years later. That same study claimed that Obama’s 2008 margin of victory in — ta da — North Carolina might also have been provided by non-citizens. And now here we are, five days away from a major midterm election in which control of the Senate hangs in the balance, and Kay Hagan’s leading Thom Tillis by one thin point in good ol’ NC. If she wins that race by a thousand votes, you’ll have confidence in the integrity of the outcome, won’t you?

No wonder Democrats are so virulently against voter ID. Oh, and giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens.

Team Obama To Release Doomy Climate Change Plan As Massive Cold Front Rolls Through

Why would Team Obama release a climate change report on Halloween? It’s not like most Americans actually care that much. Maybe they’re trying to get out their younger base to vote. Anyhow

(Washington Post) The Obama administration on Friday plans to publish a small library’s worth of climate change documents, outlining 38 federal agencies’ vulnerabilities to global warming and how they will address them — as well as a separate and even larger set of new government-wide plans to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and achieve new targets for sustainability.

In sum, the reports represent over a thousand pages of climate change threat assessment and sustainability planning by a vast federal complex that collectively operates 360,000 buildings, maintains 650,000 vehicles and spends $25 billion on energy costs per year.

It’ll be all sorts of doomy, based on computer models, wishful thinking, gazing in crystal balls, and junk science

In many cases, the vulnerabilities revealed are stark. The Department of Agriculture, for instance, sees “the potential for up to 100 percent increase in the number of acres burned annually by 2050” by wildfires, according to its new adaptation report. The agency notes that fire suppression expenditures have already grown from 13 percent of the Forest Service’s budget in 1991 to 40 percent of it today, and says the service’s other operations are imperiled by the continual demand to throw more resources at fires.

Of course, in reality, wildfires have a) been on the decrease, b) there are more homes and buildings to burn, and c) so many of them are not caused by “climate change”, but dumbasses. Furthermore, 1) wildfires have always happened, and 2) envirowackos have stopped any efforts to clear out areas of dead trees and brush.

The Department of Health and Human Services, in its new report, says it views climate change as “one of the top public health challenges of our time.” It outlines risks including more frequent or worse extreme heat events — which the agency calls “the leading weather-related cause of death in the U.S.” — changes in vector-borne diseases like West Nile virus and Chagas disease, and “increased production of plant-based allergens,” leading to more episodes of asthma and allergic responses in some people.

The leading cause is cold. Furthermore, nothing proves anthropogenic causation.

Anyhow, hyper-Warmist Chris Mooney continues on in that vein, and, really, as someone in the comments, Jack86, notes “Did I just hear a cry for more money for each of these 38 agencies and an increase in staff? That wheezing sound you hear is a bloated, out of shape, inefficient government getting even bigger.” Oh, and another points out that this will be written on “reams and reams of paper”. Isn’t killing trees bad for Hotcoldwetdry?

Meanwhile, in another part of the Washington Post

An unusually intense upper level disturbance for mid-autumn crashes from Lake Superior to South Carolina between Thursday and Saturday.

This spinning, super high energy weather system sets up a snowstorm for sections of the Appalachian mountains. In its wake, unseasonably cold temperatures drive into the Southeast, challenging records.  As it spawns a storm over the ocean on Saturday, powerful winds will then buffet much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

“It’s the kind the kind of weather event you expect in January — not November 1,” writes meteorologist Roy Spencer in a blog post headlined “Polar Vortex Charleston” given the disturbance’s roots in the high Arctic and excursion towards the southern city.

The wound-up disturbance or vortex, practically free-falling from north to south along a sharply undulating jet stream, is likely to produce several inches of snow along the spine of the Appalachians from western Maryland southward. Some of the heaviest snow is expected in southwest Virginia and western North Carolina where the National Weather Service has hoisted Winter Storm watches for 4 to 6 inches of snow, mainly for elevations above 3,000 feet.

It’s going to very cold. Good timing on the release, Team Obama.

Of course, this will surely be blamed on “climate change”, because Someone Else driving a fossil fueled vehicle now causes cold. And snow!

Politico Says GOP Senate Takeover Could Be Short Lived

Liberal news outlets are funny. Politico has essentially given up on Democrats retaining control of the Senate this cycle, and are wish-theorizing for 2016

(Politico) Senate Democrats have long awaited the 2010 tea party wave to splash back on Republicans during the 2016 election cycle.

That moment is almost here.

After two years of obsessive focus on the teetering reelection prospects of red-state Democrats, the attention is about to shift in a major way to blue-state Republicans. Six of them who rode anti-Obama sentiment to office in 2010 are up in two years, and they’ll face the dual challenge of a more diverse electorate and potentially Hillary Clinton atop the Democratic ticket.

The leftward-tilting map means a GOP-controlled Senate could be short-lived if the party prevails on Tuesday. Even in the best-case scenario for the party, a Republican majority is certain to be slim.

Yup, Politico has given up. And they’re praying to whatever God is allowed in their little insane universe that Dems can do well in 2016.

I suspect we’ll see similar rhetoric from Democrats over the next few days, leading up to the final 2014 election results. Followed by a few days of moping. Then back to bat guano insane.

Rep. Chris Coons: Stop Being Mean To Those Who Come To US Possibly Striken With Ebola

Representative Chris Coons, Democrat-Delaware, makes some good points. He also makes some seriously dumb ones. I wonder whether his opinion would change if some of these people coming from Ebola areas ended up in Delaware?

Those who help Ebola patients should be honored, not punished

The best way to protect Americans from Ebola is by stopping the virus at its source.

That’s why President Obama has committed up to 4,000 U.S. military engineers, logistics specialists and public health trainers and $1 billion in funding to help eradicate the virus in West Africa. That’s why philanthropist Paul Allen pledged $100 million in support last week and why Samantha Power, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, visited the affected countries this week.

Interestingly, the military members sent involuntarily to West Africa will be quarantined. Strange. Furthermore, if we want to stop it at its source, then we need to keep it at its source, not allow it to roam around the streets of the U.S.

We cannot protect Americans at home without sending Americans to Liberia, Guinea or Sierra Leone. Instead of demonizing those who volunteer for service, through stigmatizing mandatory quarantines or the imposition of a travel ban, we should be honoring them.

I see what you did there. Using a time honored system of keeping people who are potential disease carriers (the current outbreak of Ebola has roughly a 60% mortality rate) away from other people to limit the potential spread is “demonizing”. Let’s not forget that they volunteered to go to those countries, unlike our military members. And, they should be celebrated for taking the chance and putting themselves in harms way To Help. Seriously. Kudos. That doesn’t mean they should be allowed to wander around until the threat has passed.

Interestingly, the same Democrats tend to treat our military members as uneducated hillbillies and scumbags.

There’s a simple way to do that: The president should guarantee that all U.S. citizens who travel to West Africa to help fight Ebola will be allowed to return to the United States, that any medical care they need as a result of their trip will be provided free of charge and that wages lost to any government-imposed quarantine will be reimbursed. That’s the least we can do for the volunteers, missionaries and military personnel working to end this outbreak.

On one hand, they volunteered. This should be on them. On the other hand, I’m OK with it. But, um, why should we need to reimburse them if they are quarantined, because Coons had previously argued against quarantine?

But some of our political leaders have been sending the opposite message. The measures imposed by officials in New York and New Jersey last weekend — although later softened — sent a dangerous, punitive message to these dedicated people. Forced quarantines and the barring of people without Ebola symptoms are tactics not backed by science.

Wait, didn’t he just argue that people should be reimbursed after being quarantined?

I’m not sure about honoring these people, but they should be respected. And they should respect the citizens of the U.S. by being quarantined till the threat of contagion passes.

UN IPCC To Announce Yet Another Coming Super Dire Tipping Point

‘Cause doom or something

(USA Today) The United Nations’ leading panel on climate change is preparing to warn of “severe, pervasive and irreversible” weather and climate extremes if the world doesn’t start to corral greenhouse gases that cause global warming, according to a draft of its report.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the world’s top scientific group dedicated to climate, is meeting in Copenhagen this week and will adopt its final report to be released Sunday.

Well, that’s strange. All those fossil fueled trips sure put out quite a bit of “carbon pollution”, do they not?

A draft out this week contains some of the most strident language yet by the panel about climate change.

“Continued emission of greenhouse gases will cause further warming and long-lasting changes in all components of the climate system, increasing the likelihood of severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts for people and ecosystems,” the draft states.

“Human influence on the climate system is clear, and recent anthropogenic (man-made) emissions of greenhouse gases are the highest in history,” it says. “The atmosphere and ocean have warmed, the amounts of snow and ice have diminished, and sea level has risen.”

OK, I think we can guarantee a brutal winter in the Northern Hemisphere during the upcoming season after that prognostication.

Jessica Hellmann, associate professor of biological sciences at the University of Notre Dame, warned about the dire consequences of the findings.

“The report explains that we are approaching a global tipping point,” Hellmann said. “If we cross this point, we will see huge changes in ecosystems, our ability to grow food, and increased human suffering from flood, heat, drought and sea level rise.”

Interestingly, their report will also acknowledge that there has been a 15 year “Pause”, despite the overgrowing atmospheric CO2 concentration. But, hey, they need to provide a scary narrative in order to push their hard left “solutions”.

Hooray: Michelle Obama Ruins Halloween In Philly

It’s funny. Liberals tell us that government can have no rules, no regulations, no laws, nor restrictions on abortion. Choice! Reproductive freedom! Hands off our uterus’! Of course, when it comes to almost everything other than baby killing…

(The Blaze) The Philadelphia Veterans Affairs office announced Wednesday that it would hold a Halloween parade on Friday for children of VA employees, but warned employees not to hand out any candy or sweets to the kids.

Instead, the VA said the day care center in the office has “joined First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Program,” which means the kids should be given things other than candy.

“Please help us teach our children to make healthy food choices!!” the VA said in an email to employees.

“If you would like to hand out treats during the parade, please give healthy snacks such as pretzels, raisins, granola bars and sliced apples,” it said. “NO CANDY PLEASE!”

“You may want to consider gifts such as pencils, crayons and rings instead of snacks,” it added.

No mention as to whether councilors will be provided after the kids freak out and start crying over Halloween being ruined by Michelle Obama, who typically fails to follow the guidelines for herself and family.

BTW, here’s the lunch menu for Obama’s kids at the Sidwell School for Halloween

Snack: Yogurt Variety
Pumpkin Soup
Pesto Pasta Salad
Halloween Chili
Veggie Halloween Chili
Roasted Butternut Squash
Basmati Rice
Caramel Candy Apples

Caramel, huh? Kids eat better than those who suffer ender Michelle’s healthy food push.

Senator Whitehouse Exposes Carbon Tax Push As A Redistribution Scheme

As I’ve noted numerous times, the whole “climate change” schtick is really just another part of the far left Progressive policy push, an attempt to instituted their out of the mainstream agenda. Senator Whitehouse unintentionally exposes part of that push

(ECO Watch) Delivering a keynote address at the New York University Institute for Policy Integrity’s fall conference, in which he noted “The world has just set some dubious records. 2014 is on pace to tie or become the hottest year on record,” U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse announced that he plans to introduce legislation creating a carbon pollution fee next month. He said he will reveal details in the next few weeks. (snip)

“Pollution-driven climate change hurts our economy, damages our infrastructure and harms public health,” he told his audience. “However, none of these costs are factored into the price of the coal or oil that’s burned to release this carbon. The big oil and coal companies have offloaded those costs onto society. Economics 101 tells us that’s a market failure; in the jargon, that negative externalities are inefficient. If a company participates in an activity that causes harm, it should have to compensate those harmed.”

“By making carbon pollution free, we subsidize fossil fuel companies to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars annually,” he continued. “By making carbon pollution free, we fix the game, favoring polluters over newer and cleaner technologies that harvest the wind, sun and waves.  Corporate polluters, not bearing the costs of their products, are in effect cheating their competitors.”

What does he tell us he wants during the speech, for which he certainly took a fossil fueled trip from Rhode Island, and a return trip afterwards

Whitehouse praised the Obama administration’s limit on carbon emissions from power plants, announced in June, saying “It will change the way polluters think.” But he’d like to take the next step of making polluters pay for their cost to society. He said that not only would it reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality, it would generate significant new revenue for the federal government, perhaps as much as a two trillion dollars in the first decade. He pointed to some of the positive uses that money could be applied to, including cutting taxes, relieving student debt, increasing Social Security benefits and providing transition assistance to workers in fossil fuel industries.

So, really just a redistribution scheme. What he means by “cutting taxes” is giving money to certain people as rebates after paying federal tax rates, not actually lowering the tax rate.

And then there’s this, from one of the people in the comments “As soon as you use the term “carbon pollution” for CO2, you announce to the world that you don’t know a damn thing about science, and you immediately disqualify yourself from any rational discussion thereof.”

La Raza Pushing Illegals To Voting States With Not ID Requirements

According to Democrats, illegals are no big deal when it comes to voter fraud. And voter ID is raaaaacist, mean, and bigoted. And violates civil rights and stuff, you guys. Why? They won’t admit it, but voter ID will help stop voter fraud that helps Democrats

(IBD) The National Council of La Raza is promoting no-identification voting states to its followers. Might that have something to do with its advocacy of illegal immigration and the Democrats’ flagging electoral fortunes?

La Raza, as it’s known, is no ordinary nongovernmental organization in the “anti-poverty” racket. A group of lawyers and activists, it has long functioned as the illegal alien lobby in the U.S., advocating aggressively for the cause of open borders.

For its latest stunt, it has published on its website and social media a list of voting stations that don’t require IDs. Interesting, given a recent Harvard study showing that illegal immigrants have almost certainly swung close elections in recent years by canceling out U.S. citizens’ votes to ensure Democrat victories.

With Democrats trailing in the polls, it’s reasonable to conclude they’re seeking to swing another through the illegal alien vote on Tuesday.

La Raza has massive links to both the Obama administration and to the Democrat Party. The have a superiority complex (the name translates to “The Race”), and have even called for returning parts of the US Southwest to Mexico. Which is strange, since so many left Mexico. I had a Twitter fight with a La Raza supporter which ended up with her/him telling me that “they were here first”.

The La Raza people say it’s because Republicans would suppress their votes. But the real risk is of illegals swinging elections. There’s nothing legal about effectively disenfranchising citizens in their own country by encouraging illegals to cancel out their votes.

Democrats freaked out after the 2000 and 2004 elections, shrieking that the election was stolen due to voter/election fraud. Heck, you can still find some harping on Florida 2000. But, they have no problem with an illegal canceling out the vote of a legitimate citizen, because most that get canceled out are Republican votes. Then we have this, from PJ Media’s Brian Preston

An election integrity watchdog group is suing the state of Maryland, alleging that it has discovered massive and ongoing fraudulent voting by non-U.S. citizens in one county. But because of the way that the non-citizens are able to cast votes in elections, the fraud is likely happening in every single county and subdivision across the state. The group believes that the illegal voting has been happening for years.

The group, Virginia Voters Alliance, says that it compared how voters in Frederick County filled out jury duty statements compared with their voting records. The group’s investigation found that thousands of people in Frederick County who stated that they are not U.S. citizens on jury duty forms went on to cast votes in elections. Either they failed to tell the truth when they were summoned for jury duty, or they cast illegal votes. Both are crimes. The same group previously found that about 40,000 people are registered to vote in both Virginia and Maryland.

While Maryland is a Democrat stronghold, the race for Governor is tight, and Democrats have no problem cheating to win.

Crossed at Right Wing News.

Warmists Freak Out Over Sarah Palin Declaration, Call Her “Climate Criminal”

I’m obviously no longer a big fan of Sarah Palin, but she does make some good points now and then, designed to drive liberals nuts

(HuffPo) Sarah Palin is once again brushing off global warming as “junk science,” comparing (that’s the link to her video) warnings about the threat of climate change to the eugenics movement of the early 20th century.

Last week, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate recorded a video for the Sarah Palin Channel dismissing the “con job” of man-made climate change.

“I’m not a denier. I don’t doubt that climate change exists,” Palin says in the video. “No one has proven that these changes are caused by anything done by human beings via greenhouse gases. There’s no convincing scientific evidence for man-made climate change. The climate has always been changing.”

She continues: “Climate change is to this century what eugenics was to the last century. It’s hysteria and a lot of it’s junk science. And when it’s as discredited as eugenics, you know a lot of people are going to look very foolish and heartless.”

It’s an interesting comparison to the eugenics push by Leftists, which has never really went away. “Climate change” is very much about pushing junk science to make political points. Here in North Carolina, Democrats used the eugenics push to sterilize mostly women, and mostly minority (meaning Black) women during the 20th Century. Palin notes in the video

“In the meantime, don’t buy into the global warming con simply because it’s hip with celebrities and limousine liberals who consume more fuel and emit more emissions bee-bopping around in their private jets and multiple mansions than the rest of us ever will,” she wrote in the Facebook post. “We could have more respect for these folks if they behaved in their private lives as if global warming really is as catastrophic as they publicly claim it is.”

The comments at Talking Points Memo were less than charitable, and if Republicans were writing stuff like that about a Democrat woman, there would be a huge kerfuffle, #WarOnWomen. And, obviously, lots of Progressive sites are slamming her, but here’s the best

SARAH PALIN — THE DUMBEST CLIMATE CRIMINAL ALIVE

That’s from Ring Of Fire, a hardcore Progressive website for radio and videos, which features hyper-Warmist (and massive climahypocrite) Robert F Kennedy, Jr. And we can see the way these hardcores think, calling people who do not believe the same way “criminals”. Yes, Progressives really do want to criminalize thought.

You also get others, like this at Raw Story

The hosts of The Young Turks mocked former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Tuesday for her attempt to dismiss climate change as “bad science” like the eugenics scares of the 20th century.

“All you can really do is look at her and laugh at her and make fun of her,” Ana Kasparian said. “But in reality, there’s a serious point to take away from all this: it’s assholes like the Koch brothers, it’s morons like Sarah Palin and all the other Republicans that deny climate change that’s literally gonna lead to the destruction of this planet.”

Literally!
