Funniest Democrat Writing of the Week And Linkfest

Tracy Russo, over at the Democrats official blog, writes this, regarding a press bloviation by Dingy Harry:

Won't it be nice to have a Senate that will actually focus on governing instead of wasting time on divisive wedge issues intended to rally an extreme right-wing base?

As I responded in the comments section, your can easily change that last bit to "left-wing base." It really hasn't been the Republicans in the Senate who have been against everything, and pontificated and blocked and threatened to filibuster. It has been the Democrats doing that.

The reality based community doesn't seem to understand that politicians are going to generally work for the people who elected them. Nor that it is the Democrats who have been the ultra partisans for years now.

And, actually, it would be nice to have a government that was completely and totally gridlocked, therefore unable to f*ck our lives up with silly laws and pork projects.

As a sidebar, Dingy Harry kinda forgot to say what their plans are, though, somehow, he seems to think that President Bush's agenda is to create socialized health care.

Can't make this stuff up!
