And NBC News to not have something silly, right? Maybe not

Republicans like Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell quickly released statements praising Ginsburg’s life and legacy. Yet, they stand now prepared to trample it.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died. Senate Republicans, don’t make us bury our faith in government along with her.

Ginsburg’s death, and the vacancy she leaves on the Supreme Court, comes at a surreal moment in an already uncanny election. Supreme Court justices are enormously powerful and have lifetime appointments. They wield tremendous power in our democracy but they are not democratically elected. Even in normal times, their deaths or retirements spark a macabre guessing game about who will replace them. But these are not normal times, and the sitting president should not nominate Ginsburg’s replacement.

No, they are not democratically elected. Because we aren’t a democracy. Is it really necessary to mention that we are a Constitutional Republic? How does a law school professor not know this?

If the past is prologue, President Donald Trump, with a shameful assist by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., will fill the new vacancy on the court with record-breaking speed. McConnell has made clear that he intends to do just that. The Kentucky senator has made confirming federal judges and filling the judiciary with conservative jurists one of his biggest priorities.

This has been done numerous times.

McConnell and Trump have both made statements praising Ginsburg’s life and legacy. Yet, they stand now prepared to trample it. On her deathbed, Ginsburg said, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Did she actually say that, or did her granddaughter just say she said it, trying to invoke Article III, Section 4, the Dying Wish Clause? It matters not. The way that pesky Constitution works the duly elected president gets to nominate a Supreme Court Justice, and the Senate can choose to confirm or deny. They can choose to take up the nominee or not.

What would a Supreme Court dominated by conservatives mean? It will likely mean, among other things, the expansion of gun owners’ rights but the whittling away of protections for voters, women seeking to obtain access to an abortion, LGBTQ Americans seeking freedom from discrimination and immigrants seeking basic rights in this country. Or perhaps to put it in even starker terms: It could soon be a particularly precarious time for women and minorities in America.

In other words, Democrats are worried that the Court will back the Constitution, provide equal rights to all, rather than giving some more rights than others, respect the laws and sovereignty of the United States, and, really, probably nothing on abortion. It says something about a political party that their biggest concern is to continue protecting the ability to murder the unborn because some people are too lazy to use proper birth control when they have sex.

In the end, we mourn Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg not just because of the legacy she leaves behind, but because of what her death means for our country going forward. Her life’s work is likely to unravel and so is the legitimacy of our governmental institutions if Trump and McConnell press on with their plan to fill this seat.

Donald Trump Threatens To Sign Executive Order Disqualifying Joe Biden From Running For President

Donald Trump spoke in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Saturday night where he told voters that he might sign an executive order disqualifying Joe Biden from running as his opponent in the upcoming 2020 race. As video posted to YouTube by Trump’s team shows, the president also accused Biden of getting performance-enhancing drugs shot into his rear.

“We can joke, we can play games, we can have fun. You can’t have this guy as your president,” Trump said. “You can’t have — maybe I’ll sign an executive order, you cannot have him as your president.”

The crowd cheered loudly at the suggestion.

It’s a threat, you guys!!!!!!!

Trump also expanded on his often-repeated suggestion that Biden is taking drugs to enhance his mental performance before giving a speech. (snip through this so-called news org providing cover for Biden’s mental decline)

There is no evidence for Trump’s claims about Biden, nor is there precedent that he can sign an executive order eliminating his opponent from the race.

Good grief. The latter was a joke. It got a laugh from the crowd, and it causes Democrats and their pet media to become apoplectic.

Democrats Have Hissy Fit, Threaten To Pack The Supreme Court

It’s not the first time, they’ve threatened to pack the Supreme Court back in 2018 and 2019, because they’re sore losers.

Democrats Threaten To Pack Court If Republicans Vote On Ginsburg Replacement This Year

Prominent Democrats are threatening to expand the size of the Supreme Court to cancel out President Donald Trump’s court picks if Republicans vote on late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s replacement this year.

Left-wing activists have been pushing Democratic politicians to endorse court-packing since Justice Anthony Kennedy’s 2018 retirement cleared the way for Justice Brett Kavanaugh to join the high court. Some congressional Democrats embraced the idea following Ginsburg’s death Friday night.

“If Sen. McConnell and @SenateGOP were to force through a nominee during the lame duck session—before a new Senate and President can take office—then the incoming Senate should immediately move to expand the Supreme Court,” House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler wrote on Twitter Saturday.

“Filling the SCOTUS vacancy during a lame duck session, after the American people have voted for new leadership, is undemocratic and a clear violation of the public trust in elected officials,” added Nadler, a Democrat from New York.

“Congress would have to act and expanding the court would be the right place to start,” he said.

“If he holds a vote in 2020, we pack the court in 2021,” Democratic Mass. Rep. Joe Kennedy tweeted on Saturday. “It’s that simple.”

Well, not that simple. They’d have to pass a new law to do so, and the last time they tried back in 1937 because they were pissed off they lost a Court ruling it didn’t go so well for them. FDR tried to use all sorts of flowery language at the time to do it, and American citizens were not biting. Seriously, we’re still operating under the Judiciary Act of 1869 for having nine Justices.

You have all sorts of Dems, including Ed Markey, Chuck Schumer, Richard Blumenthal, and so many more having a breakdown, threatening to pack the court, and they should remember that if they win and manage to do it, they won’t always be in power. A GOP congress and President could reverse the law, fill the court with conservatives, pass a law to pack it more.

Republican Tennessee Rep. Chuck Fleischmann warned that packing the court would be “dangerous” and undermine the court as an institution.

“Court packing is a dangerous and shortsighted idea that will delegitimize our institutions — and that’s what the Dems are threatening to do if they don’t get their way,” Fleischmann wrote in a tweet.

Democrats do not care: it’s all about power, and forcing citizens to act and think in a certain way.

(Breitbart) On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” Senate Judiciary Committee member Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) stated that voting on D.C. statehood and Puerto Rico statehood, expanding the size of the Supreme Court, and eliminating the filibuster will be “on the agenda” in discussions among Senate Democrats on how to handle Republicans moving forward with filling Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat.

Hirono said, “There will be a conference call. But a lot of us are already thinking about what we can do, whatever tools we have. But at the same time, what’s really important is for everyone out there for whom Ruth Bader Ginsburg meant something…that they need to be parallel organizing. I know they’re already doing that. And everybody better vote. … In the meantime, we are going to explore every avenue to stop Mitch McConnell from stealing yet another Supreme Court seat.”

Apparently, having riots isn’t working for them. Bunch of sore losers.

President Donald Trump summed up his global warming mitigation strategy in just seven words, spoken days before the rest of the world kicks off Climate Week on Monday.

So, really, this is mostly about whining about Trump, eh? As for Climate Week, I’m pretty darned informed as to what is going on with the Cult of Climastrology, and have never heard this, nor do I see other climate realists mentioning. Or Warmists. If it’s so important, why does no one seem to know about it? Anyhow, after lots of TDS, finally we get Handsy Joe

Democratic challenger Joe Biden is indisputably more committed to burning less fossil fuel and using nature’s limitless energy from the sun and wind. What’s up for debate is how fast he’ll move and whether he can rally public support to succeed.

Biden suffers from the moderate’s curse, buffeted by impatient environmental activists on the left and middle-class workers worried about jobs and energy costs to his right. No policy will be without winners and losers. (snip)

Biden has an actual energy policy to use available lower-carbon resources until he can rally Americans to spend trillions of dollars to put people back to work building an advanced energy grid. One promises life support for dying industries, while one wishes to move forward pragmatically.

Of course, if you do not believe the climate is changing, or that humans can do anything to slow it, then your choice is only slightly more difficult. The United States can either lead the world in energy innovation or fall inextricably behind, which is not much of a choice if you care about the country’s future.

Joe’s plan is what? To force the peasants to buy $35K and up EVs or ride the bus/train? Bike to work? Walk like it’s 1780? Make the energy situation in the country like California, with rolling planned and unplanned blackouts and brownouts? It’s not really much of a plan, just platitudes

(Breitbart) During a town hall on CNN on Thursday, 2020 Democratic presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden said that he doesn’t think that the Green New Deal is “too much” but that he has his “own deal” that he has laid out.

Biden was asked by a participant in the town hall, “Are you a firm supporter of the Green New Deal, and how [will you] make sure our communities are protected?”

Biden responded, “I have laid out in detail what I’ll do.”

After Biden discussed his plan and ambitions, host Anderson Cooper asked, “Let me just jump in though, she was asking about the Green New Deal. Do you back that or do you think it’s too much?”

Biden responded, “I don’t think it’s too much. I have my own deal. I’ve laid it out in great detail. The Democratic Party’s adopted it as a platform.”

When will Joe lead the way and give up his own use of fossil fuels and make all the other Democrats do the same?

Los Angeles School System Has Plan To Remove All Police Officers From Schools

A dramatically diminished L.A. school police force under proposed cuts

Two months after a divided Los Angeles Unified school board slashed funding for its police department by more than a third, the contours of a dramatically diminished force emerged this week.

Under a plan presented to the board on Tuesday, police officers would be removed from school campuses and weekend patrols meant to protect schools from vandalism would be eliminated, among other cuts.

The debate over the proposed cuts, set for later this month, marks a wide split on the board over the role that armed, uniformed officers should play in providing security to hundreds of thousands of students enrolled at more than 900 campuses.

This would work out well, wouldn’t you say? Vandalized schools, graffiti everywhere, fights all over the place, theft, weapons being carried, kids blowing off teachers and wandering the halls, drugs everywhere, large groups of kids beating on individuals. Hey, every Modern Socialist initiative needs an experimental group, right? We can see the results of their ideas.

And in a signal of how unresolved the issue remains for many, a district task force said it intends to survey high school students, parents and employees around the district to evaluate opinions on school police.

It’ll be interesting to see how that works out, right? The more criminal kids and the cop hating parents from bad neighborhoods voting against the police, those from good schools voting for. And, what of employees? The dogmatic ones will be against police, no matter how dangerous their schools are, the realistic ones wanting police.

George McKenna, the board’s lone Black member, said he strongly supports efforts to end police brutality but believes school police are being unfairly maligned.

“The school police were never a danger to the students,” McKenna said. “Are you under the assumption that there are no Crips, no Bloods, [that] there are no gangs out there and we’re going to do this with social workers?”

He added: “I’ll invite you to the first funeral that we have to have of a child [because] we don’t have anyone protecting them on that campus.”

But, Modern Socialists and the BLM folks have a narrative, George, and they will Cancel you if you keep this up.

CNN: All The Carbon Pollution Reductions During Lockdown Didn’t Make A Difference Or Something

CNN is kinda giving up the game with their spin, basically saying that reducing carbon dioxide doesn’t matter

The pandemic didn’t solve climate change. This week’s disasters are proof

If you thought Covid-19 restrictions, like enforced lockdowns and social distancing, would put a lasting dent in our collective carbon footprint and save the world from warming, you were mistaken.

Earlier this year, in the midst of a horrific news cycle and a rapidly mounting death toll, that notion was a welcome silver lining to the pandemic.

As people around the world stayed at home to stop the spread of the coronavirus, greenhouse gas emissions from the energy and transport industries plummeted, dropping to record lows.

But it may have given some a false sense that the worst effects of climate change were being mitigated.

They’re not.

So, of course, they blame all the fires (which were set mostly by humans, accidentally and on purpose), tropical storms (which have always happened), and glacier breakup (it’s called an interglacial period for a reason) on you driving a fossil fueled vehicle and eating a hamburger.

All of these extreme weather events can be linked to global warming, caused by rising levels of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mainly from humans burning fossil fuels.

If there was a huge drop in CO2 output during lockdown, shouldn’t there be some change noticed if, as they say, CO2 is the control knob?

The climate change that we’re experiencing today — evidenced by extreme weather events like the West Coast wildfires — is the net result of our cumulative emissions since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

So, even if annual carbon emissions go down in any given year, as they have during the pandemic, as long as we are adding greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the planet will continue to warm.

See? There’s always some Excuse. If the weather people at CNN (this is in the straight weather section) really care, they’d demand CNN stop using fossil fuels to gather and disseminate the news

Under the 2015 Paris climate accord, countries committed to reduce their carbon output and halt global warming below 2 degrees Celsius — and if possible, below 1.5 degrees Celsius — to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Trump announced in 2017 he would pull the US out of the accord, a move that that will lead to a complete withdrawal just after this year’s presidential election.

But, this is written as an opinion piece, because you know they want Biden to win, and this is advocating that. Because this whole movement is a doomsday political cult.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg Dead At 87: McConnell Promises Quick Vote On Replacement

McConnell: Trump’s Supreme Court nominee ‘will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said unequivocally Friday night that President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to fill the vacancy of late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg “will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”

Ginsburg, 87, died Friday from complications surrounding metastatic pancreas cancer.

“The Senate and the nation mourn the sudden passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life,” McConnell said in a statement Friday.

“In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president’s second term. We kept our promise,” McConnell continued. “Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year.”

McConnell added that “by contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary.”

“Once again, we will keep our promise,” he said. “President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”

Gauntlet thrown down, eh? McConnell knows that there is no possible way to do this before the election. There would be no time for hearings, and too many are campaigning to do it properly. Plus you have crazies like Susan Collins who is doing her RINO stuff already. Win or lose, Senate and or President, they can do it after the election. McConnell could lose Collins and Romney, who would show their true leanings, and even one more GOP senator for the vote, with Pence giving the tie breaking vote to install a Trump pick.

Ruth herself went a little unhinged prior to her passing

Vox notes that Ginsburg had her last word on Trump last year, admitting during a talk on stage at Amherst College that she thought Trump was “an aberration.” That’s what we all hope against hope, right?

As NPR reports, Ginsburg reportedly dictated a statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera a few days before her death saying, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

But, really, what McConnell is doing is reminding people why elections are important. If Biden wins and gets his pick, the nature of the court doesn’t change. But, just imagine replacing RBG with a stalwart Constitutionalist justice, which would keep the court from being nutty leftist for decades to come. McConnell wants this fight, he wants the media focused on it, he wants squishy Republicans, Independents, and even old school Democrats who aren’t unhinged Leftists to talk about this and understand what’s at stake for this election.

And he’ll be happy if this exposes Democrats for the unhinged, violent tools they are
