Know Why Obama’s Having Problems? Raaaaacism!

No, really. Just ask Jim Clyburne

House Assistant Democratic Leader Jim Clyburn, the highest-ranking African-American in Congress, on Wednesday blamed most of President Barack Obama’s political problems on racism. (snip)

“You know, I’m 70 years old,” he said. “And I can tell you; people don’t like to deal with it, but the fact of the matter is, the president’s problems are in large measure because of the color of his skin.”

Obviously, opposition to Obama can’t have anything to do with his historic and horrible policies and agenda. Can’t have anything to do with the unprecedented spending, the bailouts, the stimulus, failure to focus on job creation in the private sector, the hostility to the private sector, the willingness to demean private citizens and entities, treating our allies like garbage and our enemies like gold…..you know the hit parade. But, no, it has to be raaaaacism.

Here’s where it gets even more fun

Clyburn suggested that the “birther” movement of Americans who say Obama wasn’t born in the United States is fueled by racism.

See? It has nothing to do with people completely overboard/just wondering about Obama, no, raaaaacism can be the only answer. But, wait, then we get

“I don’t know why anybody didn’t ask for John McCain’s” birth certificate, Clyburn said. “He wasn’t even born in this country.”

I declare Clyburne a racist for daring to question McCain’s birth. He must prove that he is not one, and there are no measures that would lead him to not be a racists.

(Psst, Jim? No one asked because McCain offered his full BC, and the law says he is a natural born citizen)

Alan Colmes is, of course, buying into the Liberal Battle Cry, to steal a phrase from the first commenter.

Israel Maztav writes “when all else fails, play the race card.”
