Maybe they are tired of all the no go zones and rapes?
As election looms, Sweden’s government is paying immigrants to leave
Once known for its welcome to migrants, Sweden has not only shut its borders over the last decade, its right-wing government is now paying some foreign-born residents to leave, part of a tough stance on migration it hopes will help it ?secure reelection this month.
As countries across Europe clamp down on immigration, Sweden has made one of the most drastic about-turns. It took in 163,000 asylum seekers in 2015 – the second highest ?per capita in Europe. By 2025, that number had fallen 96%.
Since the start of 2026, the Swedish coalition government, which took power in 2022 on a pledge to cut immigration and crime, has been offering those with residency permits from outside the European Union up to 350,000 Swedish crowns ($37,000) if they leave the country.
The scheme is being closely watched abroad, and strongly supported by the Sweden Democrats, a far-right party that is outside the government but backs it in parliament.
“Do you miss Mogadishu? The remigration grant will help you get ?home,” reads an advert, paid for by the Sweden Democrats on a bus and aimed at Somali immigrants. The far-right party launched the adverts in July on public transport and in areas with high ?numbers of migrants as campaigning for the election began. It and the three governing coalition parties are seeking to form a four-way ruling partnership.
Remember, the government has given handbooks and lectures to new migrants multiple times about not raping. Most of the rapes over the last 10-15 years have committed by immigrants”, most of whom come from African and/or Muslim nations.
Governments and political parties across Europe ?are watching as some also consider ways to send people back. Anti-immigration rhetoric has surged since over a million people, mainly Syrians fleeing war, arrived in Europe in 2015. That has given right-wing nationalist parties a boost, pushing governments ?to adopt increasingly restrictive migration policies focused on deterrence and returns.
If citizens of those countries didn’t find it appealing they wouldn’t be voting for those politicians. The left wing ones just kept letting in and bringing migrants in, regardless of what the citizens wanted, and then the citizens finally had enough and voted for the right leaning parties.
So far this year, 171 people have taken up the offer of cash to leave. The Sweden Democrats want to extend the offer to immigrants with Swedish citizenship, if they agree to revoke it.
“That’s where you find the large numbers,” said ?Ludvig Aspling, immigration ?spokesperson for the party, highlighting those citizens who struggle to support themselves financially and speak little Swedish.
And those politicians were giving free and easy citizenship to people who couldn’t speak the language, didn’t understand the culture, and had no intention of assimilating. They expected Sweden to change to be like the 3rd world shithole/Muslim nation they came from, all while paying for everything for the migrants. It’s funny how all the Muslim ones never go to Muslim nations, eh?

Pretty much because weather happens, and sometimes it’s stronger than at other times
Many People Aren’t Connecting the Dots Between Climate Change and Extreme Weather
At the end of August, devastating floods and a debris flow triggered by a glacier collapse crashed through the valleys of Nepal, killing more than 1,300 people. Earlier this summer, deadly heat waves plagued much of the United States and Europe. Meanwhile, record-low snow levels and a long-term drought stoked wildfires across the western U.S.
It’s been a relentless summer of extremes—only the latest in a half-decade packed with record-breaking weather events. A growing body of research shows they’re becoming more frequent and severe as human-caused climate change accelerates.
Wait, I thought the science was settled all the way back in 2007? No?
But recent studies show that many people aren’t making this link in the wake of a weather disaster, a disconnect that could affect our ability to combat worsening warming. At the same time, a recent analysis found that fewer journalists are doing the kind of climate reporting that could help to close this gap. And even when hurricanes, wildfires or floods get widespread attention, it’s often not long before another story overwhelms the news cycle.
That sounds like political science, not science science. Maybe fewer journalists give a crap about the scam, and don’t see money in doing it.
For decades, scientists have been trying to grasp how people perceive extreme weather in the context of climate change. Dozens of studies, surveys and models seem to support only one consensus: It’s complicated.
“Most people do not automatically, intuitively, on their own, connect that event—a flood, a heat wave, a wildfire—to climate change,” Anthony Leiserowitz, the director of the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, told me. “Climate change is still a relatively abstract idea for many, many people.”
Basically, they’re upset that people aren’t buying what they’re selling. I wonder why

Even while trying to protect Joe Biden cBS unintentionally shows that Biden was a disaster
As Americans reflect this week on the 25 years that have passed since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, CBS News has returned to Afghanistan, where the war those attacks triggered ended five years ago with the Taliban’s stunning return to power.
When the last U.S. and allied soldiers left after a brutal two-decade war, the Taliban’s fighters seized billions of dollars worth of American-purchased military hardware. President Trump, whose first administration negotiated the deal to end the war with the Taliban, has accused the Biden administration of “totally botching” the withdrawal.
Five years later, the hardware of America’s longest-ever war is still easy to spot on the streets of Kabul. Taliban fighters patrol in armored vehicles once supplied to Afghan forces, wearing American tactical gear and carrying American weapons.
CBS News saw one Humvee in the Afghan capital still adorned with a faded Green Bay Packers decal — a remnant from its past operators.
President Trump has been fiercely critical of the former Biden administration, accusing his predecessor of allowing the U.S. military to abandon billions of dollars in military hardware. Mr. Trump has demanded that the Taliban hand it back.
See, it’s Bad that Trump is accusing Biden of stuff like this
But the Taliban has proudly shown off its American-funded arsenal, even staging military parades through Kabul’s streets.
Pentagon figures released last year show some $7 billion in hardware and weaponry fell into the group’s hands when the Afghan National Army collapsed.
So, um, yeah, Trump is 100% correct.
But critics of the Biden administration’s handling of the U.S. withdrawal say it’s allowed the Taliban to transform from insurgents into a state military force armed with billions of dollars in American-funded firepower.
They have used those weapons to impose a draconian interpretation of Islamic rule on Afghanistan’s people, almost completely depriving women and girls of the right to work and study, and restricting life for everyone in the country in ways that some analysts say are even harsher than during the group’s previous reign.
How dare those critics!!!!! And then the Credentialed Media wonders why no one trusts them and considers them heavily biased.

Did Climate Central think this through before publishing, or, are they under the (rightful) impression that the Warmists who read the screed are brainwashed morons?
Climate change fuels extreme heat, flooding and tropical threats across the U.S
Much of the United States will experience some form of climate-fueled extreme weather this week, from dangerous heat across the Central and Eastern U.S. to heavy rain and flooding threats in Texas, the Grand Canyon, and Southern California. Unusually warm ocean waters are also amplifying tropical systems and the risk of extreme rainfall, underscoring the widespread influence of human-caused climate change. (snip)
Tropical Depression Five formed over the northern Gulf of Mexico around 1 p.m. CDT Monday, August 31, and strengthened into Tropical Storm Edouard by evening. The National Weather Service is forecasting 3 to 5 inches of rain, with isolated amounts of 6 to 9 inches possible over parts of southeast and eastern Texas. Rainfall rates exceeding 3 to 4 inches per hour at times could lead to flash flooding in urban and other vulnerable areas.
A tropical depression or tropical storm could form by September 1, several hundred miles south-southwest of southwestern Mexico, potentially strengthening to a strong tropical storm or hurricane as it moves north toward Southern California through the week. Regardless of whether it makes landfall as a defined tropical system, the storm will likely bring heavy rain and extreme humidity to Southern California that would last into the following week, potentially causing flooding.
This piece was originally published August 31, but, must have been updated in some manner so that Google News picked it up as being published today. Anyhow, tropical storms happen, hurricanes happen. Oh, wait
Of course, the Warmists will Blame ‘climate change’ for the lack of tropical systems, like they’ve done before.

Will this make Democrats pro-screen addiction now, since they basically take the opposite position of everyone in the Trump admin
Here’s a question, though: is it Government’s job to do this, to deal with screen addiction?
(NY Post) A new report spearheaded by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and sent to President Trump on Tuesday suggested dozens of federal actions meant to improve kids’ health, including tackling “illegal vapes,” researching screen time “addiction” and overhauling baby formulas.
The laundry list of ideas are set to be presented to the president to inform future executive orders that will alter how the federal government researches “childhood chronic disease.”
The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission was established in February after an executive order from Trump, who gave the 71-year-old Kennedy carte blanche to remake public health in America.
Tuesday’s report identifies four main possible factors behind childhood chronic disease, including poor diet, chemical exposure, lack of physical activity and chronic stress, and over-medicalization.
Excessive use of screens is named as a contributor to lack of physical activity and chronic stress.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and HHHS will lead the charge on researching screen time as an “addiction” similar to drug and alcohol abuse — while the Surgeon General will launch a education and awareness program on the effects of children using screens.
It’s not just kids, but, adults. And not just young adults. Because I pay attention heavily to what’s going on around me I see the number of people who just can’t put the phone down. They come to a stop light and start staring. I saw one yesterday right behind me, the passenger had the phone in her face. The driver immediately started scrolling the minute they came to a stop. When it went green they were far behind because they did not go. How many times have you had to honk because the light goes green and they didn’t go?
But, is this government’s job to regulate screen addiction, except maybe procedural like when driving, and that should be a state issue, not a federal?
Illegal vaping, the report states, will be monitored by the Food and Drug Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives via a campaign that stresses the Trump administration will not allow children to gain access to vaping products.
Chinese suppliers have flooded the market with unregulated and flavored vapes, many of which are not approved by the FDA.
The vapes have been absurd for years. The amount of different products is insane. People seem to have some sort of new device constantly, some new flavor. 10 years ago most of the products were by known companies, now, who knows? And the actual liquids for vaping? Who the hell knows? Dems will be against cracking down.
The administration will “increase testing for heavy metals and other contaminants to help ensure access to high-quality and healthy infant formula sold in the United States, and encourage companies to develop new infant formulas,” the report says.
Democrats will be against this. Why? TDS.
This reminds of the Democrat scam about getting $3 in the economy for every $1 in federal money spent
Coordinated action on clean air and climate change can net $15 for every dollar spent
The assessment by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) shows how coordinated action can improve public health, strengthen economies and accelerate progress on climate goals through 25 proven measures and policy reforms.
These include using renewable energy, electric vehicles and clean fuel sources for cooking.
It comes as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) also underlined the importance of coordinated action as increased pollution from wildfires and heatwaves threatens to undermine global efforts to improve air quality,
The report finds that combining efforts produces higher returns than addressing climate change and air pollution separately, because many of the same sectors and pollutants drive both crises.
“For too long, we have treated climate action as a cost to be managed and air pollution as the unfortunate outcome of development,” said Inger Andersen, Executive Director of UNEP.
“This report shows the opposite: clean air is a key driver of development, health, food and energy security, and climate stability – an asset we must invest in.” (snip)
The report estimates that annual benefits from implementing the 25 measures would be equivalent to 2.8 per cent of global gross domestic product (GDP) in 2035, 4.5 per cent in 2050 and 11.4 per cent in 2100.
But, see, this is assuming that governments are taxing and fee-ing the heck out of citizens, and then spending it or giving it to the UN. No mention of what percent disappears into the pockets of bureaucrats, politicians, NGOs, etc.
The climate benefits would be substantial. Compared with the report’s baseline scenario, immediate implementation would halve global carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, reduce methane emissions by 60 per cent and cut major air pollutants, including black carbon, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, by around 70 per cent.
The measures would avoid approximately 0.34°C of global warming by 2050 and 1.4°C by the year 2100.
The challenge now is implementation. The report identifies fragmented decision-making, limited enforcement capacity and weak government coordination as major barriers that could delay full action by almost eight years globally.
All these years later and they still want tons of action, but, they aren’t willing to make changes in their own lives.

Wait, didn’t all the libs tell us Haiti was awesome?
Huh. So why is Frances Robles reporting in the NY Times that things are bad?
Deported From the U.S., Some Haitians Are Left Broke and Stranded
Dozens of deportees are arriving in the Haitian city of Cap Haitien weekly as the Trump administration pushes to remove Haitians who lack legal immigration status in the United States, and some are now marooned in an unfamiliar place.
More than 80 people were returned last week, often with only the U.S. government-issued sweatpants and T-shirts, and with immigration court documents stuffed in their pockets. Many returned broke, saying their valuables had disappeared during the trip and they now lacked the cash to get home.
The road out of Cap Haitien, on Haiti’s northern coast, is controlled by gangs that extract tolls from drivers and kidnap travelers. Five police officers who tried the trip by bus recently were murdered.
A day after being deported, Reginald Dorvilma, 36, sat stranded on Friday outside the Cap Haitien police station, making phone calls. He needed to find his way through gang territory to Les Cayes, his hometown on the other side of the country.
Despite all the money spent by the US, Canada, the UN, the Clinton Foundation (snicker), and others the place is a complete sh*thole, and, we brought a ton of the people who make it so into the US, but, it was always meant to be temporary.
The plight of people like Mr. Dorvilma is among the challenges facing the Haitian government as it grapples with the arrival in Cap Haitien every Thursday of returning citizens, including people who are penniless, a few who do not speak the local language, Creole, and others with criminal histories.
Whoa, whoa, we’re deporting Haitians with criminal records back? Huh. Strange that Democrats refused to take all these same people in to their own homes.
So far there aren’t any articles about this
These people are insane. And this while I was looking for an article on the above
NYAG sues to safeguard gender-affirming care
New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday joined 20 other attorneys general and the governor of Pennsylvania in suing the Trump administration over a new rule that blocks states from receiving federal Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding for gender-affirming care provided to transgender youth.
The rule, issued last month by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), prohibits Medicaid reimbursement for what is considered medically necessary health care required to treat gender dysphoria in patients under 18, and imposes similar restrictions on CHIP coverage for patients under 19, AG James’ announcement explained.
AG James and the coalition allege that CMS “exceeded its authority” by prohibiting federal reimbursement for health care that states have chosen to cover.
Insane
