Pelosi Loses Second Preseason Game

In her first two preseason outings, rookie head coach Nancy Pelosi has not lived up to the expectations and hype surrounding her elevation by the San Francisco Democrats.

In her first game as head coach, she squandered a big lead with her backing of Jack Murtha in goal. Following on the heels of that deflating loss, she was forced to pass over her nominee for House Intelligence Chair, impeached Congressmen Alcee Hastings

In a decision that could roil Democratic unity in the new House, Speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi passed over Rep. Alcee Hastings Tuesday for the chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee.

Hastings, currently the No. 2 Democrat on the panel, had been aggressively making a case for the top position, supported by members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

When asked about her devastating second preseason loss, Pelosi replied "We were simply atrocious out there tonight. We couldn't pass the puck, we had no forecheck, we couldn't control the boards, and our goalie might as well have been John Kerry, considering how many he let through. I won't be starting Alcee "Mad Dog" Hasting in goal for quite some time."

Hastings, upon hearing of the slight, replied "I am obviously disappointed with this decision, but, sorry, haters, God is not finished with me yet."

Unconfirmed reports state that, during a closed door session with coach Pelosi, Hastings blew a gasket, but, again, they are unconfirmed. Fans will just have to wait and see how her next game with Silvestre Reyes from the Texas League goes.
