We Could End ‘Climate Change’ By Doing Just One Thing Or Something

And preferably with the Helping Hand Of Government (rules), as brought to us by Jimmy Pierson, the UK director of ProVeg International

We could end climate change by 2057 – we just have to make one very simple change

It’s 2057. Forty years from now. What does the world look like? Forget any dystopian visions you might have seen – there can be a glorious future ahead of us all. Here’s a quick look.

Let’s start with one of the greatest achievements in the history of humankind: curbing climate change. We did it. We managed to halt its seemingly unstoppable path to destruction. Best of all, it was done by the people. Through individual action alone, food emissions are down by around 70 per cent.

Our oceans are once again full of life, our rivers repopulated and unpolluted. Trees are back on previously bare hills, and wild animalshave taken up residence in our countryside. We’ve re-engaged and reconnected with nature, and we are much happier for it.

It’s kumbaya land, where type 2 diabetes is virtually gone, no one is obese, heat disease is way down, beating cancer is almost here, children are playing outside (only if they get rid of smartphones), hunger is gone, and

We also fundamentally overhauled our food system. The UK took the opportunity presented by Brexit to become a world leader in creating a sustainable food system that provided jobs, fed families and consigned food banks to the past. Other countries soon followed our lead.

As part of this shake-up, fresher, healthier foods now enjoy government subsidies, making them more affordable and accessible for all. Good health is not determined by class, race, gender, financial status or any other factor.

Isn’t it interesting how everything revolves around giving Government massive new power? In the UK, they already control healthcare. Now the Warmists want to give them control of our food.

How was this new world achieved? By major technological breakthrough? Did science come along to solve all our problems? No. It was a change so simple you probably wouldn’t believe it. We just started substituting meat with plant-based alternatives. Meal by meal, day by day, we transitioned to plant-based living.

And if we do this (by government force), we’ll live in this awesome vegan utopia where the weather is 100% predictable because it doesn’t ever change!

These people are such nags.

Study Shows Hollywood Is Pretty Darned Bigoted On Latino Immigrants

So, we already know that rape, sexual assault, and sexism are rampent throughout the very Democrat Party leaning Hollywood. Now we learn something else about the Left leaning entertainment industry

Half of Latino Immigrant Characters on TV Are Portrayed as Criminals, Study Finds (Exclusive)

Define American, the immigration nonprofit founded by Pulitzer-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, has released its first-ever media reference guide for writers, directors and producers. (WT – that’s the same guy who’s an illegal alien)

Immigrants and Immigration: A Guide for Entertainment Professionals is a 19-page brief that defines key terms (“blanket waiver,” “mixed-status family”) and breaks down current key issues in immigration law, including the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and the U visa for victims of violent crimes.

“Immigration is the most controversial yet least understood issue in America today. That’s why it’s crucial for Define American to publish a resource for members of the entertainment industry to better understand immigration and more accurately portray immigrants,” says Elizabeth Grizzle Voorhees, who joined Define American as its inaugural entertainment media director last summer. “These tools are written specifically for creative professionals, and we hope they will lead to increased representation and more humanized storytelling in television and film.”

Remember, networks are increasingly adding illegal aliens in as main characters to shows.

In addition to the guide, Define American has released a scorecard on the state of immigration representation on television, taken from The Opportunity Agenda’s study of 40 popular broadcast, cable and streaming shows that aired between April 2014 and June 2016. That report found that immigrants were underrepresented with just 6 percent of roles in the sampling (while comprising 17 percent of the U.S. population). However, they are overrepresented as criminals, with half of Latino and a quarter of Middle Eastern immigrant characters shown engaging in criminal activity. In real life, U.S. census and American Community Survey data has found that immigrant males between the ages of 18 and 39 are approximately half as likely to be incarcerated as their native-born counterparts.

Huh. That’s rather bigoted of the left leaning entertainment industry, is it not?

Of course, when it comes to illegal aliens, 100% of them are criminals.

NYC Terror Attack Hot Take: The Attack Was “Anti-Islamic

First, here’s what we know

(NY Times) A driver plowed a pickup truck down a crowded bike path along the Hudson River in Manhattan on Tuesday, killing eight people and injuring 11 before being shot by a police officer in what officials are calling the deadliest terrorist attack on New York City since Sept. 11, 2001.

The rampage ended when the motorist — whom the police identified as Sayfullo Saipov, 29 — smashed into a school bus, jumped out of his truck and ran up and down the highway waving a pellet gun and paintball gun and shouting “Allahu akbar,” Arabic for “God is great,” before he was shot in the abdomen by the officer. He remained in critical condition on Tuesday evening.

Mayor Bill de Blasio declared the rampage a terrorist attack and federal law enforcement authorities were leading the investigation. Investigators discovered handwritten notes in Arabic near the truck that indicated allegiance to the Islamic State, two law enforcement officials said. But investigators had not uncovered evidence of any direct or enabling ties between Mr. Saipov and ISIS and were treating the episode as a case of an “inspired” attacker, two counterterrorism officials said.

Reports say that Saipov was gleeful, and showed zero remorse. Five of those killed were Argentine tourists. Saipov himself was from Uzbekistan, coming in 2010 and being immediately given permanent legal resident status via a Diversity Visa Program. Sponsored by NY Senator Chuck Schumer.

The mosque he attended has been under surveillance by the NYPD for extremist ties. Weird, right? It’s not like mosques have been shown to be hotbeds of preaching and teaching Islamic extremism, right? Anyway, here we go

(Daily Caller) MSNBC contributor Malcolm Nance stated Tuesday that the suspected Islamist terror attack in New York City was an “anti-Islamic” attack.

Nance stated, “It is evil. What it is is you’re seeing the physical manifestation of a cult ideology. And what you’re seeing is not Islam, whatsoever. None of this is condoned, including the sacrificing and getting yourself killed at the end of a terrorist attack. None of that is Islamic, it’s anti-Islamic. And what you’re seeing is these people have created a belief system in which mass murder, as we saw on 9/11, and as we’ve seen all throughout the Middle East, they kill more Muslims than anybody else.”

Except for that bit about killing the infidel. And so many other things. Like this: “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them” (Quran 8:12).

And there’s this study that shows that Islamic terrorism is, surprise, Islamic.

Anyhow, it’s interesting that the NY Times has zero opinion pieces on the attack, when they had plenty on the Las Vegas shooting. We’ll see if any are published Thursday. By which time many Left leaning outlets will be attempting to divorce Islam from the terrorism, and trotting out articles about how Muslims feel afraid.

10 Year Old Invents Girl Scouts Patch For Empowerment

When I first ran across this opinion piece via Memorandum, I figured it would be just another 3rd Wave (nutty) Feminism piece proclaiming Victimhood, which was surely written by the child’s mother. Reading it, perhaps this could be the start of a 4th wave, or a return to original feminism, as written by Alice Paul Tapper

I’m 10.  And I Want Girls to Raise Their Hands.

Last year on a fourth-grade field trip, I noticed that all the boys stood in the front and raised their hands while most of the girls politely stayed in the back and were quiet. It made me upset.

On the car ride home I told my mom about what happened. We talked about how it seemed unfair and how boys and girls should be equal. My mom talks to me a lot about women’s rights and how women are treated differently.

Those, and the following paragraph, made it very much seem as if we were going to delve into Victimhoodology as taught by today’s feminists, but, wait, wait, Alice took it to her Girl Scout troop

We talked about it as a troop. All 12 girls in our troop said this was a problem they also noticed and we talked about how we could improve it. I suggested that we create a Girl Scout patch that would encourage girls to raise their hands in class and be more confident about using our voices. The other girls loved the idea, and they had other suggestions. As a troop we decided to go the local council, Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital, which represents more than 62,000 girls in the Greater Washington, D.C., region, to present our idea.

We decided to call it the Raise Your Hand patch. Its message is that girls should have confidence, step up and become leaders by raising our hands.

As with every patch in Girl Scouts, you have to earn this one. To get it, a scout needs to pledge to raise her hand in class and recruit at least three other girls who promise to do the same. As of this week, troops across the country can order the Raise Your Hand patch. I’m proudly wearing mine.

Seems a little light to earn it, but, then, these are just young girls, and this is more about empowering yourself than being a Victim, so, kudos, Alice Paul! She and her troop are refusing to be victims. They seem to understand that if you want power, you have to earn it. You have to take it. You have to be confident.

On their first date, when my mom found out that my dad’s middle name was Paul, she instantly knew that if she married my dad and had a baby girl she would call me Alice Paul. Alice Paul was one of the women who led the movement for women to have the right to vote. Having Alice Paul’s name makes me feel special. For women to be equal to men, we have to fight for it.

And kudos for that. If you want to know what real female empowerment looks like, look to Alice Paul, who was jailed for protesting for the right to vote. They even had a symbol, a little jail cell door pin. Paul did not back down, she did not stop fighting, and she refused to be a victim.

Spooky: U.S. To Prepare For ‘Climate Change’ Caused Vampire Bat Invasion

Warmists were a little late with their doomsaying on ‘climate change’ while using Halloween as a prop, but, hey, better late than never

Just in Time for Halloween, Scientists Are Preparing for a Vampire Bat Invasion in the U.S.

Tis the season … for stockpiling copious amounts of garlic, crosses and holy water to fight vampires. Vampire bats, to be specific.

OK, maybe that’s just in the movies, but according to Popular Science, vampire bats may soon swarm the United States in droves unseen since 5,000-plus years ago. The likely cause? Climate change.

Oh, wait, what’s this?

Fossils found in California, Florida, Texas and Arizona (among other states), dating back to approximately 5,000 to 30,000 years ago, indicate that the vampire bat once lived in the U.S. when it was a much warmer place.  The species is currently found throughout Mexico, Central America and South America, but research shows that the Desmodus rotundus population is on the rise, pushing into new territory in both North and South America. The bats may bring new variants of rabies along with them.

So, the rest of the article likes to blamestorm Mankind for rising temps, but, um, what caused this previously? Nature, you say? Huh. Of course, Warmists have their anti-science talking points to tell us why, showing that they are part of a cult.

Meanwhile, the Environmental Defense Fund goes on to tell us about the 5 scariest aspects of ‘climate change’, which is the real Halloween horror story or something. Still no actual scientific proof of being mostly/solely caused by Mankind.

Grist has the Halloween of the future, and says you’re not going to like it.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner is recommending you reuse your Halloween pumpkins to stop food waste to stop Hotcoldwetdry. You know, the ones that have been sitting outside for a week or two. Yuck.

The Union of Concerned (Climahysterical) Scientists says the spookiest costume of 2017 is the fossil fuel company executive.

Yeah, that one deserved a facepalm.

Finally, Yale Climate Connections does something you know I despise, namely, interjecting Hotcoldwetdry into real environmental issues. The headline is A common ingredient in Halloween candy is contributing to climate change. Of course, this is also a way for Warmists to attempt to ruin Halloween. What it’s about is the use of palm oil. I’ve noted many times that the creation of palm oil farms has led to clearcutting forests and jungles, and, beyond the normal loss of animals, birds, lizards, etc, there is the intentional slaughter of animals like orangutans. So, yes, palm oil is a real environmental issue.

Bummer: ‘Climate Change’ Is Here And Causing Major Health Concerns

Here’s the latest scareathon from the Cult of Climastrology, which is being repeated all over the “news” media. The UK Guardian, UK Independent, Chicago Tribune, HuffPost, Reuters, and so, so many more. Here’s the USA Today

Climate change’s impact on human health is already here — and is ‘potentially irreversible,’ report says

Climate change is already having an extraordinary impact on human health worldwide — affecting the spread of infectious diseases, exposing millions to air pollution and heat waves and dramatically reducing labor productivity, according to a report released Monday.

“The human symptoms of climate change are unequivocal and potentially irreversible,” the report by the British medical journal The Lancet says, and the situation is so serious that significant gains by modern medicine and technology are being undercut.

“The delayed response to climate change over the past 25 years has jeopardized human life and livelihoods,” the report says.

While most previous similar studies have covered the potential impact of climate change on future public health problems, the Lancet report goes a step further and illustrates how it is no longer a future threat but a present one.

The direct effects of climate change “result from rising temperatures and changes in the frequency and strength of storms, floods, droughts and heat waves — with physical and mental health consequences,” it says.

They are, of course, blaming this mostly/solely on Human activities which release “carbon pollution”, and the solution is …. I know you’ll be shocked … more Government!

Christiana Figueres, former executive secretary of the United Nations’ Framework Convention on Climate Change, said “the Lancet Countdown’s report lays bare the impact that climate change is having on our health today. It also shows that tackling climate change directly, unequivocally and immediately improves global health. It’s as simple as that.”

They forget to mention that Figueres (besides using lots of fossil fuels to travel around the world) is chair of the Lancet Countdown advisory board, and yet another in a long line of Warmists who demand that Government solve this. The Guardian link above is her little opinion piece on the Lancet study, where she loves that many cities are starting to ban fossil fueled vehicles in their limits, and wants the political leadership of nations to Do Something.

But, why does the name “Lancet” sound familiar? Well, they were the folks where the “half-million killed in Iraq” talking point came from. They actually were saying there were 655,000 killed, using a statistical study method that was beyond shoddy and utterly exaggerated. The “study” was a political opposition document, not a serious scientific/health one.

And we should pay credence to this new one on Hotcoldwetdry as the Iraq body count one. It’s a bunch of mule fritters looking to push lawmakers and politicians and such to enact more governmental control. That’s what the entire ‘climate change’ movement is about.

Washington Post: Trump Fumed Over Mueller Indictments Or Something

I’ll be honest, these Mueller indictments are something I really do not care about all that much. For one thing, what do they have to do with Russia Russia Russia? These allegations are all from before campaign season, and really have nothing to do with the narrative that “Russia changed the whole election!” Did the Russians keep Hillary from visiting several swing states she needed to win? Or make her insult coal country and call a massive segment of the U.S. population “deplorables”? After all these months, the charges, which may or may not be valid, show that Mueller and team spent their time not finding anything about Russia Russia Russia collusion. And they show that a Special Prosecutor with no specific directed task is simply going on expeditions.

And if John Podesta and his brother get caught up in this? While amusing to have such high profile Democrats get nailed, that would have little to do with the Russia collusion narrative.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post apparently can read minds

Upstairs at home, with the TV on, Trump fumes over Russia indictments

President Trump woke before dawn on Monday and burrowed in at the White House residence to wait for the Russia bombshell he knew was coming.

Separated from most of his West Wing staff — who fretted over why he was late getting to the Oval Office — Trump clicked on the television and spent the morning playing fuming media critic, legal analyst and crisis communications strategist, according to several people close to him.

The president digested the news of the first indictments in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s probe with exasperation and disgust, these people said. He called his lawyers repeatedly. He listened intently to cable news commentary. And, with rising irritation, he watched live footage of his onetime campaign adviser and confidant, Paul Manafort, turning himself in to the FBI. (snip)

This portrait of Trump and his White House on a day of crisis is based on interviews with 20 senior administration officials, Trump friends and key outside allies, many of whom insisted on anonymity to discuss sensitive internal matters.

None of these “people close to Trump” are named. There are also several instances of unnamed Republicans making doomy sound bites. It’s one thing to use an anonymous source to protect them, it’s quite another to manufacture salacious stories using tons of anonymous people that may not even exist. And that’s what this is. The only ones that are named are those who stood strong

“This has not been a cause of great agita or angst or activity at the White House,” said Cobb, the White House lawyer overseeing Russia matters. He added that Trump is “spending all of his time on presidential work.”

This is the problem with the media: they make allegations and pronouncements and such, but do not back it up with names. Are we just supposed to believe this without proof? Well, yes, in their world.

Initially, Trump felt vindicated. Though frustrated that the media were linking him to the indictment and tarnishing his presidency, he cheered that the charges against Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, were focused primarily on activities that began before his campaign. Trump tweeted at 10:28 a.m., “there is NO COLLUSION!”

But the president’s celebration was short-lived. A few minutes later, court documents were unsealed showing that George Papadopoulos, an unpaid foreign policy adviser on Trump’s campaign, pleaded guilty to making a false statement to the FBI about his efforts to broker a relationship between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The case provides the clearest evidence yet of links between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.

Which is also a bunch of mule fritters. Padadopoulos tried and tried and tried to set up meetings, and was constantly shot down by Team Trump. He was a low level advisor. Oh, and there was no criminal collusion. It’s, get this, not against the law to talk with people from other countries. And in this case, this doesn’t even show non-criminal collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials, just one person who wanted to show he was awesome to the Trump campaign.

Remember, most of the same people who are going on about this, are the same people who defend Hillary and her server along with selling U.S. uranium to Russia.
