Former congressman William J. Jefferson was sentenced to 13 years in prison Friday for accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, the longest prison term ever handed down to a member of Congress convicted of corruption charges.

    corruption is present in both parties and always will be. The difference lies mostly in how each party handles it. When he was arrested Pelosi IMMEDIATELY removed him from his committee assignments unlike the Dukester)or Bob Ney. Also please note that the Attorney General prosecuting that case was asking for the MAXIMUM 300 months. The Attorney General supervising this case was appointed by Eric Holder
