I posted about Philip Gourevitch’s and Erroll Morris’s superb and disturbing recent piece on Abu Ghraib here. What it shows once again is how Abu Ghraib was never, ever an exception. It was permitted, enabled, authorized and pre-meditated by Bush, Cheney, Yoo, Rumsfeld, Miller, and Addington, among many others. The techniques testified to correspond with chilling accuracy to techniques authorized by the president, for which we now have overwhelming evidence. Scott Horton reminds us what exactly some of the techniques were:

All which, when done properly, remind me of what the Rugby team members at East Carolina U did to each other. Hell, I have seen and heard of them doing worse. Funny how Andy rarely rails against the Muslims groups who killed 3,000 of our citizens, want Sharia law and to destroy Western civilization, kill Americans, and, you know where I am going.

A true conservative follows the law and is still able to protect this country. Just look at our military. They are not authorized to use these techniques and yet they are still able to gain the information they need to protect our soldiers and defeat al-Qaeda.

Who in their right mind is still talking about this besides him? They gave that a 33 day front-page story(ies), and not one story about the progress we are making. For shame! The Fifth Column should be indicted for war crimes against America! (Sorry, I just get so sick of them. I lose my cool once in a bit, but then I’m okay again. 😉 )

Teach, are you calling soldiers in the United States Army liberals? I guess anyone that disagrees with you is by definition a “liberal.†The fact is this is not a liberal vs. conservative issue. It is a moral issue and thankfully our soldiers are on the right side. It’s unfortunate you’re not.
