Wage Growth Is Going Up Fastest In A Decade

I wonder how Democrats will give the credit to Obama. Hey, maybe they’ll say that the Stimulus is finally kicking in

Let’s go to that Washington Post article, which surely gave lots of liberals at the post a case of the sad’s because Trump

U.S. workers are seeing the largest wage increase in a decade, the Labor Department reported Wednesday, as companies compete harder for employees than they did in recent years.

Wages rose 2.9 percent raise from September 2017 to September 2018, according to the Labor Department’s Employment Cost Index, a widely watched measure of pay that does not take inflation into account.

That is the biggest increase — not adjusted for inflation — since the year that ended in September 2008, when wages rose 3.1 percent.

Sluggish pay growth has been one of the biggest problems in this recovery, but employers are finally having to hike wages at a more normal level typically seen during good economic times. Unemployment is at a 49-year low and there are more job openings than unemployed Americans, which forces companies to fight for available workers.

For eight years we were told that recovery was coming, it was coming. Yet, it didn’t come till we had a pro-business president in office, someone who knows How Business Works, rather than thinks they know it from lectures by left wing professors and people who never did it.

And let me say to the Never Trumpers, because they have really been annoying the crap out of me lately, you may dislike Trump, but he is mostly doing the things we want a Republican president to do. If it was Jeb!, Christie, Cruz, etc, they’d be cheering. Instead, they find ways to be against the good that Trump is doing, just like Democrats.

The very lovely Miss Long is one of my Twitter followers!

She’s also one of the most honest people in the credentialed media. Formerly of CNN, and now with The Washington Post, despite several years of paying particular attention to her, I could not tell you if she is a Republican or a Democrat. I suspect that she voted for Hillary Clinton, because she does seem to pay attention to the number of women in economics and finance, but her reporting is honest, unbiased and forthright.

Nope. They’d still be finding ways to compare them to Hitler, (BushII), or Mussolini, (Christie), and calling them all racist, especially against Latinos, (even with Latino Cruz).

Anyone who notices this will be accused of being a kool-aid drinking, Fox TV watching, delusional person who needs to come back to reality. (Apparently this is the de-facto Facebook insult from Lefties these days).

    Um, from the article:

Adjusted for inflation, workers’ wages grew 0.6 percent over the year, making the increase the largest since 2016

Average Hourly Earnings of All Employees: Total Private, percent change from year ago

Note that the current trend is consistent with the trend since the end of the recession. As the labor market has tightened, wages in unadjusted dollars have grown.

And yet the populace is willing to give back power to the democrats who for 8 years led us down the path of stagnate wages, zero interest rates, and millions and millions of people unemployed and no longer working while others were saddled with massive student loans which were encouraged by the democrats to take on so they would get off the damn unemployment rolls and stop asking for a job.

We will see. When I look at one of the brightest minds at APPLED getting fired for daring to suggest Apple needed to be more woman friendly and got fired for being a mysoginist. When I read about how terrified people are to speak out in public for fear of retribution.

I can only hope that those secret voters that were no where to be found leading up to 2016 suddenly appear once again and deny power to the Democrats. At least until some form of sanity returns to their party. IF EVER.
