On the 26th, I dropped this Tweet
How soon till the Chicago storm and tornado are blamed on climate change?
One day later, on the 27th, we get this absurd diatribe from Think Insanity Progress
Fueled by fossil fuel pollution, an unprecedented, freak “land hurricane†swept through the continental United States, leaving a path of devastation from Saskatchewan to Texas — while the Republican Party has been taken over by a hurricane of science denial. Our destabilized climate system, supercharged with billions of tons of manmade global warming pollution, is unlike anything in the historical record. “Welcome to the Land of 10,000 Weather Extremes,†Minnesota meteorologist Paul Douglas gasped. “The storm is huge,†Peter Kimbell, emergency preparedness meteorologist for Environment Canada, said. “Much of North America is being affected by this storm. It’s covering millions of square kilometers.â€
So, now weather is climate. Interesting that tornadoes are prevalent enough in Minnesota that the Dept. of Health actually has a webpage about them. Anyhow, perhaps they should have told Al Gore about that “manmade global warming pollution”
Recently, Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore toured again. Or maybe he does that all the time. This time, he turned up in Gothenburg (Sweden) for the usual alarmist talk. In advance, all distinguished guests were politely advised to – if possible – use any form of public transportation to go to the event, in order to minimize CO2 emissions.
Intriguingly, the Master of World Climate himself arrived in a rental car (with or without driver is unclear), from the airport, and subsequently left the engine running for the entire lecture. That is to say, about one hour.
After the ceremony in the Norwegian capital Oslo, it is customary that the laureate is invited to the Swedish capital Stockholm, for a cordial visit. The train ride, supposedly the environmental choice according to Mr. Gore, is approximately four hours. However, he opted for the cosier ride with one of the Swedish government aircrafts.
Think Progress to slam the Goracle in 3…2…1……1…..1…..1…..1….1….1….
