‘Climate Change’ (scam) Doom Bring Extreme Anxiety And Climainsanity

This is what all the doomsaying from the Cult of Climastrology has caused

The Threat Of Climate Change Brings Both Anxiety & Apathy

The young man believed he only had five years to live. “Not because he was sick,” said Kate Schapira, “not because anything was wrong with him, but because he believed that life on Earth would be impossible for humans.”

The sign on Schapira’s booth read: CLIMATE ANXIETY COUNSELING 5¢ THE DOCTOR IS IN. Time to earn her pennies.

On that muggy June day, she had set up shop in Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. Schapira is not a trained therapist — a fact she makes clear to visitors — but she is happy to chat with anyone suffering from anxiety about climate change. “A lot of what I do is listen and ask questions,” she said.

Over the coming decades, rising temperatures will fuel natural disasters that are more deadly than any seen in human history, destabilizing nations and sending millions to their death. Experts say that we need to prepare for a hotter, less hospitable world by building sea walls, erecting desalination plants and engineering crops that can withstand punishing heat and drought, but few have considered the defenses we need to erect in our minds. Some, like Shapira, have called for more talking, more counseling to process our grief. But will that be enough? Climate change will do untold violence to life on this planet, and we have remarkably few tools to deal with its emotional cost.

So, people are told that they are utterly doomed (unless we impose a tax and let government control their lives), and then need counseling (really that guy needs to see an actual licensed professional mental health worker who has a PhD) because they have been indoctrinated into coming doom from an issue that is mostly made up.

The tall, sharply dressed man said humans were a cancer on the Earth. He said that he resented his parents for raising him to be “super hedonistic, just monstrously gaining things.” He said he had grown nihilistic, that he wanted to take up chain smoking and die a slow death. When Schapira asked if he was angry at his family, the young man replied, “I love my family. It’s so hard to know that you only have five years left to love people.”

The man was undoubtedly troubled, his vision of the future decidedly more apocalyptic than the one offered by science. But, his anxieties were real and, perhaps, understandable given the dire predictions of climatologists. While none believes human civilization will crumble in the next five years, the forecasts get hazier 30, 40 or 50 years down the road.

See? He’s supposed to be freaking out about Doooooom! This is the type of article that makes you understand just how dangerous this whole fantasy about anthropogenic climate change causing Everything Bad actually is. And it continues on and on, even bringing up Winston Churchill and his speeches regarding the danger from Nazi Germany

Climate change is a problem with the scope and urgency of World War II, and while it will unfold more slowly and less predictably than the war, it demands a response on the same scale. Like the war, rising temperatures threaten violence, depravation and the deaths of millions. Writing in The New Republic, author and activist Bill McKibben, argued, “By most of the ways we measure wars, climate change is the real deal: Carbon and methane are seizing physical territory, sowing havoc and panic, racking up casualties, and even destabilizing governments.” And, like the war, climate change demands the massive and immediate mobilization of American industry.

Good grief.

And so, faced with overwhelming odds, we might do as Churchill would. Acknowledge the difficult road ahead. Feel our dread and despair. And then commit to do better. Understand that anxiety is not action. Worry is not resolve. In times of crisis, people want to be soldiers, not victims. They want to feel community, solidarity and empowerment. This, perhaps, is what Schapira sought in setting up her humble wooden booth. Filled with dread, she took up arms against that which she feared most. “I’m asking people about their anxieties that have to do with climate change,” she tells visitors.

I would recommend that all Warmists give up their use of fossil fuels and make their lives carbon neutral. That should make them feel better, just like living in the 900’s.

Gun Grabbers Look To Shut Down Major Chicago Road Saturday Morning

They want more gun control, because Chicago doesn’t have enough regulations on law abiding citizens owning guns

(Fox32) Father Michael Pfleger is set to lead anti-violence protesters on a march that will shut down a mile-long stretch of the Dan Ryan Saturday morning.

The march is scheduled start at 10 am at 79th Street and go north on the inbound lanes to 67th Street. But state police say they plan to arrest protesters if they step onto the expressway.

“Our youth are very determined. It is important to me that this is a non-violent demonstration,” Father Pfleger said.

Father Pfleger says it’ll be the youth leading the way onto the Dan Ryan expressway Saturday, including students like Rieonna Holman.

This is a group linked to the astroturfed March For Our Lives, backed by big money groups like Bloomberg’s Everytown and Mom’s Demand. Despite all the massive gun control for Chicago, 7 were wounded on July 4th. Two were killed, two were wounded in shootings on Friday. Controlling guns stops nothing. This is people violence.

Unsurprisingly, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who’s presided over a big jump in violent crime in Chicago, says he’s super supportive of this.

Meanwhile, few papers are covering this (and the Washington Post put in deep in the paper)

Conservative students speak out on gun rights, plan marches in 10 cities Saturday

As a pro-gun, conservative student, Anthony Bartosiewicz believes his opinion has been drowned out. The 16-year-old from Wheaton, Ill., said classmates who learn that he is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment have called him a “school shooter” or have pushed him into arguments about guns.

The highly publicized wave of student-led gun-control activism after the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school in February has left some conservative students feeling as though their views are not being taken into consideration in the debate about how to stop school shootings. As the March for Our Lives movement has been trying to push gun-control legislation across the country, a group of students who want to protect Second Amendment rights is sponsoring rallies nationwide on Saturday.

“The problem that I saw was I didn’t necessarily have a voice,” Bartosiewicz said. “It’s gotten to the point where another reason that I feel like we’ve been drowned out of the conversation is because people who are pro-gun aren’t confident enough to speak their mind.”

A lot of them probably do not want to speak out as they’re worried about literally being assaulted by Liberals.

Organizers say they feel as though their right to bear arms is in danger and that the wave of gun-control activism could lead to certain types of guns being banned. The students are calling for the safe, responsible use of guns. They would like to see increased security in schools, including armed guards. Some would like teachers to be armed.

The group spearheading the rallies — March for Our Rights — has planned marches in Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington on Saturday, with sister events in seven other cities. The rallies are expected to be modest, but organizers hope to lay a foundation for growth in coming years. Speakers include conservative radio host and former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh at the Chicago rally and NRATV host Cam Edwards at the Washington march.

Good for you, youngsters. Don’t take the bait when Leftist agitators attempt to goad you into fights.

Oregon Initiative Looks To Overturn Illegal Alien Sanctuary State Status

Of course, this will end up being deemed mean, bigoted, raaaaacist, xenophobic, etc and so on

(KGW8) Petitioners for an initiative that would undo Oregon’s sanctuary state status for undocumented immigrants submitted 105,000 signatures to the Secretary of State’s office Thursday afternoon.

The Secretary of State must certify that 88,184 of those signatures are valid for Initiative Petition 22 to appear before voters in November. Signatures can be submitted until 5 p.m. Friday.

“This afternoon, our committee took a huge step toward repealing Oregon’s sanctuary statute and thereby freeing our police and sheriffs to cooperate more easily with federal immigration authorities enforcing U.S. immigration law,” said Cynthia Kendoll, president of Oregonians for Immigration Reform.

It could be several weeks before it’s known if IP 22 has enough valid signatures to qualify. The initiative was filed in April 2017 and signature gathering began in October.

The law the initiative aims to remove bars Oregon law enforcement agencies from arresting individuals whose only crime is violating federal immigration law.

Does it have a chance in what is considered a very Democratic Party state?

OFIR (Oregonians For Immigration Reform, which is backing this initiative) was previously successful in helping orchestrate the defeat of Measure 88, a referendum that would have allowed undocumented immigrants to secure driving rights. The state Legislature had passed the law, but Oregon voters rejected it by a margin of 2 to 1.

So, yes, it has a chance. And, of course, the article has to point out that the Southern Poverty Law Center nutters consider OFIR to be an anti-immigrant hate group. Anyhow, good luck, Oregonians.

We Might Have To Ditch Our AC’s Even Though ‘Climate Change’ (scam) Is Making It Hotter

All I have to say to Kelly Kasulis is “You first, chump, you first”

Climate change is making our planet hotter — but we might have to ditch the AC

Americans love air conditioning — and to a serious fault. At least three quarters of all homes in the U.S. have an air conditioner, according to the Department of Energy, and Americans consumes more energy for cooling alone than what the entire continent of Africa uses for all purposes combined.

That’s not without serious consequence. The burden of a high utilities bill aside, fossil fuel is ultimately being burned and converted into the electricity that’s chilling our homes this summer. As a result, an estimated 117 million extra metric tons of carbon dioxide is being pumped into the air solely because of U.S. air conditioning.

Now, a study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a disturbing new revelation: In a simulation of a three-month summer period, air pollution directly related to fossil fuel burning that powers air conditioning accounts for about 1,000 deaths. Even worse, that figure only covers the Eastern United States. And as climate change turns increasingly turns up the heat, the problem could get worse as more Americans compensate by further refrigerating themselves indoors. (snip)

Nevertheless, this issue is global. An estimated 35% of all air conditioners in the world are in China, and 10% of the planet’s energy consumption comes from these machines. Meanwhile, some climate models predict that the global temperature could increase by as much as 8.6 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100. If that’s the case, it’s hard to imagine that those used to the luxury of air conditioning will simply forego their comfort. Energy-efficient air conditioners would help with damage control, but researchers ultimately believe our source of energy fundamentally needs to change.

In other words, this little Cultist is saying we should be forced to give up our air conditioning. Or, well, really, she’d probably be OK with keeping her own and forcing those black, brown, and yellow people in Africa and Asia not be allowed to get theirs.

TDS: Woman Blames Inability To Open Jars On Donald Trump

No, really

Good grief

It was November 2016 and the only person I knew who believed Trump would win the US election was the owner of my gym. This was clearly a ridiculous prediction so, seeing the chance for some easy money, I offered to bet him $100 that Hillary would win.

But the gym owner, clearly not wanting to do his dough, pointed at this horrible thing in the corner with the name “sled” and said: “If Trump wins you have to pull 70kg on it.” (snip)

After Trump claimed victory, I went up to the gym in a foul mood. “Just fucking load up the fucking sled, all right, and let’s get it over with,” I said without much grace as I strapped a belt around my waist.

I pulled the sled like a human oxen while being filmed and the gym staff cheered. I did it. But the Trump victory soured my successful show of strength.

Yeah, I could pull a pretend sled. But how was that going to help me when the world had been destroyed by nuclear weapons or climate change?

So far, it hasn’t, but, don’t let your derangement go, honey. So, she went to a restaurant and had a bad meal

I never went back. But I also didn’t return to the gym. I associated it now with Donald Trump, the bad meal and pulling the sled.

It was 9 November 2016 and my thinking about fitness changed almost overnight. In tune with the times, it became more Trump, less Obama.

In the spirit of the Donald, I drank more bottles of Diet Coke and ate more McDonald’s. I dropped the gym – embracing Trump’s belief that we are given a certain amount of energy and if we use it then we are depleting a finite resource.

According to the book Trump Revealed: “Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted. So he didn’t work out. When he learned that John O’Donnell, one of his top casino executives, was training for an Ironman triathlon, he admonished him, ‘You are going to die young because of this.’”

I didn’t want to die young, so I didn’t go to the gym.

This keeps going on and on and on.

I walked. I this. I that. Months passed. Then a year. Trump was going to be in power for another 1,000 years. Or at least that’s what it felt like. Could I really avoid the gym for the entirety of his presidency?

I missed being strong enough to open jars and carry groceries. So, last week, I returned to the gym, slinking back in as if no time had passed. I hoped that by wearing a puffy jacket and MC Hammer pants I could hide my lack of definition – that I could pretend I had maintained my fitness on my own. At home, running to the building next door. On the couch. While tweeting.

These people. Seriously.  Just insane.

Global Temperature Rise Could Be Double Predicted By Crystal Balls Or Something

Time for some Category 5 scaremongering

Global temperature rises could be double those predicted by climate modelling
Researchers say sea levels could also rise by six metres or more even if 2 degree target of Paris accord met

Temperature rises as a result of global warming could eventually be double what has been projected by climate models, according to an international team of researchers from 17 countries.

Sea levels could also rise by six metres or more even if the world does meet the 2 degree target of the Paris accord.

The findings, published last week in Nature Geoscience, were based on observations of evidence from three warm periods in the past 3.5m years in which global temperatures were 0.5-2 degrees above the pre-industrial temperatures of the 19th century.

Computer models and reconstructions are not observations.

The scientists used a range of measurements to piece together the impacts of past climatic changes to examine how a warmer earth would appear once the climate has stabilised.

They found sustained warming of one to two degrees had been accompanied by substantial reductions of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets and sea level rises of at least six metres – several metres higher than what current climate models predict could occur by 2100.

“During that time, the temperatures were much warmer than what our models are predicting and the sea levels were much higher,” said Katrin Meissner from the University of New South Wales’s Climate Change Research Centre and one of the study’s lead authors.

So, wait, it was supposedly much warmer? What caused that warming, and why are those warm periods different from now?

Meissner said potential changes even at two degrees of warming were underestimated in climate models that focused on the near term.

“Climate models appear to be trustworthy for small changes, such as for low-emission scenarios over short periods, say over the next few decades out to 2100,” she said. “But as the change gets larger or more persistent … it appears they underestimate climate change.”

This can all be fixed with a tax and ceding your freedom to government, you know

“Observations of past warming periods suggest that a number of amplifying mechanisms, which are poorly represented in climate models, increase long-term warming beyond climate model projections,” Prof Hubertus Fischer of the University of Bern, one of the study’s lead authors.

I’d like to see those direct temperature measurements gathered during those times…..oh, right, reconstructions.

Nutty Statue Of Liberty Climber Pleads Not Guilty While Admitting She Climbed Statue Of Liberty

She came to this country legally, doing it the proper way, and became a naturalized citizen, yet seems to be supporting people who would jump the line

Statue of Liberty climber cheered as she pleads not guilty

An unrepentant protester who climbed the base of the Statue of Liberty on a busy Fourth of July in what prosecutors called a “dangerous stunt” pleaded not guilty Thursday to misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Activists packed into a Manhattan courtroom cheered when a federal magistrate judge released Therese Okoumou without bail after she had spent the night behind bars. Okoumou responded by raising her fist and blowing kisses to her supporters.

Outside court, the naturalized U.S. citizen from Congo told reporters that she climbed the landmark as a spur-of-the moment protest over the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policies that resulted in the separation of immigrant children from parents accused of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

“When they go low, we go high and I went as high as I could,” Okoumou said, paraphrasing former First Lady Michelle Obama. “No children belong in a cage,” she added.

Okoumou, who goes by her middle name, Patricia, sported a T-shirt reading “White Supremacy is Terrorism” that she had worn inside-out in court.

So, wait, she pled not guilty, and then held a press conference explaining that she did, in fact, climb the Statue of Liberty (ruining the day for a lot of people)?

Court papers also charged Okoumou with resisting arrest by refusing to leave her perch by the bottom of the statue’s robes, about 100 feet (30 meters) above ground. Police were forced to scale the statue to pull her down.

If convicted, Okoumou, would face up to six months behind bars on each count.

She’s lucky she’s a naturalized citizen, otherwise she’d be deported.

The park service was reviewing security videotape to try to determine how the woman was able to make the climb, Willis said.

It should be a rather short trial. The prosecution will only need to show two pieces of video: one of her climbing and on the SOL, along with her resisting arrest, and the second will be her own words after her initial court date admitting to climbing the SOL. What, exactly, will her lawyer say?
