Obama To Prosecute War Criminals

On Sunday, I read a post at Little Green Footballs regarding BHO’s plan to prosecute war criminals, which is featured on Obama’s official site, and, I agree, I do not think he means al Qaeda. I did not make the connection to something Obama said in April, but, via Memeorandum, The American Thinker did

Barack Obama’s plan for imposing unity on the nation after he takes office apparently entails a close look at war crimes trials for Bush administration officials. He has even said so in an interview with Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News.

This kind of change — putting your predecessors on trial for their conduct of policy — may not be what most Americans really want or expect from someone with Obama’s gauzy rhetoric of unity. But unity has a dark side in the hands of people who regard their opponents as criminals. America has two centuries-plus of history lacking the totalitarian practice of jailing the predecessors when a new president takes office.

This is the sort of proposal one might expect from a man steeped in Marxism at his church, from his friends like Ayers, and as a member of the Alinsky Left. But I am surprised he let this slip.

Exactly. Is this the “change” and “hope” Obama is pushing? War crimes investigations and trials for people who were fighting to protect the United States? Right now, Al Qaeda is laughing. They certainly must love the fact that those on the Left, including the presumed Donkey candidate, care more about investigating Americans then about fighting Islamic fascism.

Is it pandering to the Nutroots and hard left? Perhaps. But, perhaps not. With someone so far left, you can call him Marxist, Socialist, Fascist, Progressive, whatever, it would be no stretch to push America, with the aid of a willing Democrat Congress, into these types of investigations.

If you want this kind of insanity (along with all the other Hard Left malarkey Obama pushes), vote Obama. If you want sound, sane policy, vote McCain.
