Smoke Gets In Your Eye-View From The Porch

We had some ugly clouds and t-storms around the Raleigh area yesterday, and, unusually, the winds were moving east to west. For those unfamiliar, that weather pattern is usually only around bodies of water, due to land vs water temps most often. It started smelling smokey. Couldn’t figure out why.

Same thing this AM. Then I realized why. It was from all the fires burning in the Eastern part of NC. Not a good air quality day.

Those are views from my back deck, facing east. Click to open in new window.

I reckon’ golf and sitting at the pool is out.

I never see any photos you post, just an obscene “Stop Hotlinking” Notice. And when I click through, I get a 404 Not Found Error. This happens on multiple machines using different browsers from home, work, and public terminals.

I am just now fed up with it and hafta ask, why? If you’re worried about bandwidth theft, you can use any number of photo-sharing services. I use both Photobucket and Flickr.

okay…I just posted the comment and refreshed…now I see photos for the first time. I’ll have my crow raw, please.

  3. Hmm, I wonder why that is doing it, though? I have never noticed it happen on any of the personal or work pc’s.

I am going to try turning the plugin off. Mostly, I have it enabled because of some sidebar stuff and the Patriotic Pinups from my hosted Gallery page. I rarely have anything else internal. Let me know if it continues, if you could, please, Thunder Pig. I’d appreciate.

  4. PS: were most, if all, doing that? Because most are hosted at Photobucket.

I feel like an idiot now because as soon as I opened my mouth (and inserted foot) it quit, even when viewed in my reader (my 1st suspicion).

Maybe all I had to do was register to comment, or open my mouth.

    Sorry for the confusion.

not a good air quality day? We had better start legislating those wildfires. We don’t want them contributing to the global warming, errrrrr, climate change problem. From now on, only a limited number of wildfires will be allowed and anything over and above the specified amount will result in some hefty fines for you matey!
