North Carolina Teen Will Plead Guilty Over Bomb Threats

Hey, do you remember Ashton Lundeby? He was the Oxford teen arrested for calling in bomb threats to schools across the country for money? And how many media outlets, including Raleigh TV station WRAL, ran with the “he was arrested under the EVIL Patriot Act” meme? And so many Lefties ate it up? Even after they found out that the arrest had nothing to do with the Patriot Act? And mommy dearest proclaimed his innocence? Yeah, about that

Ashton Lundeby, 17, was arrested in March 2009 on charges that he and others allowed Web gamers to pay fees to listen to and observe police responses to bomb threats.

Threats were made to numerous colleges, including Purdue University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Clemson University and Florida State University, as well as to FBI offices in Louisiana and Colorado, according to federal court records.

Lundeby last week filed a petition to plead guilty in federal court in Indiana to one count of criminal conspiracy in the case. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the charge.

Have fun in the pokey.

any bets on whether he receives a jail term ?

  2. I think he will get 2-3 years, reduced by time served. Plus, his life is basically hosed by being convicted of a felony.

How is it that our youth are so darn bright and so darn dumb at the same time??
Oh I know, the left is doing the majority of schooling here in America, and have taught them no morals or life skills, just stuff that has been watered down since the 70’s. And God forbid they learn about God. I found in high school that a lot of Catholic guilt is often a good thing in choice making…
Honestly, this story makes me sad more than angry.

  4. What’s sadder is that his Mom still maintains his innocence, and that he is a good boy.
