Having Solved All Other Problems, France Bans Plastic Cutlery And Crockery For ‘Climate Change’

France’s economy is in the doldrums. They constantly deal with violence, riots, arson and rape by the “immigrants” from Islamic nations.  But, those are tiny issues compared to

(The Telegraph) Plastic crockery and cutlery is to be banned in France unless it is made from biologically sourced materials.

The law comes into force in 2020. It is part of a French environmental initiative called the Energy Transition for Green Growth, part of a package aimed at tackling climate change.

Look, there’s definitely an issue with plastics not being recycled. And even just bagged and sent to the landfills. People just dump it. It ends up polluting and blighting the landscape and oceans. Of course, the Cult of Climastrology has taken over this real environmental concern, as they do everything else. Why? Because their fuitier than a bowl of grapes.

And Progressives love banning things they do not like. They really love it, whether it be objects, speech, or thoughts. They really want to ban things they do not agree with. Fortunately, they aren’t always successful. But, they will keep trying. Once they arrive at an idea to ban something, they will never let go. And they will often attempt to ban via government action. They seem to love big Fascistic government.

Next up, they’ll whine about the amount of water used to clean non-plastic crockery and cutlery. And we can all eat with our fingers. To save the planet from a tiny increase in global temperatures utterly consistent with a low range Holocene warm period.

More Bombs Found In New Jersey, One Explodes. FBI Names NY Suspect

Everyone should remain calm, though. Obama is on the case. He’s at fundraisers whining about misinformation, otherwise known as “people engaging in their 1st Amendment Rights”

(NJ.com) An improvised explosive device in a backpack detonated near the Elizabeth train station early Monday as authorities were using a bomb robot to examine the item, officials said.

The blast occurred around 12:40 a.m. near Morris Avenue and Julian Place. The explosion was not a controlled blast, but happened unintentionally as the robot was cutting the device, according to Mayor Christian Bollwage. No one was injured in the blast, Bollwage said.

Authorities found five devices inside a single backpack near the train station, including one that was detonated. After the explosion, press and bystanders were moved back because the four other explosive devices inside of the backpack were still believed to be live, Bollwage said.

Two men had found the backpack in the garbage, taking it as they thought it might have value. Then they saw wires and grew a bit concerned. It was just 300 feet from a busy pub near the train station. There’s speculation that Elizabeth was not the target, but that the person carrying the bombs dumped them off.

This follows on the heels of a bomb explosion in the Chelsea area of NY, Seaside Park, NJ, and a knife attack in Minnesota. A gay activist supposedly took responsibility for the Chelsea bombing, which is weird, being that it is a big gay area. ISIS also took responsibility. Five people have supposedly been detained over the bombing. Geraldo Rivera supposedly has an impeachable source that they are Aghans.

The FBI is reported to have gone heavily armed into an apartment in Elizabeth, NJ early this morning

Officials say they are concerned that there is an active terror cell

Let’s also not forget that the stabber in Minnesota was a Muslim of Somali origin, and was shouting Allahu Akbar. Of course, CNN and the Muslim community are more worried about any backlash than stopping any in their community who have become radicalized.

Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!

Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

Rich, Pampered Athletes In Philly Plan On Protesting National Anthem

Because what we need is an inter-mixing of hardcore politics while we attempt to escape while watching sports

(NBC Sports) The first Sunday of the regular season coincided with the 15th anniversary of 9/11. And while there were still some demonstrations from NFL players during the national anthem, at least one team refrained on that day — but won’t in Week Two.

“Everybody wants to be a part of it and I feel like it’s no different on our team,” Eagles safetyMalcolm Jenkins told Glen Macnow of WIP in Philadelphia on Friday, via CSNPhilly.com. “We got guys, especially myself, who feel very strongly about the topic. Last week, we talked about doing some stuff, but we wanted to make sure we didn’t do anything to take away from the folks, the families, that suffered from 9-11. We didn’t want to mess with that day, so we left last week alone. But moving forward, I’m sure there will be guys that will probably join in.”

Jenkins said he possibly will be one of the players who participate in the demonstration.

“For me, it has nothing to do with this country or the flag or the anthem in itself,” Jenkins said. “Really, it’s just to continue to push for the conversation about social injustice. And that’s a range of things from police brutality to wages and job opportunities to education. It’s just a lot of things systematically that have been set up in this country, since its inception that really put minorities, especially African-Americans, at a disadvantage, when you’re talking about quality of life and actually growing in this country.

“So we want to continue to keep that conversation going and push it to as many people as we can. Obviously, while also doing our part in bringing forth change. And I think, obviously, this has been a hot topic and the more players that join in, the further this conversation goes. And I think after the initial shock of what happened and once everybody started to listen to what [Colin Kaepernick’s] message was, it’s become a really good conversation that’s going on nationwide. I think every player has an opinion and definitely wants to share, use their stage to do better.”

Well, I suppose if you plan on doing it in a Democratic Party run city that has degraded the lives of blacks via Democratic Party policies, well, OK, then. As the first comment at the article reads “8 years of “Hope and Change” and here we are at this.”

Malcolm Jenkins signed a 4 year, $35,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including a $7,500,000 signing bonus, $21,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,750,000. In 2016, Jenkins will earn a base salary of $2,500,000 and a signing bonus of $7,500,000. Jenkins has a cap hit of $5,666,668 while his dead money value is $17,666,668.

He should engage in social justice and give the majority away to black families in poverty. “Put your money where your mouth or demonstration is.”

Yes, the players have a 1st Amendment right to protest peaceably. Other people are also eligible to use their 1st Amendment Rights to complain about the players and their so-called protests. Most of the early ratings are down from 2015. Could this have anything to do with people tuning out from all the politicization? Yes, sports can be used for politics, but, do it in the right way. Jackie Robinson just went out and played.

(Proof Positive) If I were a millionaire sports star, I could think of any number of ways I could “start a conversation” about whatever was on my mind. After game interviews, take out a full page ad in the New York Times, hire a skywriter, set my Ferrari on fire in my driveway and let the press (and my insurance company) interview me!

But to publicly disrespect the flag, IMHO, crosses that line. I do not need to watch a demonstration of  the ignorance and gullibility of spoiled millionaire jocks, who believe things that simply aren’t true about the state of law enforcement in the country that provided them wealth, fame and boundless opportunities.

If the NFL doesn’t agree with me, fine! That’s their right. But if I refuse to watch any of their teams, or patronize any of their sponsors, or promote them in any way, that’s my right, too, which I will exercise until such time as I am satisfied that the NFL is not providing a platform for a poisonous form of dissent.

How many will tune out? I’ll be watching the games. And laughing at the pampered athletes who think they are Doing Something. It’s easy for them. What’s hard is putting their own money and time on the line. Will they do that? Perhaps they should look around and realize that black on black violence is quite a bit bigger than cops shooting criminals who are black and engaged in criminality.

Cult Of Climastrology Wants A “Hauntingly Beautiful Hotcoldwetdry Memorial In D.C.

Instead of living in Reality Land, Warmists love to live in this world where “carbon pollution” from Other People is going to cause massive doom. Now, hey, I love a good apocalyptic novel, especially zombie related, but I understand these are works of fiction, no matter how much they create a way to say “this could happen.” Warmists truly believe in their Doomsaying

Does Washington, D.C., Need a Climate-Change Memorial?

One of the most iconic sights in Washington, D.C.—its Japanese cherry trees, exploding like frozen fireworks each spring—is also likely to be among its first casualties of climate change. As the seas rise, many of the waterfront trees will be subsumed by the muddy Potomac River, perhaps necessitating a laborious relocation to higher ground.

Or, we could just let them perish. That’s the core idea of a new proposal for a global-warming memorial on Hains Point, a riverside park area that’s already aregular victim of flooding. “Climate Chronograph,” which has won theMemorials for the Future Competition put on by the National Park Service, National Capital Planning Commission, and the Van Alen Institute, would install a sloped grove of cherry trees along the Potomac. As the river gets higher, the trees would drown row by row, creating a tangible timeline of global warming from sublime blossoms and rotten, leafless boughs.

The “hauntingly beautiful” comes from at least one of the titles used for the article, which I can still see in my Pocket save, and you can see in the header bar of your browser at the link. Let’s see what this looks like

And let’s see the sea level rise in D.C.

It’s slightly above the 20th Century average of 7 inches, and below what one would expect of a Holocene warm period. There’s no acceleration. Nothing unusual. It’ll take a long time before. You will need at least 300 years before any sea rise will affect the trees, as long as the rise continues. Which would be unusual during the Holocene. But, the Cult of Climastrology never stops.

Trump Trolls Anti-Gun Liberals, Suggests Hillary Should Disarm Her Protection

For all of Trump’s faults, least of which is that he is essentially a Blue Dog Democrat, he doesn’t shy away from being provocative. Sometimes this elicits a pure facepalm moment from Republicans. Others utterly tweek the noses of liberals/Democrats/progressives, putting them into apoplexy, and often highlights their hypocrisy and bias.

Right now, most of the media is losing their minds over the whole Obama birther thing, often conveniently forgetting that it was the Hillary 2008 campaign that started the whole thing. This is Big News for the liberal media, even as Obama has said to just move on (I’ve had CNN on since 645am, and half the coverage has been on birtherism). Can you blame them? They really do not want to cover Hillary’s poor health and negative campaign which is about aas exciting as watching grass grow.

Then we have this (which is the other half of CNN’s coverage this am)

(UK Guardian) Mere hours after he appeared to put one of the oldest criticisms of his presidential campaign to rest with the acknowledgment that President Barack Obama was born in the United States, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told supporters that his opponent’s Secret Service detail should disarm itself due to what he characterized as her opposition to the Second Amendment.

“Take their guns away,” Trump said of Hillary Clinton, his Democratic opponent. “Let’s see what happens to her.”

This has led to a media freakout, with them wondering what Trump “really” means. Is he saying someone should attack her?!!!!!!!!! Which, of course, leads to a discussion that she is super precious, and needs protection from people carrying guns, many of which are illegal for private ownership. Does she need armed protection? Of course. So does the POTUS. But, what the media miss is that Hillary would like to erode the 2nd Amendment Right of citizens to own firearms for protection.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Miami, Florida, Trump criticized Clinton’s stance on gun-control issues, characterizing her stance as wanting to “abolish” the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, which protects the right to keep and bear arms. (This claim has been debunked.)

If Clinton were truly as anti-gun as she claims to be, Trump told the audience, her Secret Service detail should disarm itself.

“I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons – they should disarm. I think they should disarm immediately, what do you think?” Trump asked the raucous crowd.

“Let’s see what happens to her.”

Does Hillary want to abolish the 2nd Amendment? Of course she would never say that she does. One thing that you cannot say about her is that she’s an idiot. She’ll keep unpopular ideas like that quiet. She is for numerous ways to make it harder and harder for private citizens to arm themselves for protection while surrounding herself with guns. She’s all for removing Constitutional protections by using no fly lists and such, which are damned impossible to get off of, to restrict gun ownership. She’ll allow lawsuits against gun manufacturers. Taxes on guns and ammunition, making it hard for people to afford a weapon to protect themselves and their families. She’s against concealed carry and open carry. For other people, of course.

The question not being asked by liberals in high apoplexy is “if Hillary is allowed guns for protection, why aren’t private citizens?” We cannot afford to have lots of bodyguards, and the government isn’t going to pay for it, like for Hillary. We’re on our own. Perhaps the media should be asking why it’s OK for her but not us.

Trump has trolled the media and Democrats perfectly, because the more they yammer on about this, the more citizens will ask the question on double standards for gun protection.

Washington Post: Say, Perhaps Candidates Health Records Should Remain Private

The Washington Post’s Ruth Marcus is at it again. Previously, she was Very Upset, even sickened, by Donald Trump’s (and really, lots and lots of people’s) concerns over Hillary’s seemingly poor health. It was even considered sexxxxxist. And now, after months and months of records of Hillary having massive coughing attacks, barely able to walk stairs, low energy, disappearing from the campaign trail to rest, emails about her sleeping all the time and barely being able to get up, and seeing her collapse on video (thanks to an intrepid private citizen with a smartphone video recorder), Marcus has a different idea

When it comes to health, treat candidates like presidents

American voters have received, we are told, all they are going to get from their presidential candidates in the way of medical information. In light of Hillary Clinton’s initially (and, if she had her way, permanently) undisclosed pneumonia, in light of Donald Trump’s unhealthy body mass index and buffoonish physician, in light of both candidates’ relatively advanced ages, this move-right-along admonition is unsettling and unsatisfying.

Experts have raised reasonable questions about Clinton’s medical care and history, including her record of blood clots and the use of the blood thinner Coumadin to treat them. And you don’t have to be an expert to know that there are reasonable questions about Trump’s health, given the willingness of his doctor to issue the assurance that “unequivocally” Trump “will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” No one should trust a doctor like that.

One proposed solution would be for the candidates to submit to the “full McCain,” a reference to the Arizona Republican senator’s decision to allow reporters to review his full medical records, albeit for a single, three-hour window.

Which was not required of Obama, let’s not forget. But was also demanded of Sarah Palin in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012. Of course, that’s not what Marcus wants now that Hillary is running

This approach is tempting. After all, running for president — and being president — essentially means giving up any claim to privacy. The unique power of the office, combined with the risk of a president suffering from undisclosed health issues and the history of presidents’ hiding such problems, argues for tipping the scales in favor of more disclosure, not less.

And yet, the implications of making such disclosure a matter of routine expectation in the end tilt against such a demand. Medical records are more intimate and more susceptible to ignorant misinterpretation than tax returns. The totality of a candidate’s medical history is not as important as his or her current health, including whether past issues raise the prospect of future problems.

How many articles did the Washington Post spend on Mitt Romney hazing a kid back in the 1960’s and putting his dog on the roof of the car in a dog carrier? But, OK, fine, let’s spend time on current medical  history. How far back shall we go? A couple months? A year? A few years?

Consider some scenarios. A future female presidential candidate has had an abortion. The decision to terminate her pregnancy has no bearing on her health but could be politically explosive and is, in any event, a decision that she should be able to choose to keep private.

Or she has a history of miscarriages, about which she has never spoken publicly. Or a male candidate has a low sperm count or other problem that made it difficult for him to father a child and led the couple to use artificial insemination, something they have not previously revealed. Or he has erectile dysfunction. Are we really comfortable forcing such facts into public view?

It’s a nice deflection, but none of that has any bearing on the actual health of a candidate. What if a candidate has a history of falls, of breaking bones, of getting concussions so bad they need special glasses so they aren’t seeing double? How about if they are collapsing on video, and constantly having hacking coughing attacks? Is that relevant?

But, let’s give Ruth some credit: she has a good idea

There may be an even easier way. Presidents routinely release the results of the physicals conducted by the White House physician, who is generally an active-duty military officer.

The candidates could have a similar checkup, consistent with what they would receive as president. A military physician would be considered an independent and trustworthy source, someone who could use his or her judgment to determine what in a candidate’s medical history is relevant in the present.

Now, of course, she isn’t saying this should be done, she’s just throwing the idea out there. But, this is great. Let’s have this done.
