Turkey, Turkey, Turkey

Did you know that there is a Turkey, North Carolina? How about that North Carolina is the nations second largest producer of turkeys? I thought it was peacocks, but that is one of those "boy, am I hungover" stories for a different time.

And, speaking of Turkey, can someone wake Ogre up? He live blogged Thanksgiving, and the Llama’s need feedin’.

I don’t know what the big deal is about cooking a turkey. Did it for the first time, yesterday. Six pounder (also had a pre-cooked ham). Threw that puppy (no, I am not following Evil Glenn’s lead) in the oven, 2 1/2 hours later the thermometer popped, BAMM! done. Perfect. It’s all the other stuff that is difficult. I am just glad that Mom doesn’t read my blog. She is a raging Left winger, and I prefer to stay on speaking terms with her 🙂

I was awakened to go see Polar Express, then came home and ate many, many desserts. Now I’m up today and anxious to start hitting the leftovers! Hooray Turkey!
