Coronavirus: Sex during lockdown with someone outside your household is illegal from today

Having sex in your own home with someone from a different household is illegal from today, after the government altered its coronavirus legislation.

At 11.30am on Monday, a change to the law was introduced that bans two people from different households in England gathering in an indoor, private place during the coronavirus lockdown.

The amendment to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Bill states: “No person may participate in a gathering which takes place in a public or private place indoors, and consists of two or more persons.”

Previously, going to another person’s home to have sex would have been a breach of coronavirus lockdown restrictions, but now both parties could be prosecuted under the law. Having sex in public is already illegal.

The problem, of course, is that Antifa is not a top-down organized group, more like small cells throughout the nation who do not respond to any superior control.

Coronavirus Shows Us What Climate Change Disruption Could Look Like

Mark Carney’s final years as governor of the Bank of England can be defined by his efforts to break what he calls climate change’s tragedy of the horizon: Despite consensus formed on the coming catastrophic impacts of climate change, the international community is condemned to inaction because those impacts will only be felt well beyond the horizons of traditional business and political cycles. “In other words,” Carney said, “once climate change becomes a defining issue for financial stability, it may already be too late.”

Carney, now United Nations special envoy for climate action and finance, has been in the habit recently of reminding us that we can’t self-isolate from climate change. The current crisis is being viewed as one more opportunity not to be wasted to break the tragedy of the horizons.

The global death and disruption caused by COVID-19 is not the direct result of climate change; however, the scale and nature of disruption parallel, in many ways, what scientists are telling us about a world where climate change is left unchecked.

For the first time in generations, we see the very real social and economic disruption wrought by a hard-to-imagine natural event that arrives gradually and sporadically, but quickly morphs into a runaway systemic threat. This time, it is a virus. Next time, it will be temperature rises and extreme weather events.

Physical risks of climate change will shutter businesses, disrupt supply chains and diminish the health and well-being of employees. The transition risks will bankrupt unprepared companies, lead to job losses and exacerbate inequalities. While temperatures will rise gradually over the coming decades, left unchecked, climate change will eventually reach the critical point at which the scale and velocity of change will quickly overwhelm societies, disrupt political systems, inflame geopolitical tensions and create conflict over essential resources.

Interestingly, it was Bat Soup shuttering businesses, despite a big slowdown in economic activity in February as people were concerned, afraid, and unsure: it was Government dictating which businesses where essential and non-essential, and telling the latter to shut down, with fines and jail threatened for those who did not comply. And dictating the way the essentials operated while open. The job loss goes to the government shut downs. Then Government dictating that people stay home, that travel is restricted, that only certain products could be purchased. People having to rely on government money. This is the world of ‘climate change’ policy. This is what it looks like.

Frans Timmermans, the European Union’s Green Deal chief, stresses that the Green Deal will be central to any recovery efforts and that the EU will move forward with the framework’s key pillars on the original timeline. This includes the proposed new climate law, making it legally binding for all EU-27 member states to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

So, pretty much codifying the conditions people are living through during Coronavirus. But, hey, I say they should institute everything in their GND, acting as the experimental group, letting the rest of us watch what happens.

Looting Continues Well Beyond Downtown Raleigh Overnight

The term “mostly peaceful” is probably the best one for the protest prior to darkfall. They were knocking down barriers around the governor’s mansion

and throwing paper over the fence, we assume with their demands. They were also throwing water bottles and other things at the police. Raleigh City Council member Saige Martin said the police should not use tear gas when that happens. Apparently, they are just supposed to allow people to hit them. They were also throwing fireworks and things that spewed green smoke. But, when the cops moved forward they did not fight back.

The protests then moved several blocks south back into the downtown area, where everything’s already looted and broken. And

7 arrested in connection to building damage, looting at North Hills, Triangle Town Center during George Floyd protests

Protests over George Floyd’s death continued Sunday night throughout the country, including in North Carolina.

Groups marched to demand change and justice throughout American institutions with some demonstrations turning violent with a tenor of anger and unrest. More than 20 states have enacted the National Guard with more than a dozen major cities under a curfew. In Raleigh, police were seen clearing the scene around Blount and Hargett streets Monday at 4:30 a.m. after a hectic weekend.

In Raleigh, there was damage beyond the downtown area. Mayor Mary Ann Baldwin will enact a curfew on Monday after looting and vandalism occurred at areas surrounding North Hills and Triangle Town Center Sunday night. Four were arrested from incidents at Triangle Town Center with three arrests stemming from North Hills.

Stores such as Target, Ross, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart were damaged around Triangle Town Center.

That’s not protesting. Those shopping centers are miles and miles from the downtown area. It would take you a good 20 minutes (with traffic and lights) to go from downtown to TTC on a good day.

The National Guard has been called to ‘provide support’ to Raleigh as the city continues to experience unrest sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“The National Guard is now deployed to provide support as we work to restore order & ensure the safety of residents; protect necessary & critical infrastructure; and help ensure that those who wish to lawfully and peacefully exercise their 1st Amendment right to protest can do so,” Raleigh Police announced early Monday morning in a tweet.

The NG is reportedly at North Hills, and probably in the TTC area (the Target, Ross, Dick’s, and Walmart are across the street from TTC)

Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin is expected to enact a curfew for the City of Raleigh on Monday following the outrage brought by George Floyd’s death.

“I wanted to give them (the protestors) a chance. I’m an optimist, I was hoping for the best and now what we’ve seen is more destruction downtown,” Baldwin said.

There was a protest that turned violent Saturday night. Then Sunday. What more do they need to protest? The cop who killed George Floyd is under arrest and has been charged with 3rd degree murder. The Raleigh PD is run by a black chief. So is the Wake County Sheriff’s Office. What do they actually expect to accomplish?

In Charlotte, NC, at least 30 have been arrested, police were injured, and businesses damaged and looted. Elsewhere

And in Chicago, where mayor Lori Lightfoot said “F U” to President Trump, 16 are dead and at least 30 shot. Good job, Lori!

‘Climate Change’ Means We’re All Going To Have Elevated Homes

Climate Change and the Arrival of the Baseless House

Like most of you, I have spent the last two months quarantined. I’m a bit embarrassed to say it, but just as nobility fled the cities during the plagues of the Middle Ages, we’ve been lucky enough to escape densely populated Boston, a hotpot for the pandemic, and spend our days along the shore in Marshfield, a small town about 45 minutes south, where we have a weekend house. I must constantly remind myself that it could be far worse.

Ah, good, another hypocritical liberal who helped spread Coronavirus outside of the big cities. BTW, how did he get to Marshfield? Fossil fueled trip?

One of the benefits of this place are opportunities to stroll the beaches and neighborhoods. Walking is by far the best way to see things that you often don’t see from a car. One glaring phenomenon I have noticed is the increasing numbers of what I am calling The Baseless House. These are houses that seem to be plopped on pressure-treated piers or high concrete-foundation walls, regardless of the site or the design of the house.

Most of these new houses are not what we would call “high-end” design, but some, like the one shown above, aren’t all that bad, referencing the steep roofs and porches of the neighborhood houses around it. Others are far less successful.

But what they all have in common is a rather misbegotten space under the house that is neither fish nor fowl. This space is the direct consequence of the FEMA regulations and flood maps issued in 2016 that have been adopted nationwide and have had a profound effect on the first-floor heights of structures built along marshes or waterways. The height requirement varies from region to region and even neighborhood to neighborhood. My own neighborhood now sits in a relatively high-risk AE Zone (down one zone from the most-restrictive VE Zone) defined within the 100-year flood limits and reflects the combined influence of stillwater flood elevations and wave effects of under 3 feet.

Yeah, they’ve been doing this at the beach for hundreds of years, but, see, climate change

All of those practical consequences aside, the aesthetic consequences are even worse. It’s clear from my walks around the neighborhood that no one is considering the design ramifications of the new FEMA regulations. Instead, in a kind of crude first stab at climate change mitigation, they’re simply building their standard house designs of the past on top of high piles or concrete foundations with no regard to how it might look.

Good grief. I grew up at the Jersey Shore. They had plenty of houses built like that. I saw them in Florida. They had them down at the NC beaches. This is nothing new. Warmists are such cultists.

Protests Rage: “Fayetteville Street Is Destroyed”

This means that lockdown is over, right? I failed to hear any in the media decrying the failure to social distance at the protests, like they did with ReOpen ones (for clarity, Fayetteville Street is downtown Raleigh, separate from Fayetteville, NC)

‘Fayetteville Street is just destroyed:’ Looters set fires, break windows and steal from stores in Raleigh

Protests, fires and outrage over the death of George Floyd have broken out in more than a dozen cities across the country, with some protesters smashing windows, setting cars ablaze and clashing with police officers.

Tonight, protesters in Fayetteville and Raleigh have grown unsettled–and, in some cases, violent. A historic building was set on fire and vandalized, police cars are being smashed, flags have been burned and protesters have thrown bottles and other items at officers. By the end of the evening, it was unclear if the looters and people causing property damage were part of the original protests at all.

Protests began peacefully on Saturday afternoon, with protests scheduled in cities across North Carolina. Durham, Raleigh and Fayetteville had marches with hundreds of protesters chanting, “No justice, no peace.”

Over 1,000 protesters marched in downtown Raleigh.

I had the intention of going down to the Raleigh one after work to see what was going on, yet, tear gas was already being used because some were throwing stuff at the police. I actually watched this occur on TV, and the brave throwers would throw something then run away.

But, you know, if you’re yelling “no justice no peace” without setting the terms of what justice is, then people are going to take the “no peace” part literally. And there were more than plenty of white leftists involved, and I saw the TV pan past at least one Antifa spray painted logo in Raleigh. Some said the Proud Boys were around early, around 4pm, in Raleigh. Watching the video live, it wasn’t them looting and throwing things and destroying things and lighting things on fire

Several fires started in downtown Raleigh between Fayetteville Street and Moore Square last night, where crowds gathered and riding around on the top of cars.

“Almost every window down Fayetteville Street is broken,” said WRAL reporter Keely Arthur. Looting has begun in downtown Raleigh, as looters have broken windows in multiple businesses and set a fire in the CVS on Hargett Street and Fayetteville Street.

Looters broke into Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville and appear to be going in and out of the JC Penney. Police arrived on the scene last night.

The Market House, where many protesters in Fayetteville gathered today, was set on fire and windows were smashed. Protesters added more fuel to the fire and threw wood pallets to encourage a larger fire in the Market House

In fairness to Durham, NC, there’s no reports of the things that occurred in Raleigh and Fayetteville. Right now in Fayetteville around 40K are without power, and they have no idea why.

4:30 a.m.: Police confirmed several businesses in Emporium Plaza were damaged during last night’s protests: AT&T, Raleigh Tobacco and Dr. Stylez. There’s a cash register on the ground and broken glass outside the buildings. There is also vandalism at the Gamestop on Capital Boulevard.

If you look at the map, that center is miles from downtown, so, someone took advantage.

3:00 a.m.: Fayetteville Police said things are beginning to quiet down, but they are blocking all roads around the hot zone. An officer said two Walmart stores and a Dick’s Sporting Goods are all ‘destroyed,’ among others.

Will those stores rebuild, or move on?

12:05 a.m.: An employee from Dollar General in downtown Raleigh spoke on camera saying she is concerned the damage, looting and fire will impact her job. As many local businesses were already struggling due to COVID-19, the destruction creates concern of more job loss during a time of economic hardship for many families.

Fayetteville St is destroyed. Not one business downtown is untouched. At a minimum, businesses had graffiti and/or broken windows. And there was damage on other streets in downtown.

Because Conservative protests rarely become violent. The only times they do it is because groups like Antifa show up. And the Raleigh PD saw what was happening at other George Floyd protests around the country. The reopennc ones weren’t taking over the streets, weren’t yelling fuck the cops, weren’t spray painting buildings, weren’t throwing things.

Having Solved All Their Problems, NYC Bans Use Of Certain Words To Describe Illegal Aliens

NYC Bans The Terms ‘Illegal Immigrant’ And ‘Alien,’ Will Now Refer To Illegal Immigrants As ‘Noncitizens’

New York City reportedly outlawed the use of the terms “alien” and “illegal immigrant” in official government documents Thursday and will now refer to illegal immigrants as “noncitizens.”

New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson said the term “alien” was “dehumanizing,” and said New York will become the first city to bar the language in government documents.

“These words are outdated and loaded words used to dehumanize the people they describe. It’s time to retire them,” Council Member Francisco Moya, the resolution’s sponsor said, according to an NBC affiliate in New York. “Words matter. The language we choose to use has power and consequences.”

The report also stated that the new resolution will make it a crime to threaten “someone for their use of another language or their limited English proficiency, and [to threaten] to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE ) on a person based on a discriminatory motive.”

The words illegal and alien are used in the federal code to describe people who are unlawfully present in the United States. But, SJW Open Borders Advocates gotta SJW Open Borders Advocate.

Trump should announce that ICE will not operate in NYC, so any illegal alien is safe there. Let’s see how much the city enjoys a massive stream of illegals.

Gutsy Kids Call Our Florida’s Government Or Something

My name is Dick Jacobs. I’m 89 years old, mostly a retired business attorney. For the past four years I’ve been in the fight of my life battling stage IV melanoma cancer. But as tough as that fight is, there’s another life or death battle – one that is a far tougher, and more important than my bout with cancer – that’s inspired me to action.

It all started after more than four decades of venture travel, trekking over the seven continents and writing Wonderlust, which chronicled my treks and the lessons I learned about caring for our Earth, the only home we have. I became convinced that I had to devote myself to helping our Earth with its growing cancer.

Thus, I became involved with eight gutsy kids and their suit against Florida, its governor and its key officials. The kids’ lawsuit isn’t about money. Their lawsuit is about protecting the kids’ constitutional, and fundamental rights, sourced in ancient laws over 1,500 years old, to a stable climate, which is essential to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness.

There is no constitutional right to a specific climate, to a so-called stable climate, which Mankind has never had.

These young people—and young people across the globe—know that their future depends on the actions we take right now. They understand there is a short window to avoid the worst impacts of climate change by transitioning to clean energy solutions. They know Florida needs a plan to end the fossil fuel energy system the state has perpetuated.

These kids are role models for us all…..

…I’ve heard comments shaming their parents for using their kids as pawns, putting them up to the litigation. Nothing could be further from the truth. As we met with the kids, it became clear that the kids were genuinely worried about the impacts of climate change on their future and they weren’t being pushed into this by parents. An amazingly sharp group, the youngest was Levi, then 8 years old. Levi’s been on 60 Minutes. Delaney Reynolds, now a University of Miami student, has been a speaker on climate issues before the United Nations. Luxha Aliheligi Phillips, an articulate 14 year old when I met her, is now a climate refugee, having left Miami. She is not alone. And it’s predicted that 2.5 million more people will be leaving Miami in the not too distant future because of global warming and rising seas.

An 8 year old isn’t going to understand any of this. They’ve been indoctrinated.

The kids deserve our support. Won’t you stand with them before it’s too late?

Stand with them to do what, exactly? Let government tax me more, take more of my hard-earned money? Let them take away my freedom, liberty, and choice? Restrict how I live my life? Increase my cost of energy and cost of living? No thanks!
