Vote Coming Thursday To Strip EPA Of Greenhouse Gases Authority

Some good news in the War Against Globull Warming Idiocy

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski vowed Tuesday to strip the Environmental Protection Agency of its authority to impose new limits on the emission of greenhouse gases.

The Senate on Thursday is expected vote on a “resolution of disapproval” by Murkowski that would prevent the EPA from further regulating air pollution from vehicles and industrial facilities.

Wait, air pollution? Since when are natural gases air pollution? Only in Liberal World. So, do us a favor, True Believers, stop breathing out CO2, see how that works out for ya. Doubtful it passes, but, you never know, since Congress is rather touchy about the Executive Branch snaking power away from it

Murkowski has the bipartisan support of 40 other senators, who may disagree with each other on the scientific impact of greenhouse gases, but who all agree that such regulations should be authorized by Congress, not an executive agency.

“The EPA intends to take control of climate policy, take it away from the Congress,” Murkowski said at a press conference with eleven of her fellow Republican senators. “And I think those that are looking at this from the perspective of separate but equal branches of government look at this and say that this is absolutely unacceptable.”

Remember when Democrats constantly complained about Bush taking their power away in Congress? Something that really wasn’t happening? Obama was certainly one of those complaining about Bush’s “unilateral power”. I wonder what the White House thinks of the legislation, which CNN states will have little change in the House?

It is unclear whether there is enough support in the Senate to approve the measure, but its prospects in the House are slim. Regardless, the White House on Tuesday issued a veto threat if it makes it to President Obama’s desk.

“[The Murkowski resolution] would undermine the Administration’s efforts to reduce the negative impacts of pollution and the risks associated with environmental catastrophes, like the ongoing BP oil spill,” said a White House policy statement.

No, it would simply stop the EPA from regulating natural gases over a fake issue which has been shown time and time again to be all about politics, money, and power, rather than actual science. The EPA will still be allowed to regulate real pollution.

Sheesh. Talk about blatant theft of powers. Yet, the other branch seems to not care that they are losing power to The One. Once again, the dictator proves what he is. The “administration” has no power, no authority to regulate our atmospheric gas concentrations.

But, why let a little thing like Constitution stand in the way.
