New Poll Shows The Dominance Of Fox Over Others

Rachel Maddow? Who Dat? That’s what The Politico is pushing with: Poll: Bill O’Reilly is popular, but Rachel Maddow is unknown to likely voters

More people are getting their news about the upcoming election from cable television than any other source, and from Fox News more than any other cable channel, according to a POLITICO/George Washington University Battleground Poll released Monday.

The poll found that 81 percent of those polled get their news about the midterm elections from cable channels, like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, or their websites, compared with 71 percent from national network news channels, such as ABC, NBC or CBS, and their websites.

Among cable news channels, Fox was the clear winner, with 42 percent of respondents saying it is their main source, compared with 30 percent who cited CNN and 12 percent who rely on MSNBC.

The power of Fox. Yes, they do have several hours a day of right/Conservative leaning shows, but, for the most part, they give access to all points of view. They make a point of pairing up right and left and watching the fur fly. Bill O’Reilly was given high marks, as were Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, but

MSNBC’s personalities were largely ranked as unknown by respondents: 70 percent said they had never heard of Ed Schultz, 55 percent said they had never heard of Rachel Maddow and 42 percent said they had never heard of Keith Olbermann.

As Gateway Pundit puts it “Good News For Rachel Maddow… Nobody Knows Who She Is”. Jammie Wearing Fool piles on with “Poll: Americans Love Fox, Have No Idea Who These Losers on MSNBC Are”.

MSNBC used to be a great station, and, back till around 2002, was my preferred station (I thought their 9/11 coverage was the best). They decided that they were going to patronize the hard left, and learned, like with Air America, that there really weren’t all that many nutjobs out there. Plus, the moonbats often prefer to listen to Rush, Beck, Hannity, Boortz, etc, in order to stay angry.

Teach “cable news’ is like the minor leagues. On any given night during the prime time news hour Fox gets less than 10% of the viewers.

Still more than your favorite liberal rags anyday, ‘Lil LIAR.

    Johnny is in denial.
When the news doesn’t suit him, he makes crap up.
It’s okay John, yes November will hurt, and yes Fox will continue to gain steam and credibility among us hard working Americans as long as liberals in the OTHER news media ignore reality and act like elitist buttheads who know SO much more than the rest of us do.
    Sort of like you do.
