France Making up for Ass Kicking

Wow, I am impressed:

The world’s highest road bridge has been inaugurated in southern France by President Jacques Chirac. Laun

The Millau bridge over the River Tarn in the Massif Central mountains is more than 300m (984ft) high – taller even than the country’s Eiffel Tower.

How long until they surrender it to birds? That was a cheap shot for the sake of a cheap shot. It actually is a rather pretty piece of engineering, isn’t it?

  1. Ogre says:

Is it really that tall, or are they counting starting at sea level?

I’m always amazed by bridges and how they can possibly be built, much less stand. So I’m a Physics geek, too.

  2. Ogre! I never would have expected you to be an adherent of REASON!
