Obama Would Only Have Stayed At Trinity For 20 More Years If Wright Had Stayed

OK, that is not really what he said pontificated, but, gee, after 20 years of listening to his mentor and almost uncle, having Wright marry Michelle and him, etc, you know the story, it is a bit hard to believe

White House hopeful Barack Obama suggests he would have left his Chicago church had his longtime pastor, whose fiery anti-American comments about U.S. foreign policy and race relations threatened Obama’s campaign, not stepped down.

“Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church,” Obama said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, “The View.” The interview will be broadcast Friday.

Quite frankly, it insults the intelligence of the American People to be told that during those 20 years of speeches and sermons, as well as personal conversations with BHO and all the publications that Wright was part of, that BHO new nothing about what Wright was preaching. And since Obama has been running most on hope, change, and his character, this issue with Wright goes directly to Obama’s character, along with his associations with other misfits, such as Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers.
