Now, Shah is one of the Muslims who was arrested in New York for joining Al Queda, offering to train them, etc. I had heard this myself, but had never seen anything in print till now.
This is one heck of a use for a religious symbol, don’t you think? Seems that it is Islamic tenents that are the biggest danger to their religious icons.

I am all for the American military refusing to treat mosques as legitimate targets and I insist that our soldiers respect Muslims and their religion.
However, when mosques are used as arms depots and safe houses they are no longer houses of worship but have been made houses of war. It was not Americans who desecrated holy sites, but the Islamists who have perverted what should have been a place of worship into a tool of war.
When Islamists use imaginary abuses of the Koran for propaganda purposes (and even go as far as desecrating it themselves) it is not Americans that have disrespected or mishandled their holy book, but Islamists who have made it a pawn in their war.
We as a nation cannot continue to be so naive if we are determined to succeed in this struggle. We should be respectful of other religions, of course, but we must not let our good intentions be taken advantage of.
You are very right, Jim. This has become a series with me, and I have been one or two posts so far about what they have done with their mosques. If they do not show respect, why should we?
