Democrats Get Naked To Get People Out To Vote

Hope you haven’t eaten

Yikers

(Breitbart) Several Democrat women stripped to their skivvies for a photo shoot that is part of a campaign to urge people to vote against Republicans this election season.

Ten women decided to pose nude with paper ballots covering their private areas in a Vermont studio on October 28 for a photo shoot called “Grab Them by the Ballot,” in the hopes they could convince people to cast their ballots for Democrats instead of Republicans this November.

Dawn Robertson, 48, a Harvard Law School graduate and founder of a recruitment company, told the Daily Mail she organized the photo shoot because of the rise of the #MeToo movement and hoped to push back on what she says is the Republican Party’s attack on women and transgender rights.

“What the Republicans are doing to transgender rights, the way they are attacking women’s reproductive rights and the collective trauma means that women are really coming to the forefront now,” she said.

This is what you get in Liberal World. Of course, in reality, this kind of weapons grade stupidity (and lots of Twinkies, apparently) does nothing to get people to vote, it’s just a “look at me” stunt.

But the campaign went viral in an unexpected way when several women flooded the Grab Them by the Ballot Facebook page with negative reviews on Thursday, with many calling Robertson’s campaign “cringeworthy.”

“This is so cringeworthy. I’m disappointed and disgusted by these women who are not only rude and mean if you don’t conform to their beliefs but also get mad at you just by asking questions. This campaign is a joke,” one woman wrote, giving a one-star review to the page.

“If I could give zero stars I would. Honestly, being a bully and looking down on others just because they don’t share the same political views as you, is what is ruining this country,” a third woman remarked, adding that the “morally disgusting and hypocritical” campaign does not “match the actual definition of feminism.”

Nothing says “respect me as a woman for my mind and abilities” like taking your clothes off and trying to flaunt your body.

This might actually suppress the poles wp-monalisa icon

Central American Caravan Members Sue Over Violations Of Their Constitutional Rigths

You can’t even call them illegal aliens or even immigrants at this point, since they haven’t made it the the U.S. border. Yet, they’re making a wackadoodle claim, which you can bet Democrats and #NeverTrumpers are like “yeah, exactly, sue!”

Migrants traveling to US sue Trump, government; claim violation of constitutional rights

A dozen migrants traveling by foot from Honduras to the U.S. to seek asylum filed a class-action lawsuit Thursday against President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and others, claiming a violation of their due process under the Fifth Amendment.

The Fifth Amendment states that, “no person… shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

A recent PBS report cited former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who ruled in 1993 case that “it is well established that the Fifth Amendment entitles aliens to due process of law in a deportation proceeding.”

Twelve Honduran nationals, including six children, are listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit. The suit, which was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., said it is widely known that Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are “undergoing a well-documented human rights crisis.”

The lawsuit also claims that the plaintiffs’ right to the Administrative Procedures Act and the Declaratory Judgement Act were being infringed upon.

The lawsuit points to Trump’s claim that he will prevent the caravan from entering the U.S. It claims that the president cannot stop asylum-seekers by employing the military — when they have a fair claim. The suit criticized the president’s attempt at stoking “fear and hysteria,” by claiming that criminals and gang members have joined the caravan.

They also have an issue with Trump’s claim that he will build tent cities to house them, which tells you right there that they plan on arriving at the U.S. border, getting caught, claiming asylum, then disappearing after being released.

According to law, they have to actually be at the border before they can be denied asylum (which would also include showing up at a U.S. embassy. They aren’t at either. Further, the Constitution makes it clear that the U.S. government is tasked with stopping all foreign invasion. This is an invasion.

It is interesting, though, that these members of the caravan mob chose the 5th Amendment: how many of them do not want to say that they are criminals, as well as having already be deported at least once? And it is about criminal proceedings. An asylum claim is not a criminal matter. Are they claiming they are all criminals? Further, this is a forward looking suit, one based on nothing actually haven happened, because they aren’t here yet. They have no legal right to our country, and, get this, it costs lots of money to file this type of suit. Where’s it coming from when we’re told these are just poor people? And by refusing Mexico’s claim of asylum, they really have blown their shot.

Wisconsin Teens Are Totally Taking Action On ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

Yes, they are. And by action, they mean to force their Beliefs on you, because that’s what their teachers are indoctrinating their mushy little heads with

Wisconsin Teens Take Action On Climate Change As Midterm Elections Approach

Issues like taxes and education have been dominating political ads and campaigns. But climate change is on many people’s minds, too, especially with a recent report that says climate change will soon have dire consequences if humans fail to cut back on greenhouse gas emissions. And a dozen teens in the Milwaukee area are stepping up to push for climate change action.

They’re part of a fellowship program created by the Alliance for Climate Education (ACE), which is designed to equip young people to become climate leaders.

Its curriculum teaches teens about climate science and how to advocate for climate policy and environmental protections to combat it. The students also learn how to communicate effectively about the polarizing issue.

Seriously, you didn’t think they would make changes in their own lives, did you? Give up their smartphones and tablets and smartwatches, which use vast amounts of energy and precious metals to mine, produce, ship, and use? Or mom driving them in her fossil fueled vehicle to school and play dates, because it’s hard to ride a bicycle when you have no muscle tone from spending all your time looking down at your phone, right? Or demanding that they can only use renewable energy, which would work spectacularly during the Wisconsin winter months, right? And wouldn’t want to give up their mass produced hoodies and jeans and yoga pants, shipped from far away in fossil fueled vehicles. Or any of the other trappings of modern life. That would be inconvenient.

But, they are happy to learn buzz phrases, talking points, and other things to screech out during protests and such, all to force their beliefs on Other People.

The group meets at Escuela Verde, a charter high school that makes its home in a repurposed factory above Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley. Most of the kids didn’t know one another. They come from different sides of town, attend different schools. But they’re thrown together because of a shared concern: climate change.

I’m sure they all walk, right?

Participants commit to meet every Thursday from 5-7 p.m. for six months. Hart, a senior at Arrowhead High School, travels the furthest but says it’s worth the 30-minute drive.

Guess not. Think they could have built that factory without fossil fuels? How about their schools? The home they live in with mom and dad?

You might be saying “hey, they’re just kids, ease off.” Once you decide to advocate for raising taxes on Other People, limiting their freedom, well, you just entered into Adult Land, and you get what you deserve.

Say, What Would Happen If Trump Uses An Executive Order To End Birthright Citizenship For Illegals?

From what I’ve been reading and hearing, it appears as if any Executive Order on the subject will revolve around “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” from the 14th Amendment. Would it be legal? Constitutional? We’ll have to see how it is written, if it is at all. But, hey, what about those poor kids of illegal aliens?

What Trump’s proposed birthright citizenship order could do to the children of immigrants

President Trump wants to stop the U.S. from automatically granting citizenship to undocumented immigrants’ babies born in the U.S., a policy that — if approved — could hinder those children’s future economic success, critics say.

The president wants to sign an executive order to end birthright citizenship, a rule under the 14th Amendment that guarantees citizenship to children born in the U.S. regardless of their parents’ status, he told Axios. He claimed the U.S. was the only country in the world where immigrants’ babies get all the benefits of citizenship, though that is incorrect — more than 30 countries have birthright citizenship, including Mexico, Canada and Brazil.

Trump said on Twitter TWTR, -1.35%   that birthright citizenship costs the country billions of dollars and is unfair to its residents. Lindsey Graham, a Republican Senator from South Carolina, said birthright citizenship was a “magnet for illegal immigration in modern times.” (snip)

The American Civil Liberties Union has called Trump’s proposal “blatantly unconstitutional.” Executive orders don’t need Congressional approval, but repealing the 14th Amendment would, said Rose Cuison Villazor, director of the Center for Immigration Law, Policy and Justice at Rutgers Law School. There are many unanswered questions about the proposed policy, such as whether it would apply only to children going forward or those who were born to undocumented immigrants in the past, and whether it would apply to children born to one unauthorized immigrant parent or both, she said.

The same people said that Obama’s DACA order was just fine. Regardless, you look at the attempt at misdirection by Marketwatch and writer Allesandra Malito. The picture above is from the article, and shows legal immigrants, most likely during a citizenship ceremony. Trump’s order would not cover them in the least.

If reversing birthright citizenship were to succeed, it would essentially create a second class of Americans — those who were born in the country but do not have the same benefits as citizens, Villazor said. If children were denied citizenship because of both parents’ legal status, there would be another 16 million undocumented people in the U.S. by 2050, according to a 2010 Migration Policy Institute report. If the repealed amendment denied children citizenship because either parent was a noncitizen, however, 24 million people would be unauthorized by 2050 — 2.5 times the amount if birthright citizenship were retained.

If the children were not granted automatic citizenship, then illegal immigration would drop. How much? Good question. The idea is to make it so illegal had less incentive to come illegally.

Interestingly, no one is complaining that there are zero European Union nations that allow birthright citizenship. No complaints about second class citizenship.

The Dominican Republic recently re-interpreted its birthright citizenship policy and retroactively denationalized thousands of Dominicans of Haitian descent, thus limiting their right to work, attend school or obtain birth certificates and passports, said Susan Akram, a clinical professor and director of the International Human Rights Clinic at Boston University School of Law. If the U.S. were to follow this path, the results would be similar, she argued.

“It would deprive all children born in the U.S. to immigrants living without authorization to a plethora of basic rights,” she said. For example, children may have trouble finding work when they’re older without access to identification papers, including driver’s licenses and state ID cards, she said. “The U.S. will be creating a population of stateless persons whom it cannot deport anywhere, but who have neither the right to work nor obtain basic benefits for survival,” she said.

No, the illegal alien parents will be creating this. So, they should stay home. Or apply for citizenship like so many other people do.

Bummer: If We Break 1.5C Hundreds Of Millions Will Die And Earth Will Be Uninhabitable

I’ve often wondered why other Warmists, who say they are just Concerned and want to Do Something, almost never ever stand up and say “dude! You are not helping with this unhinged, over the top doomsaying” (via Watts Up With That?)

Gloves off over climate policy: ACF chief

Kelly O’Shanassy has run out of time to be polite over climate policy.

The Australian Conservation Foundation CEO says recent warnings from scientists and two decades of climate inaction mean the gloves are off.

“If we continue to burn coal and gas for decades to come, we will kill the 1.5 degree target, we will not have a habitable planet and hundreds of millions of people will die,” she told the National Press Club in Canberra on Tuesday.

“When people are defending burning coal and gas, then that’s what they’re really talking about – those hundreds of millions of people whose lives will be at risk.”

Woof! Andrew Bolt, another Aussie, notes that not one person said “hey, hold on”

Pardon?

“Hundreds of millions of people will die”? We will “not have a habitable planet”?

But get this: not a single journalist in the room said: “Are you nuts?” Not one asked: “What’s your evidence?”

To me, it’s mad, bad and dangerous that a room of journalists can hear a shiny-eyed speaker proclaim the end of the world — at least for humans — yet react without the slightest scepticism.

Evidence is not necessary, especially when most of the reporters probably agree. It’s pure Groupthink. And O’Shanassy also said

“My warning to those in the house up the hill is that if you ignore climate change you do so at your political peril,” she said.

Political threat or something more severe? Warmists should remember the lesson of the 2012 Queensland elections, where the ruling party which passed lots of Warmist policies into law lost so badly at the ballot box that they didn’t have enough members to be considered a recognized political party.

Eric Worrall at WUWT notes

If the world breaches the 1.5C limit, nobody will die because of the breach. All that will happen is on average Summer might last a few days longer every year, or winters may be slightly milder. Given that cold weather is a far greater killer than warm weather, breaching the 1.5C limit would likely save lives.

But, Warmists are like Flat Earthers: they want everything to always stay the same. Which is not the way the Earth works.

Trump Says Calling Press Enemy Of The People Is Only Way Of Fighting Back

When 90% of the media votes Democrat, and have long abandoned any sort of journalistic integrity, what are you supposed to do?

(Mediaite) In a newly-released portion of Axios’ interview with Donald Trump, the president once again defended his anti-media rhetoric while brushing off the idea that someone will eventually get hurt because of it.

After asking Trump about his idea to roll back birthright citizenship, Jim VandeHei used multiple points of the interview to question Trump over the implications of calling the press the “enemy of the people.” VandeHei noted that Trump has a major platform between his rallies and his status as president, so he said “there’s got to be a part of you that’s like: ‘Dammit, I’m scared that someone is gonna take it too far.’”

“I think I’m doing a service [by attacking the press] when people write stories about me that are so wrong,” Trump responded. “I know what I do good and what I do bad. I really get it, OK? I really get it better than anybody in the whole world.”

Trump continues to bash the media and various critics who were targeted by the recent threats, and judging by his remarks to Axios, he feels no responsibility for how supporters of his may react to his riling them up against the press.

“It’s my only form of fighting back,” Trump said. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t do that.”

What about the responsibility for the Credentialed Media riling up Democratic Party voters with their anti-Trump and anti-Republican language? For nasty language towards white people (imagine had a white person said this about blacks), especially white men. Nasty towards those who work for Trump, and elected Republicans. And the language from elected Democrats and those who want to be elected, along with all their pundits.

It might be a bit strong to say that the press is our enemy, but, are they not? They are against everything we’re against, and they aren’t shy in saying it. Pieces in the straight news section are horribly biased, and often become opinion pieces. And this has been going on for awhile, but is even worse now than say during the Bush 43 years. They make no attempt to hide it.

If the press doesn’t like it, well, then perhaps they should do some introspection and understand that they are simply all bloggers, activists and drama queens (Jim Acosta, April Ryan) masquerading as professional reporters. At least those at the UK Guardian are honest about their extreme bias. Outlets like CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, NBC, CBS, etc pretend, and get all sorts of butthurt when you say they’re biased and unprofessional.

And, as for the #NeverTrumpers, like unhinged Max Boot, they’ve abandoned every semblance of Conservatism/Libertarianism/Basic Republicanism due to their Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump is doing what we begged Republicans to do: fight back. Defend yourself. Defend your policies. Do it in a sustained manner. Attack those who are attacking you. Hit them back twice as hard. I tell you, it got to a point where I was tired of defending the Bush 43 admin when they wouldn’t defend themselves. If you don’t defend yourself and your policies, why should anyone believe in you?

Politics is a dirty, nasty business covered with a veneer of civility. Trump gets that. Democrats get that. Republicans are finally starting to get it.

Wage Growth Is Going Up Fastest In A Decade

I wonder how Democrats will give the credit to Obama. Hey, maybe they’ll say that the Stimulus is finally kicking in

Let’s go to that Washington Post article, which surely gave lots of liberals at the post a case of the sad’s because Trump

U.S. workers are seeing the largest wage increase in a decade, the Labor Department reported Wednesday, as companies compete harder for employees than they did in recent years.

Wages rose 2.9 percent raise from September 2017 to September 2018, according to the Labor Department’s Employment Cost Index, a widely watched measure of pay that does not take inflation into account.

That is the biggest increase — not adjusted for inflation — since the year that ended in September 2008, when wages rose 3.1 percent.

Sluggish pay growth has been one of the biggest problems in this recovery, but employers are finally having to hike wages at a more normal level typically seen during good economic times. Unemployment is at a 49-year low and there are more job openings than unemployed Americans, which forces companies to fight for available workers.

For eight years we were told that recovery was coming, it was coming. Yet, it didn’t come till we had a pro-business president in office, someone who knows How Business Works, rather than thinks they know it from lectures by left wing professors and people who never did it.

And let me say to the Never Trumpers, because they have really been annoying the crap out of me lately, you may dislike Trump, but he is mostly doing the things we want a Republican president to do. If it was Jeb!, Christie, Cruz, etc, they’d be cheering. Instead, they find ways to be against the good that Trump is doing, just like Democrats.

There’s Only One Solution To Ending Hotcoldwetdry Or Something

Surprisingly, it’s not a tax, as written by Mayer Hillman at the UK Guardian

There are three options in tackling climate change. Only one will work

The world faces a near-impossible decision – one that is already determining the character and quality of the lives of the generations succeeding us.

It is clear from the latest IPCC climate report that the first and only effective course, albeit a deeply unpopular one, would be to stop using any fossil fuels. The second would be to voluntarily minimise their use as much as climate scientists have calculated would deliver some prospect of success. Finally, we can carry on as we are by aiming to meet the growth in demand for activities dependent on fossil fuels, allowing market forces to mitigate the problems that such a course of action generates – and leave it to the next generation to set in train realistic solutions (if that is possible), that the present one has been unable to find.

These are the choices. There are no others. Future generations will judge us on what we choose to do in full knowledge – accessories before the fact – of the devastating consequences of continuing with our energy-profligate lifestyles.

What a legacy we are bequeathing – regions of the world becoming uninhabitable at an accelerating rate, creating potentially millions of ecological refugees; a burgeoning world population, diminishing reserves of finite and other resources, shortages of water and food, calamitous loss of genetic variability, and wars of survival.

Remarkably, public expectations about the future indicate that only minor changes in the carbon-based aspects of our lifestyles are anticipated. It is as if people can continue to believe that they have an inalienable right to travel as far and as frequently as they can afford. Indeed, there is a widespread refusal by politicians to admit to the fact the process of melting ice caps contributing to sea level rises, and permafrost thawing in tundra regions cannot now be stopped, let alone reversed. The longer we procrastinate, the greater the certainty of environmental degradation, social upheaval and economic chaos.

One has to wonder if Mr. Hillman will be taking a fossil fueled trip to the UN IPCC COP24 in Katowice, Poland. I wonder if he went to the pre-COP24 in Krakow, Poland, in October. Will he rail at all the attendees who took long fossil fueled trips to the conferences?

One also has to wonder when all Believers will give up their own use of fossil fuels. They’re so enthused to deny the use of reliable, inexpensive, easily obtained energy to people in 3rd world nations, which could bring them out of poverty, but, they don’t do the same in their own lives.
