CoC Ministers Meet Online To Discuss Plan To Tackle Bat Soup Virus

They feel that it is very important to tackle the ‘climate change’ scam with BSV, because they are cultists. You can bet if there was no BSV they’d take fossil fueled trips to meet in person in a nice place paid for by the taxpayers

Coronavirus recovery plan ‘must tackle climate change’

Tackling climate change must be woven into the solution to the Covid-19 economic crisis, the UK will tell governments next week.

Environment ministers from 30 countries are meeting in a two-day online conference in a bid to make progress on cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

The gathering is called the “Petersberg Climate Dialogue”.

It will focus on how to organise a “green” economic recovery after the acute phase of the pandemic is over.

The other aim is to forge international agreement on ambitious carbon cuts despite the postponement of the key conference COP26 – previously scheduled for Glasgow in November (now without a date).

Here’s a good question: do the citizeny give a crap? Obviously, some care in theory, but, in reality land, most people just want their lives back. They don’t want Hotcoldwetdry policies instituted that will extend the pain, that will keep them stuck inside, that will keep businesses closed, and could see many permanently closed. They do not want to see their cost of living jacked up.

Alok Sharma, the UK Climate Secretary and president of COP26, said: “I am committed to increasing global climate ambition so that we deliver on the Paris Agreement (to stabilise temperature rise well below 2C).

“The world must work together, as it has to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, to support a green and resilient recovery, which leaves no one behind.

Here’s the dare: tell us exactly what your plans are. Put it in plain language. Let’s see what you actually want to do.

The EU is already set on delivering a green stimulus. The Commission’s Green Deal chief, Frans Timmermans, said every euro spent on economic recovery measures after the COVID-19 crisis would be linked to the green and digital transitions.

“The European Green Deal is a growth strategy and a winning strategy,” he tweeted.

And we’ll see what their recovery looks like. Cultists just gotta cult, you know.

Queen Pelosi Weighs In On Trump Conspiracy That Trump Will Delay 2020 Election

If you take a run through Twitter, the Democratic Underground, hard-left sites, you’ll see many Leftists yammering about Trump using Bat Soup Virus to delay the 2020 election. Some even say permanently. This would have happened even without BSV. We saw the same thing with Bush in 2004 and 2008, saying he wouldn’t leave. Now the moonbats have ammunition to run with, and it has made it to Pelosi

Pelosi: November elections ‘must’ go on as scheduled

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that Democrats “must” ensure that President Trump doesn’t try to delay the Nov. 3 elections, a day after presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden issued a similar warning.

“I know there’s a danger and people are scared, but we must and we will,” Pelosi said of holding the elections as scheduled during an interview on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” when asked about the possibility of an attempt to delay the elections if there is a resurgence of the coronavirus.

Pelosi said that she hoped that any attempt to move back the elections would be a bridge too far even for Republicans.

“[Trump] has done a lot to undermine who we are as America, but the fact is, we cannot allow him to do that to our democracy. That will not happen. And God willing, maybe some Republicans might even stand up for our country, our Constitution and our democracy, as well. I think they will,” Pelosi said.

Interestingly, no reporters asked her if she was nuts and delving into conspiracy theories, as they would had a Republican said it with a Democrat in office.

Trump’s campaign slammed Biden after the former vice president predicted during an online fundraiser on Thursday that Trump would try to push back the elections and that there would again be electoral interference from Russia.

“Mark my words: I think he is gonna try to kick back the election somehow, come up with some rationale why it can’t be held,” Biden said, adding that doing so is “the only way [Trump] thinks he can possibly win.”

Well, you have to have some way to create excitement among the hardcore moonbat base of the Democratic Party for Handsy Joe. Still, no reporter seems to be asking Joe what’s up with his conspiracy theory-mongering.

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh called Biden’s comments “the incoherent, conspiracy theory ramblings of a lost candidate who is out of touch with reality.”

“Perhaps he also missed the news that the infamous Steele Dossier, central to the Russian Collusion Hoax, was likely compiled with Russian disinformation. That’s the real Russian collusion,” he added.

I can understand why reporters don’t want to get close to Joe to ask questions, as he might massage their shoulders, sniff their hair, and give them a cuddle and a peck on the cheek.

Il Duce Whitmer Won’t Sign Any Bill Taking Away Her Power

The question is, will the people of Michigan remember all this stuff come election time? (via Twitchy)

This goes to

Michigan lawmakers move to limit Whitmer’s emergency authority, create coronavirus oversight committee

The Republican-led Michigan legislature approved measures to limit Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive authority to declare a state of emergency and create a legislative panel to investigate the state’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After roughly an hour of passionate debate, the Michigan Senate voted 22-15 along partisan lines to pass Senate Bills 857 and 858, which respectively would repeal the Emergency Powers of the Governor Act of 1945 and limit the number of days the governor can unilaterally declare a state of emergency under a separate law from 28 days to 14.

Most of the power vested in the governor of Michigan was authorized by the state legislature: very little comes from their Consitution. They can take it back. But, wait, it gets better

Whitmer’s office said she’d veto the bills ahead of Friday’s session, and reiterated that stance during a morning news briefing: “The powers of the executive office are incredibly important, especially in times of crisis where lives are on the line.”

Dictator in the making. But, wait, it gets even better

She said she found it “odd” the legislature was continuing to congregate and go against the spirit of the stay-at-home order, which she extended through May 15, albeit with several revisions on allowed activity.

She’s actually telling the legislative branch that they shouldn’t meet.

And she’s extended the stay at home order till May 15th.

Facing Our Feelings Is Totally Essential To Stop Hotcoldwetdry

My feelings are “meh. This is all stupid. Go away. Practice what you preach”. Of course, this is CNN, which has a giant carbon footprint from all their world wide operations

Why facing our feelings is essential for tackling our climate crisis

Thirty years ago, I sat in a darkened lecture hall listening to what was happening to our Earth because of the decisions people had made. Climate change, toxic contamination, species loss, forest fires, soil depletion: it was a litany of all the ways humans had gone very wrong. At least, that’s how it felt to me, at age 19. Human behavior was directly influencing the globe’s weather patterns. It was almost unthinkable.

Apparently, it was so unthinkable for those around me — that people were literally not thinking about it.

There’s a big difference between not thinking about it because they’re worried and not thinking about it because they don’t give a rat’s ass, which is the reality. ‘Climate change’ is important in theory, not reality.

Meanwhile, my world was turned upside down, forcing me to reassess almost everything — how I traveled, what I ate, wore, what I drank out of, slept in, even put on my face — surprisingly intimate things. It also made me think about who I was in the world, and who I wanted to be. I did not identify as a scientist, activist or “radical.” Yet, at that time, those seemed to be the only people who understood our lethal and dangerous trajectory.

You don’t “identify” as a scientist: you either are or aren’t. This isn’t like their idiotic gender crap.

I tried talking with other people about it. I wanted to understand what I was feeling, and why others seemed somehow immune. Was it grief? Was it a unique, new kind of anxiety? A crisis of “epistemic trust” — the helplessness Dr. Daniel Siegel calls when the world no longer seems trustworthy?

It was all of the above. Yet at that time, not many people wanted to talk about it. This is now changing. And that’s a good thing, because it’s the ticket to our collective survival.

We are seeing huge numbers of people starting to bravely name their feelings, openly: I am scared. I feel overwhelmed. I feel powerlessness. I feel angry. Such as Hugh, who struggles with anxiety and wrote into CNN before the climate town hall, “I’ve been losing sleep after reading a report that talks about how climate change could lead to the collapse of civilization by 2050.” A few years ago, this comment would have seemed extreme. This is no longer the case. It just hasn’t been acknowledged as openly — until now. And that’s a very good thing, especially in this uncertain, anxious and precarious time.

I have a suggestion

The screed keeps going and going. Have at it if you want to.

Cult Of Climastrology Says We Need To Get Rid Of The Military And Capitalism

See, without the military there would be no war, and without war there would be no ‘climate change’. Because there was never war prior to the invention of the fossil fueled engine. And, of course, they had to drag Bat Soup Virus into this

‘No Warming, No War’: Report Details How US Militarism and Climate Crisis Are Deeply Interwoven

A new report examining the federal budget illuminates the deep connections between the climate emergency and the U.S. military, arguing that the shift to a green economy requires a just transition away from both fossil fuels and endless war.

The report, entitled No Warming, No War: How Militarism Fuels the Climate Crisis—and Vice Versa (pdf), says that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic “has utterly changed life as we know it” and warns against working toward a return to an old normal which was “defined by unfettered capitalism that thrives on the devastation of our planet, the devaluation of human life, and the use of military force to perpetuate both.”

“On a local and global scale, humanity and community have been co-opted by profit and violence. This ‘normal’ has now brought us to the brink of an existential crisis as climate change continues nearly unabated,” co-authors Lorah Steichen and Lindsay Koshgarian write in the foreword. “In the face of both COVID-19 and the climate crisis, we urgently need to shift from a culture of war to a culture of care.”

Tell you what: you get every single nation to give up its military at the same time, and I’ll Believe. But, yeah, those super non-capitalist nations of the USSR, China, Cambodia, Nazi Germany, they were super peaceful, right? Mao, Stalin (and the others), Hitler, the Khmer Rouge, they were really nice, right?

The report was published Wednesday, the 50th annual Earth Day, by the National Priorities Project (NPP) at the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS). A 2014 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, NPP tracks military spending and promotes a federal budget “that represents Americans’ priorities, including funding for people’s issues such as inequality, unemployment, education, health, and the need to build a green economy.”

It’s all just Progressive (nice Fascism) gobbledygook, like we keep seeing, using ‘climate change’ as a basis to scare people into giving up their money and freedom, and for government to simply take Power.

As NPP’s experts explain, the massive U.S. military—with its over two million members and an annual budget exceeding $700 billion—is “among the biggest polluters” on the planet, producing about 59 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year, more than countries such as Sweden, Denmark, and Portugal, according to the Costs of War Project at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs.

Leftists have long had a hard-on to get rid of, or at least totally defang, the U.S. military, which has safeguarded world freedom since WWI, while typically ignoring militaries like Russia’s, China’s, Iran’s, and so forth, as well as the violence from the Islamist groups. The whining continues for a while, even delving into the Border Patrol using drones, until we get to

“To achieve climate justice, we must transform the extractive economy we have now that is harming people and ecosystems,” the report says. “Resisting militarization is core to building an economy that works for people and the planet. As such, we must pursue solutions to the climate crisis that challenge the violent and oppressive systems that have fueled war and warming for generations.”

They never quite want to say what will truly be the replacement for capitalism, or how it will work. Which is the norm.

Encinitas, Ca., Protesters Threatened With Legal Action For Daring To Protest

Let’s start here. Article I

SECTION 1. All people are by nature free and independent and have inalienable rights. Among these are enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and pursuing and obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy.

SEC. 2. (a) Every person may freely speak, write and publish his or her sentiments on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of this right. A law may not restrain or abridge liberty of speech or press.

SEC. 3. (a) The people have the right to instruct their representatives, petition government for redress of grievances, and assemble freely to consult for the common good.

The government of Encinitas and the sheriff of San Diego County need a refresher

San Diego protesters say county overreaching on coronavirus restrictions; sheriff threatens legal action

A coastal city in San Diego County is demanding that county officials return local control over its access to public spaces such as walking trails and beaches.

Encinitas, which is about 25 miles north of San Diego, made national headlines Sunday when a group of about 200 people gathered to protest the city’s closure of the Coastal Rail Trail and a portion of South Highway 101 to pedestrians amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city’s closure of those public spaces came less than a week after the county’s Health and Human Services Agency issued an order that prohibited the public from “swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, boating for recreational purposes and all other water recreational activities” at beaches.

City officials said its latest closures were done to comply with social distancing orders from the state of California and San Diego County. The restrictions allowed for residents to run or walk within their neighborhoods but “within the parameters of the current Orders.”

If you are doing any of these things within the parameters of social distancing, what’s the problem? Oh, right, power mad little dictator wannabees (who’ve forgotten there are these things called “elections”). So, the people protested, as allowed by the federal and state constitutions

Crista Anne Curtis, who organized Sunday’s protest, said the city’s new restrictions were frustrating because of the area’s lack of sidewalks and the trail being the only way to get around on foot.

“There were no new cases, Encinitas has only had 34 cases [of COVID-19],” she said. “It’s clear what we’ve been doing has been working, and so I didn’t understand why we needed to do even more.”

The mayor, or, is it, The Mayor(?), was not Amused

“It is quite selfish for people to be completely violating stay-at-home orders,” mayor Catherine Blakespear said. “People are sacrificing and really suffering. People are out of work, small businesses are closed… and health care workers are putting their own health at risk on the front lines.

“There is a way to exercise your First Amendment and freedom of assembly rights… while also maintaining distance from other people, wearing facial coverings and abiding by the social contract.”

Meanwhile, there’s yet another study saying that only people who are sick should wear face masks. Anyhow, first they said “make sure to social distance.” We said “can do.” Then they said “try and stay home.” Then they said “you vill stay at home, comrades, or ve vill make you.” As for the social contract, perhaps Blakespear should read the California Constitution.

Here’s where it gets funny

She also criticized the protesters for, at one point during the day, showing up in front of her home, calling it an “invasion of my own privacy.”

“It definitely frightened my children to have a hundred people taunting me to come out, trying to somehow engage me on a Sunday at my private home,” she said.

And invasion of her privacy, huh. How about a violation of people’s Rights, Catherine? And where it gets really disturbing

Meanwhile, the county sheriff’s office told Fox News its’ investigators have submitted a case to the District Attorney’s Office recommending that Curtis be charged with a misdemeanor and fined up to $1,000 for supposedly violating the state’s stay-at-home order.

Similarly, Naomi Israel, a 27-year-old woman who organized another protest rally Saturday in downtown San Diego opposing the stay-at-home order, is also facing possible arrest and a misdemeanor charge that could result in 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.

They should claim they are illegal aliens, and then the sheriff will back off. Yes, San Diego County is a sanctuary jurisdiction. But, hey, why not put these ladies in jail for following the Constitution, while releasing all sorts of criminals, including a killer?

More protests are planned, and you can bet lawsuits will emerge if the county dares to fine or prosecute. Heck, they should file a suit just on the threats by the sheriff alone

Curtis’ assessment is shared by Janice Bidwell, a practicing nurse and clinical faculty member at San Diego State University who participated in Sunday’s rally and supports “stay-at-home” protests in states where COVID-19 cases are low. Bidwell told Fox News that the number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care units in San Diego — compared with New York, for instance — do not warrant restrive stay-at-home orders.

“[San Diego County] hospitals are furloughing nurses. Nurses are taking pay cuts. We have empty beds,” she said. “The hospitals are suffering severe financial losses from canceling all the elective surgeries. And while we’ve been waiting around for almost two months now and nothing’s happened, and I think there’s a high degree of frustration among health care workers.”

People are good with common sense things, once Government goes all Mussolini, there’s a problem.

Bummer: Fall In Bat Soup Virus Emissions Won’t Halt Climate Doom

Here’s the thing: climate cultists are setting the stage so that when we don’t really see any difference in the global temperature from the drastic reduction in CO2 output they can say “but, this is going to get bad”. It will be interesting to see what happens in the urban areas due to changes in the urban heat island effect thanks to less smog. Anyhow, this is from the official propaganda arm of the United Nations

Fall in COVID-linked carbon emissions won’t halt climate change – UN weather agency chief

“This drop of emissions of six per cent, that’s unfortunately (only) short-term good news”, said Professor Petteri Taalas, World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Secretary-General, in reference to a 5.5 to 5.7 per cent fall in levels of carbon dioxide due to the pandemic, that have been flagged by leading climate experts, including the Center for International Climate Research.

Once the global economy begins to recover from the new coronavirus, WMO expects emissions to return to normal.

“There might even be a boost in emissions because some of the industries have been stopped”, the WMO head cautioned.

Latest data from WMO published to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, on 22 April, indicates that carbon dioxide (CO2) levels and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere rose to new records last year.

Levels of carbon dioxide were 18 per cent higher from 2015 to 2019 than the previous five years, according to WMO’s Global Climate 2015-2019 report.

If that is the case, and CO2, excuse me, carbon pollution, is the control knob, why wasn’t there a big spike in temperatures, rather than in the hundreds of a degree?

The gas “remains in the atmosphere and oceans for centuries. This means that the world is committed to continued climate change regardless of any temporary fall in emissions due to the Coronavirus epidemic”, the report states, with data indicating that CO2 concentrations are on track “to reach or even exceed 410 ppm by the end of 2019”.

The forecasted fall in carbon emissions is mirrored by decreases in levels of common air pollutants from car exhausts and fossil fuel energy, such as nitrous oxide (N2O) particles.

“Their lifetime is typically from days to weeks, so the impact is seen more rapidly”, Professor Taalas said. “But these changes in the carbon emissions, they haven’t had any impact on climate so far.”

See? Because of your past carbon badness, things won’t get better because it stays up there. But, doesn’t that mean that as some falls, temps should come down, according to official Climate Cult dogma?

In its latest report warning of the impacts of climate change, the UN agency confirmed that the last five years were the hottest on record.

This warming has been uneven, with Europe seeing the highest change in the last decade (of around +0.5C, or 32.9F) and South America experiencing the least change.

Hmm, might this have more to do with land use and the UHI, rather than anything global? Doesn’t matter, they have Excuses.

Irony: Guy Upset Over Florida Beaches Being Open Plans To Go To Beach Dressed As Grim Reaper

Yes, some beaches in Florida are reopening, as they are here in North Carolina. In both cases, it has been made quite clear that no sunbathing is allowed. People can exercise. See, they told us that we should social distance. We said “OK.” They said we could be out and about for exercise. We said “OK.” Then they said “NO, YOU SHOULDN’T BE OUT OF YOUR HOME. STAY HOME. NO WALKING ON BEACHES OR BEING IN THE WATER!” Seriously, if we are social distancing, what’s the problem?

Guy To Travel Around Florida Dressed As The Grim Reaper To The Beaches That Opened Prematurely

Imagine you’re at the beach enjoying the waves washing over your feet and the sun warming your skin. That’s when you notice a tall, black-robed figure with a scythe out of the corner of your eye. You take a better look and that’s when you realize it’s the Grim Reaper!

Florida lawyer Daniel Uhlfelder plans to travel around his state beaches from May 1 to warn people about the dangers of not social distancing—all dressed up as the Grim Reaper. Uhlfelder was quite obviously inspired to do this by New Zealand’s public service campaign where a person dresses up as the infamous Swim Reaper to promote water safety and tries to prevent deaths from drowning.

While Uhlfelder’s main message is to make sure that Floridians know how important it is to stay at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, he also plans to use his Reaper get-up to raise money for Democrats running for federal office.

Wait, what was that last part? So, this really isn’t about staying at home? Or is it saying that Democrats want to restrict the movement of citizens? Or is he just trying to draw attention to his law firm?

Some people are very upset that beaches are slowly re-opening. Here’s an idea: don’t go. Stay home. Stop telling people what to do.
