Reading The Omnibus Bill Is Apparently “Obnoxious”

Only in Extreme Liberal World

OBNOXIOUS DELAYS FOR THE SAKE OF OBNOXIOUS DELAYS…. The irony is, those who’ve been whining the loudest about the poor politicians who have to work in mid-December are the same ones dragging out the process, preventing members from going home.

Yesterday, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) was quite candid about the motivations for his shameless obstructionism: “What I’m trying to do is help run out the clock.”

And what is Steve Benen whining about (OK, I know, a liberal whining, rather the norm)

Republicans will paralyze the Senate floor for 50 hours by forcing clerks to read every single paragraph of the 1,924-page, $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Senate clerks are expected to read the massive bill in rotating shifts around the clock — taking breaks to drink water and pop throat lozenges — to keep legislative business on track, according to a Democratic leadership aide.

The bill is so long that it took the Government Printing Office two days to print it.

God forbid that they have to read the bills they vote on. Apparently, that is now “Obnoxious”.

Juan Cole does his typical bat guano crazy, and throws in some homosexual slurs, which, were he a conservative, would have Liberals ramping Da Crazy to level 11.

In Firedoglake World, somehow it would be the fault of the GOP if Obama signs this bill and creates another “Waterloo.”

Conservatives blogging about reading the bill: The Note, Michelle Malkin, Cubachi, Pundit & Pundette, The Powers That Be, Stop The ACLU, Weasel Zippers, Le·gal In·sur·rec· tion, Outside the Beltway, Don Surber

I wouldn’t have a problem having them read the entire bill IF all those who wanted to hear it were present for those 50 hours.

gitarcarver says that once again you cannot read Ryan, nor do you understand the purpose of the berms.

Once again, you illustrate the depth of your ignorance.
