I Plan On Eating At This Restaurant Next Time I’m In Carolina Beach

Love it!

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – A restaurant in Carolina Beach is stirring up controversy over a couple of signs reading, “Screaming children will not be tolerated.”

The owner of the Olde Salty restaurant, Brenda Armes, is tired of having her customers complain to her about children misbehaving and screaming when others are trying to enjoy a quiet meal.

If the snowflakes get too rambunctious, the parents will be asked to take them outside for some quality STFU time. But, obviously, some people have a problem with this

“I’ve never seen a restaurant say, don’t bring your screaming kids in here,” said Ashley Heflin, who is a mom of two. “You can’t help it if your kids scream.”

You probably know what I’m thinking on that one, to which I will add “if they are scream prone, don’t bring them somewhere and ruin it for everyone else.”

They have a right to refuse service on reasonable grounds.

My feeling about the whole children in restaurants thing, is that if you see crayons and booster seats when you walk in, and notice a children’s menu and you still sit down, you have no right to bitch. On the other hand, if you’re in a place where the food comes to you and it’s on real china, well then sir, drop the little bastard in the lobster tank.

I love the person’s response… “I’ve never seen a restaurant say, don’t bring your screaming kids in here,”

    hahahahahaha.

She admits her kids are screaming hellions, but has a problem with other people having problems with them.

While we are on this topic…. Ma’am, you have the right to take your kids wherever you want, but you DON”T have the right to inflict them upon people trying to enjoy a good meal in peace.

wow.. that was… almost… touching. Might have believed it if not for the spam.

    WAIT!!!!!
aawwww.. no more sincere tear-jerking stories of mommies, and love, and cheap-shoes.com?

Man,… what’s this world coming to? Teach, you are cold-hearted. Which of course, I guess, is the reason for your posting the post. You hate Moms and Kids.

I see how you are now….

The problem is that the parents seem to think that their little darlings are soo cute and everyone should enjoy them and tolerate their excesses. Most of the time they let the little darling run all over the place with little supervision. It makes one wonder where all the perverts are so they can grab them. With my kids, they were expected to have manners in a resturant. If they started to cry, they left.

  7. Yeah, I know, Capn. Heck, I usually throw pasta sauce at the little screaming snowflakes 🙂

    Right on the money.

    THAT’SA SPICY-A MEATBALL-A!!

    (OW, THAT HIT MY EYE!!)

Teach, you coulda put somebody’s eye out. Watch where you throw that stuff next time. Some people don’t like it when you throw around hot, spicy, saucy truth like that.
