Bet the Language is FCC Approved

Zell and the Swift Boat Veterans are back:

For one night only, it’ll be spitballs and Swift Boats together on the same stage — a who’s who of Sen. John Kerry bashing.

The American Conservative Union on Thursday announced it has tapped Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., to present the "Courage Under Fire" award to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s Feb. 18 banquet.

I will bet my treasure chest that there will not be the language that Chevy Chase used in his recent tirade, nor that of Woopie Goldberg. It will be an adult gathering, rather then the juvenile tirades and profanity laced rants of some Democrat, or should I say, anti-Bush, supporters.

Official military records and even statements from Swift Boat veterans in Navy documents raised questions about their largely unsubstantiated claims, but the political damage had been done. At a post-election forum Wednesday in Boston, Mary Beth Cahill, Kerry’s campaign manager, said she regretted underestimating the impact of the Swift Boat ads.

Unsubstantiated? Only in the dream world the liberals and the MSM’s live in. Kerry refused to sign his Form 180 to release all his info. Kerry was a proven liar, in particular, his speech on the Senate floor about how his trip into Cambodia was seared into his brain. I shall nor retrace all the info that came out. It has been done to death. I will just say "Thank You" to the SBV’s for doing their duty.

Democrats shrugged off the choices of both honorees and presenter.

"It seems fitting that a Republican in Democratic clothing is recognizing the work of Republican agents, namely the smears that the Swift Boat veterans launched against John Kerry," said Jano Cabrera, spokesman for the Democratic National Committee.

Smears? The MSM’s and other Democratic shills tried to smear the President over his Texas Air National Guard service, saying he was AWOL. That was proven false, yet they never recanted. Nor did the majority of the MSM’s investigate whether the SBV’s allegations were true. Rather then showing journalistic integrity, they attacked the SBV’s. We have MoveOn.org and other Democratic organizations constantly attacking the President personally, with malice, with unproven allegations. Just another case of Demoratic "do as I say, not as I do."

Either way, this will be a great recognition of Zell and the Swift Boat Vets, among others, which is a well deserved honor.

I am thankful these honorable men are being recognized. Zell Miller is a great choice.

  2. AWOL was never proven false, SBVT charges were never proven true.

    Who’s in dreamworld here?

  3. matt says:

    pusillanimous wanker:
The difference is that there were MANY eye witnesses in the SBVT. All but 2 of the remaining swift boat vets in that picture claimed these accusations were true. If this had been a republican in the spotlight, the media would have completely destroyed him – claiming no more proof was necessary.

    Who’s the sore loser here?

  4. AWOL was disproven, especially since, to be technical, TANG members couldn’t be AWOL. No provision for that. Furthermore, you had over 200 SBV’s making statements, Kerry’s biographer not able to fully verify what Kerry said, Kerry lying about Cambodia, and some of those vets were guys who served right there on the same boat as Kerry.

    PW,

Tell me just one time he was really in Cambodia. I just want to hear you back up the admitted lie. Yes, he admitted that he lied.

    ….

Now don’t go on some ignorant rant about how he atleast had thr courage to admit he was wrong because that line is absolute crap as well and you know it.

Now don’t go on some ignorant rant about how he at least had the courage to admit he was wrong because that line is absolute crap and you know it. We are no longer making comparisons.

Defend the candidate for himself, not what someone else did. If I follwoed that rule I could be raping and dumping young women. “Well Ted Kennedy did it and got away with it too!”

I really thought all of this pointless BS was over.

    Guess not!
