An American Carol – The Review

I’m going to have to disagree with the Yahoo Movies users rating, and, simply give it an “Eh.”

While it certainly started out well, making fun of Jihadist names, with some good old David Zucker slapstick, it went downhill from there to complete predictability and telling me stuff I already know, without being very entertaining. Nothing new. No plot twists. You knew how it would end, and it ended poorly.

Kelsey Grammer was great as General Patton, as was Jon Voight as George Washington (though, his maybe a minute or two was just not enough.) Most of the characters, though, were pedanic and lifeless, though, the ACLU portrayed as zombies was slightly amusing. The skewering of Michael Moore had its times, but, still, no real fire. It was like they were thrown in there as filler to get the movie to 1 hour 23 minutes.

Wait for it to come out on DVD and rent it from your local video store. I’ll give it a C+ for that, but, to go to the theater? Solid D.
