Fish Wrap Expounds On O’Donnells “Baggage”

You just knew that the NY Times would have to come out with an attack piece, hiding what is essentially a partisan blog post inside a supposedly straight “news” piece: Rebel Republican Marching On, With Baggage

In the bright light of Wednesday morning, Christine O’Donnell, whose Republican primary victory upended the calculus for future control of the United State Senate, became quickly known to Americans as the woman who once made dire warnings about the negative impact of masturbation.

Ms. O’Donnell, 41, who grew up in New Jersey and has lived in Delaware for roughly a half-dozen years, spent the 1990s helping run a sexual morality movement aimed at fellow Gen Xers. But she is largely unknown statewide, in spite of other runs for the Senate.

I just have to ask: what’s the big fucking deal? Have you ever noticed that when it comes to Christian beliefs, Liberals are completely intolerant? Consider O’Donnell’s belief in abstinence and even not masturbating, based on her Christian beliefs. This has been denigrated all over the Liberal (and some Right leaning) Internet, radio, and TV. Does her beliefs actually hurt anyone? No? Yet, these folks are pitching bat-guano fits. Yet, these same, let’s call them……assholes, preach about tolerance for Islam, which pushes Sharia law, which actually does hurt people, especially women and homosexuals, two interest groups that the Left states that they support.

Her views on sex are mentioned several more times in the article, so, again, I will ask “who does this really hurt?” If you do not agree with her views (I don’t), what’s it too you? What makes your view so GD correct over hers?

Even in this woolly primary season, Ms. O’Donnell emerges as a striking departure from the typical Senate candidate. She has struggled for years with personal finance problems — she has reported earnings of only $5,800 between most of this year and last and she has defaulted on her mortgage — and fudged her educational background and past campaign achievement, much of which was dredged up and disseminated by her own party.

The rest is exactly the continuation of a hit piece that you expect. Interestingly, nowhere can anything that is illegal be found. They do mention some tax problems, probably not a good idea considering the number of Obama appointees, Congress persons (especially Democrat ones), and their staffers who have tax problems.

Interestingly, the NY Times has virtually no story about all the baggage that Charlie Rangel has. The most recent mention was within a glowing piece about his primary victory Tuesday, with a few paragraphs in the middle discussing his troubles, made to sound less of a problem than a 15 year old video about abstinence and stop spanking the monkey/clam. Nor does the Times cover all the baggage that other Democrats (or wishy washy Republicans) have.

Liberal tolerance only works when you believe what they believe.

Intolerant ??? Christians can BELIEVE whatever they want. BUT when they try and force their beliefs on others say being anti abortion then yes some liberals may be intolerant. Growing up in MA we had Sunday blue laws that forbid anything except bread milk and eggs on Sundays, but you know what? Because of “intolerance” those laws were repealed Teach what about your own “tolerance” to Muslim beliefs: would you say that you are tolerant? or intolerant ? how about certain Jewish beliefs such as that abortion is OK because a fetus is not considered a human? tolerant ? or intolerant ?
And her problems go FAR beyond her masturbation is wrong video.

I sat down and wrote out all the things that I have done that could be considered bad in the 43 years since college. It is an extensive list and in the light of day would look very bad, expecially taken out of context. For instance, I could be accused of Medicare fraud. That is because any doctor that bills Medicare has technically done so in a fraudulent manner, at least as far as Medicare is concerned. Now the courts look at it different. I got divorced 30 years ago, but would the media understand that I was married to a creature that would make the creature from the Alien look tame?

All I know is that this woman is not a RINO or a communist and therefore I am considering going to Delaware (from Louisiana) and voting for her. I think that the Democrats are ok with that since they do the same.

Does anyone know how to get into the political game? I might run for Senate against Landrieu.

    William,

I noticed that you have two different commenting systems. The one that I had to sign up for isn’t working properly. As luck would have it that one is the one I would like to use, since it has the emotioncons. Whats up with that?

I was just wondering if it would have to do with the browser that I’m using? I despise I.E. and use either Foxfire or Sea Monkey.

I meant Firefox, I always screw up that name.

Everything sailed through just fine. When I post a comment nothing show us.

    • Interesting. I think one of the spam programs, either Bad Behavior, or Akismet (most likely) is catching them. I rescued a few this morning. They go straight to the spam cue, not even hitting moderation. I know that happens with Matthew from Jumping In Pools. I have that problem myself. When I post at other wordpress sites, I have to use my Roadrunner email address, and can’t use my domain name. Works fine with Typepad sites.

Heck, trackbacks to my own site from my own site go in the spam cue.

Meanwhile, O’Donnell is being widely mocked for a claim she made just a few years ago that scientists were “cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains.””If we approach this complicated bioethic issue with our heads in the sand, the other end is in the air,” O’Donnell stated. “American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains. So they’re already into this experiment.”

Hey John. Maybe she was reading the Washington Post a few years ago where they wrote:

    By Rick Weiss

By injecting human embryonic stem cells into the brains of fetal mice inside the womb, scientists in California have created living mice with working human brain cells inside their skulls.

But that’s ok. I know you prefer someone who talks to corpse-men when he visits our 57 states.
