New Yorkers’ Quality of Life Hit by Migrant Crisis
A majority of New Yorkers believe that the arrival of tens of thousands of migrants to the city since April 2022 has now turned into a full-blown crisis, according to a recent poll for Newsweek, with many saying their presence is impacting their quality of life.
Nearly half of respondents (45 percent) to a Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll conducted on behalf of Newsweek between May 12 and 14 said that the large number of migrants now living in New York City had “a significant amount” of impact on the quality of life for permanent residents. Some 30 percent said they had “a fair amount” of impact and 17 percent said their impact equated to “a small amount,” while only 8 percent believed it had no impact at all.
More than 180,000 migrants have passed through New York City since the spring of 2022, according to city officials, with most coming from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and a smaller percentage having made their way to the U.S. from China and countries in Africa.
SCNY’s Comptroller said there were around 476k back in 2019. So, 656K. Of course, what of between 2019 and 2022?
While New Yorkers have been welcoming of migrants, trying to face up to a growing emergency, the city’s efforts to meet the flow of new arrivals and provide shelter for all have been costly and tiresome—and the poll shows they’re taking a toll on residents.
Welcoming, as long as they are Over There in some other section of SCNY, or, better yet, another city. Or state.
Some 64 percent of New York City residents responding to our poll agreed that the city is facing a migrant crisis, whereas only 11 percent thought that wasn’t the case.
Yeah, well, they should try visiting border towns one day to see the full effect of their beliefs.
Some 41 percent believed that the increased number of migrants in the city was having a significant impact on its crime rate. Some 31 percent said the impact was “fair,” 18 percent said it was “small” and 10 percent said the presence of migrants had no impact at all on the New York City crime rate. The poll was conducted among 974 eligible voters in New York.
But the data coming from the city’s authorities do not entirely back up their beliefs.
According to the latest data from the New York Police Department, the city saw reductions in overall crime through the first quarter of 2024. As of March, murder was down 19.4 percent, burglary dropped by 17.4 percent and grand larceny decreased by 7 percent compared to a year earlier. Felony assault was up 5.5 percent and robbery was unchanged.
All those stupid peasants should stop believing their stupid eyes as they witness all the issues the illegals bring. Their Betters know better.

The 600000 that did moved out are to the economy. Many are not waiting for their work papers but instead using false social security numbers, contributing to social security without being able to claim benefits.

Any evidence to support that claim? It’s not reasonable to believe that Trump understood the bill. The bill was constructed by Senator James Lankford (R-OK) one of the most conservative US Senators. Trump stated publicly: on Truth Social that approving additional resources for the border would make Republicans “look bad.”

Technically he is correct on both parts. The existing immigration laws today are the same ones that were in effect during the Trump administration. The difference is that Biden’s shadow government controllers are openly defying those laws and exploiting them for their own electoral gain. The fact that the Biden administration has been mainlining tens of millions of immigrants into our country in the past three years definitely works in Trump’s favor because the American people do not want the country overrun with foreigners and remember things weren’t that bad when Trump was president. The only law that has changed is the COVID restriction. Everything the Biden Administration claims they need a law for, they can already do with teh laws they have now. What they really want a new law for is a vehicle to carry tens of billions of dollars to fund more of their anti-American programs and policies as well as pay offs to their NGO, universities, and city governments.
Democrats hope to gain by massively inflating the population in blue areas to permanently taint the electoral college and congressional apportionment in the next census. We can already estimate that California has 15 electoral votes on the basis of foreign citizens living in their boundaries. No other country on the planet arranges their government to suit foreigners at the expense of native citizens. There are so many foreign citizens in Northern Virginia that they have changed the complexity of the state from Red to Strong Blue. This was true before counting the Biden administration flood. Normal Americans see this and do not want it. Even many democratic party groups are starting to question whose side the Democratic party is on and who are they representing. They look like the party of criminals, foreign interests, childless women, and 1% sexual deviants.

Mr david claimed that immigrants had to apply for asylum from outside the US, which is untrue. That’s all.
Asylum seekers must be in the US or at a point of entry which is an airport or an official land crossing to request the opportunity for asylum. There’s no way to ask for a visa or any type of authorization in advance for the purposes of seeking asylum you just have to show up. I think perhaps David was mixed up.
But it does prove how fucked up and convoluted the entire immigration system has become. There’s also some other kind of law or rule that states if you pass through another country before you reach the United States you had to ask for asylum there.
I don’t know all the rules regarding asylum immigration illegal immigration or any of it. It’s like trying to determine with all the different ways the Democrats stole the last election putting it together to prove it. Between illegal drop boxes changing the laws and states federal courts ruling on state issues etcetera etcetera etcetera all the way down to pulling boxes of ballots from under the desks closing ballot places early and of course the 9 million dead people voting that the Democrats always come up with. It’s just almost impossible to put together the whole sequence of events which is precisely what they’re betting on.

We’ve seen a calculated corrupt method of using the law against a citizen of this country. That is not right by any standard even the crooked standards of leftists.
