Hmm, how did all these players get to the United Nations building?
The 17 nations responsible for 80 percent of carbon emissions blamed for global warming will seek to unblock stalled climate negotiations this week but analysts expect little progress.
The two-day Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate kicks off Monday and will include top government envoys, including US special envoy for climate change Todd Stern.
Oh, good, politicians and bureauweenings.
US President Barack Obama launched the meetings to facilitate climate talks in the wake of last year’s disappointing United Nations conference in Copenhagen.
So, we can expect to see a FAIL tag soon on these meetings.
Levi said the envoys would not seek to resolve the fierce debate over climate change but rather find ways to better define the issues, acknowledging the Cancun meeting would likely be another stalemate.
So…….what’s the point? To define the issues? We already know what they are: on one side are unhinged drones listening to “experts” who want power and money, and the other is people who don’t have their heads up their collective asses. And Cancun is supposed to accomplish nothing? So why bother? Oh, sorry, I forgot that Cancun is a great exotic vacation spot. Wouldn’t want all these people to be denied mostly taxpayer funded working vacations.
