Good Thing Barry Wants To Run Washington With Change

Will Webster’s be updating their entry for change to “doing things the same old way?”

A second Emanuel is heading for the White House.

Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a prominent bioethicist at the National Institutes of Health–and the brother of incoming White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel–will serve as a senior counselor at the White House Office of Management and Budget on health policy, two Democratic officials said Thursday.

Cough*nepotism*cough.

Can you imagine if GWB had brought on a relative in such a manner. The Left’s enmity would have over-flowed, and they would have ramped their seething factor to at least an 8 (remember, a 1 on the seething scale is their normal constant outrage.) Here, eh.

BTW, what the hell is a bioethicist? Is that actually a real job, or, is it one of those made up positions that Liberals constantly come up with so they do not really have to work for a living, but, can spread their lunacy and political viewpoints? Ready the Wikipedia entry, sounds more like the job of “performance artist.” Someone who has no skills in actual art, so, they fake it.

What is a “retail manager in the communications industry”? Is that actually a real job, or, is it one of those made up positions that wingnuts constantly come up with so they do not really have to work for a living, but, can spread their lunacy and political viewpoints?

Ken, tbati just pawned you, bub.

No, Bill, that is a job that allows folks to walk around screaming into their mobile phones so they do not have to sit around screaming in to their home phones. And one of the few that continues to be a growth industry.

Bill (can I call you Bill?), are you gay? Because you certainly look gay in your picture. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course, but I was just wondering.

Bill, I was not making snark at you, bub, regarding phones.

James, no, you can’t call be Bill. Most people who know me on the ‘net refer to me as Teach. And, no, not gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Why is Captain Kirk trying to pick-up other men on this website? I thought this was a conservative site…..are you guys with the Log Cabin Republicans or just float both ways?

I always thought pirates were a little TOO flamboyant….!

Actually, Captain Kirk propositioning a pirate is pretty much the epitome of what I expect to encounter on the internet.

Actually, Teach, clueless wingnut blogger also seems to be a growth industry… so congratulations on taking ALL the good jobs.

Also, stupid: YOU were “pawned” (sic) in the very first comment, and you just don’t have the balls to admit it.

Ken was right; the self-parody of wingnuts is endlessly amusing.

William Teach:

It appears you have failed to understand what Ken was saying in the very first comment: Your cries of “nepotism” are quite empty when compared to those engaged in with the BushCo administration. Your further claim of rabid liberal raging over such a thing was also dealt a blow with the publication of the BushCo examples: With the possible minor exception of Colin Powell’s son Michael being installed as chairman of the FCC, almost nothing was mentioned from the left regarding the conservative nepotism (probably because the “seething liberal left” expect nothing else from conservatives). That you feel this only strengthens your point goes well beyond ludicrous.

And yes, bioethicist is a very real job – you would do well to not bring shame upon yourself by emphasizing your ignorance of the actual work involved, as well as the qualifications required.

All this and not once did I call you names! Joy!

Great post!! Obama sure has one HELL of a nerve, doesn’t he? A Republican like Bush would never do anything like that:

* Vice President Dick Cheney’s son-in-law, Philip Perry: Deputy Attorney General.
* Dick Cheney’s daughter Liz Cheney: Deputy Assistant Secretary of State.
* Secretary of State Colin Powell’s son, Michael Powell: Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
* Budget Director Mitchell Daniels’ sister Deborah Daniels: Assistant Attorney General.

Bill, be a man. You’re a masculine pirate, no? Yohoho, and all that. No one’s hurling insults; you drew first blood by making a ludicrous claim and insulting “the Left,” it was proven ludicrous and you then failed to respond. Stoopid is as stoopid does, and you really are teh stoopid. I say that in a respectful and collegial way. (If you want to see insulting comments, go visit Michelle Malkinwald’s or David Horowitz’s cesspools.) But back to the issue itself: Do you stick to your claims in the post after being presented with the evidence of the first comment? We’re waiting. Chirp.

Marty, you are missing the point. Obama said he was going to be a different politician, do things differently, change Washington, yet, this is yet another case that he is just the same old type of politician.

I have no problem with politicians appointing relatives and friends, if they are remotely qualified, and that is just old school politics. Barry said he was different. Of course, that is just a load of cow patties.

And, yes, Richard, I still stick to my claim. You are the folks who built Obama up in to some sort of modern day political messiah, yet, just more of the same.

“Marty, you are missing the point. Obama said he was going to be a different politician, do things differently, change Washington, yet, this is yet another case that he is just the same old type of politician.”

Wait a minute. Was that the point? Let’s roll tape: “Can you imagine if GWB had brought on a relative in such a manner. The Left’s enmity would have over-flowed, and they would have ramped their seething factor to at least an 8 (remember, a 1 on the seething scale is their normal constant outrage.) Here, eh.”

It appears “the point” is that “The Left” is giving Obama a pass where they never gave Bush one. Fail then to both the original point and the attempt to change points midstream.

Shochu, there were many reports during the Bush presidency, not too mention blog posts, complaining about Bush appointing people in a nepotistic way (yeah, I know, not a word.) Obama promised to change Washington, yet, he is just doing the same old same old.
