So, I stopped at the convenience store on the way to a 1pm meeting, wanted to grab a cup o' joe and some snacks. Go up to pay, and notice all the porn mags behind the counter. Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, etc.
My question is, why on Earth would anyone pay for a dirty magazine and go through that embarrassment, when they can find tons of porn for free on Al Gore's Internet? Just seems dumb. Have to be liberals. Let's just hope they never come to this realization, otherwise they might try to subsidize the print porn industry using taxpayer money. That's really not written tongue in cheek, either.
Speaking of dumb, why the heck do people slow WAAAAAAY down when it rains and pull the brake tapping garbage, yet drive like idiots in the snow and ice?
My thoughts on the rain idiot drivers:
If you can’t go at least 5 over the speed limit because it’s not safe for you, that’s fine. FIND A ROAD WITH A LOWER SPEED LIMIT! Nearly all the accidents that happen in the rain here are because of idiots going too SLOW, not the others going the speed limit.

Ogre, you probably get the same thing in Charlotte, where people drive below the speed limit on all the major roads during a light shower.
Stacy, I have the same thing happen when I search Yahoo photo’s. I keep forgetting to turn safe search on.
I recently had eye surgery on one eye and it affects my vision–hopefully, it will get better. I try to stay just below the speed limit and have been honked at and treated very rudely by people who seem to be going OVER the speed limit. Too many examples to quote. And it’s the impatient people that cause the wrecks. When you’re on the interstate, people fly by while you do the speed limit!
BTW, I love it when a psycho flies by and we’re both stopped at the next light! I’m always tempted to wave, but I don’t want to be a victim of road rage!
I see your point, Linda. Problem is, around Raleigh, people are going 10-20 mph slower then normal, and doing it in the fast lanes.
Around town, I usually go about 5mph over, really no point going faster, because I end up at the same lights. Except when they run them.
I’ve accidentally seen porn on Al Gore’s internet too. I have done some genealogy and my grandmother’s maiden name was Dick. Do you have any idea how hard it is to research that family name on the internet???

I don’t know anything about driving on snow/ice though. I’m Southern.
I’ve actually been in worse snow and ice storms here in Raleigh then when I was living in NJ, including going to school up in the mountains in NW Jersey.
One time I had to drive through the mountains going from Va into WVa in a blizzard. I drove on the wrong side of the rode, because the mountain was on that side. Had no idea where the guardrail was on the right.
