Rule 5: Climahypocrite Miranda Kerr New Global Ambassador For Earth Hour

Sometimes climate morons are seriously hot (though, The Independent doesn’t seem to understand how Rule 5 works. What, no pictures?)

Australian model and Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr is supporting the fight against climate change by becoming the global ambassador for Earth Hour, WWF revealed on Friday.

Now in its fourth year, Earth Hour is an international movement which encourages individuals and businesses around the world to turn off their lights for one hour on March 26 at 8:30pm local time in a bid to raise awareness about climate change.

The 27-year-old Kerr has previously undertaken charitable work for Wildlife Warriors International. In a statement released by WWF regarding Earth Hour, she said, “Each of us has a responsibility for the sustainability of our planet and each of us can make a difference if we choose to do so.”

What she means is “each of you.” Not herself. Via Tom Nelson we get this story on little miss climahypocrite

Miranda (who was not wearing an engagement ring despite rumors she is engaged to Orlando Bloom) arrived in Australia via private plane yesterday. It’s not surprising she can afford to board her own personal jet considering Forbes ranked her 8th on its list of the world’s top-earning models.

Good thing the Aussie super-model isn’t flying into Paris. Or flying around the world to other places. Owning multiple homes. Isn’t participating in all those high energy using fashion shows bad for globull warming? How about all the trees killed to publish magazines?

Miranda wasn’t in Australia you idiots she was in Paris! She had to leave the USA to have her visa finalised and timed it to coincide with the Balenciaga Show. Earth Hour & WWF are blessed to have such a natural healthy, organic living ambassador. I’m sure she would pay her carbon offset fees when she flies and even the most active environmentalists no doubt have HAD to fly to get to remote locations when coming from other countries to participate in events. Get your facts under control – you look stupid otherwise!

  2. Sam says:

BTW, she never flies by private jet either – where do you pull this shit from?

  3. Sam, she flies to Australia at least once a year, since she is from there and has a modeling contract there. If you read the story you’d see I mentioned she was in Paris. And it was a private jet.

Furthermore, paying for carbon offsets is simply a way for climate alarmists to never have to change their behavior to match their rhetoric.

HOw dare you point out facts from stories and from her herself, Teach. how dare you.

  5. gitarcarver says:

Actually, Sam typifies why groups use celebs – people don’t care about the facts and only see the celebrity.

“She’s purdy so she must be right!”

    Oh, and Sam?

As far as “natural, healthy, organic living ambassador,” (as opposed to the less than preferable inorganic dead ambassador) please go visit here:
    http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Kerr is 5′ 9″ tall, and weighs 123 pounds.

Enter that into the BMI calculator and you’ll see that like most models,Kerr is underweight.

  6. […] Thanks to Blogo-Wogo for the shout out about the McCain-Collins Institute of Therapeutic Breast Staring. And Mind-Numbed Robot. William Teach has more on this always intriguing subject. […]

  7. Maggie Mama says:

Don’t you find it amusing, Teach, that they’re not turning off the heat … or not driving for that one hour.

Rather, they are turning off the lights. As far as I can tell, that’s already their constant current condition: IN THE DARK!

  8. Yeah, I know, Cap’n, facts are just plain mean. I love how liberals always let their opinion out, without actually reading the posts.

But, they’re celebs, GT: shouldn’t we listen to these folks who quite often never even finished high school?

I do love it, Maggie: it is a way for them to feel good about Doing Something for 1 hour out of 8765 in a year.

The real planet lovers are the “former believers” who comprise the majority at the voting booth now. We are happy about climate change being wrong and or exaggerated, not disappointed. We see the scientists breaking ranks everywhere, especially after when Obama didn’t even mention the climate “crisis” in his state of the union address to the nation. Reasonable people now see the exaggerations committed by a science industry.
We were all fools and history is showing climate change to be another Iraq War of false Weapons of Mass Destruction. Shouldn’t we all feel a little guilty for condemning our kids to a death by CO2 for 25 years of climate change warnings and needless panic? Remove the CO2 and continue stewardship of the planet anew I say.
Let’s get ahead of the curve because history is watching this CO2 insanity die a slow death.

Love (not) the way that you use images of Ms. Kerr only in bikinis. Love (not) the way that you use one instance of purportedly flying on a private plane as evidence she always does that. Love (not) the way you assume she does the right thing for one hour. I believe she admits she flies and must do so to get to jobs. (You guys should invent teletransportation but that would take up too much electricity.) Rabid people like you turn off people who might want to get involved. Rabid sexism also turns off women (including pretty women) who might attract men to the cause. Take care but don’t waste energy.

  12. captainfish says:

    Hi Justaliberalchick,
    thanks for coming and sharing.

However, no thanks, I gave at the office already.

  13. I wonder if Justaliberalchick would send us a bikini shot. I’d be happy to include her in a Rule 5 post.

She also doesn’t seem to get that Kerr is a big climate moron, yet, is a huge producer of CO2. Obviously, it’s OK for Kerr to be a climahypocrite in Chick’s World. But, hey, Kerr has a job, and she’s a Believer, so, that’s fine. For the rest of us, Government must regulate our lifestyles.

  14. captainfish says:

Yes. Since Kerr is a believer, and it is her job to fly and jetset to all of these locales, then it is justified. Just like the EU and UN people flying down to Cancun or various other places, eating 5 STAR meals, being entertained every hour of the day…. it’s their job you see. It’s ok because they are believers.

But, let me drive my truck to MY WORK, where I serve the public necessity…. no. I MUST cut back my usage and use mass transit or ride a bike. Or, better yet, buy a $40,000 car that only goes 40 miles and less than that during the winter or summer time.

Oh, by the way, what kind of gas mileage do those big limousines and Rolls-Royce’s get? Seems if they “cared” so much, those would be the first things to go all electric and be self-powered to boot. No sucking off the electric grid for a recharge.
