Majority Of Americans Want FCC To Keep Hands Off Internet

Obviously, this means that Democrats will do exactly the opposite of what the American people want

American voters believe free market competition will protect Internet users more than government regulation and fear that regulation will be used to push a political agenda.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 21% of Likely U.S. Voters want the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to regulate the Internet as it does radio and television. Fifty-four percent (54%) are opposed to such regulation, and 25% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Funny how 21% of Americans are self identified Liberals, and that’s the same number. There couldn’t be any sort of ulterior motive in having Los Government control the Internet, right? There surely would never be mission creep, and they wouldn’t lose focus of reality and pass stupid regulations, the equivalent of making it publishable by death for putting salt on Alabama railroad tracks and jumping off a building in NYC. No, seriously, the penalty for jumping off a building in NYC is death. An actual law. That’s not as bad as being restricted from carrying an ice cream cone in your back pocket on Sundays, but, you get the picture. Government tends to just…..creep. And instead of the People making the call, we’d have unelected political appointees deciding what is Good And Right And Best For You.
