I made the mistake of listening to part of Obama’s border speech today, ending with my decision to turn it off, since most of my Tweets about it included 4 letter words (including this goody). Anyhow, here’s how ye olde Associate Press characterized the campaign speech
Obama Criticizes G.O.P. Position on Immigration
In search of Hispanic votes and an immigration overhaul, President Barack Obama on Tuesday stood at the U.S.-Mexico border for the first time since winning the White House and declared it more secure than ever. He mocked Republican lawmakers for blocking immigration over border security alone, saying they won’t be happy until they get a moat with alligators along the border.
“We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement,” Obama said. “But even though we’ve answered these concerns, I gotta say I suspect there are still going to be some who are trying to move the goal posts on us one more time.”
“Maybe they’ll need a moat,” he said derisively to laughter from the crowd. “Maybe they’ll want alligators in the moat.”
It was at that particularl point when I’d finally had enough, and will refer to him as NMP (NotMyPresident) from now on. I am sick and tired of this denizen of the Oval Office consistently attacking and denigrating Americans who simply disagree with his political views. I doubt the founders of this great nation envision the President being a completely partisan attack dog, nor treating opposing citizens in this manner. Hell, the writers of the Declaration Of Independence treated King George better than NMP Obama treats American citizens. Well, fuck him. Sound uncivil? Well, even the AP caught Chumps mule fritters
Politically, Obama sought to have it both ways.
He said he would lead a “constructive and civil debate” on the issue but publicly questioned the motives of Republicans and their ability to keep their word.
And it remained unclear how mocking Republican calls for border security would get Obama any closer to his goal of bipartisan legislation.
So, again, fuck him (guess I’m having my Ace of Spades moment).
Personally, I’d like to know if the Obama campaign paid for the complete use of Air Force 1 for this purely campaign trip. The speech today was added so that the taxpayers pick up part or all of the tab. Yet, that was in no way “official” government business. Anyone know how to file an official complaint?
Anyhow, fuck him. He thinks that just because he gave the kill order, making others do the dangerous work in killing Bin Laden, he can ratchet up his hyper-partisan rhetoric. He’s abused the trust of the American public, and no longer entitled to the title “POTUS” in my mind. Fuck him.
Did I mention he can go fuck himself? Just want to make sure.
