160 Counties Have More Registered To Vote Than Eligible Voters

Yet another reason as to the need for voters to present ID at the poll

(The Blaze) A nonpartisan election integrity group has sent legal notices to 160 counties across the U.S. that it says have more voters on its registration rolls than actual live, eligible voters — and thus represent potential hotbeds for election fraud, the organization told TheBlaze exclusively.

The Houston-based True the Vote said the counties may be in violation of Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act, which mandates that election officials maintain clean voter rolls by removing people who have died, moved away or are no longer eligible to vote. True the Vote is demanding each of the counties show proof of compliance or they’ll bring civil suit.

The counties in question are spread across 19 states that together account for 203 electoral college votes, including six current battleground states. Among the counties are LaSalle, Ill., which True the Vote identified as having 520 percent voter registration; Jefferson, Miss. with more than 230 percent; and Hanson, S.D. with 165 percent.

Surely, some of this can be explained away as simple errors, but the main question is “how much is intentional?” How many are dead, pets, felons, illegals, and others not eligible to vote? How many are duplicate registrations? True The Vote is demanding that these counties take proper actions to clean their voter rolls, as this rolls currently violate Section 8 of the NVRA.

Meanwhile, Chicago Values See 4 Dead, 25 Wounded Over Weekend

Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values.

Meanwhile, as Barack Obama celebrated his birthday….strange that I can’t find any stories, even at Organizing for America, about who won the contest to attend Barry’s birthday bash by donating $3….Chicago values were on display

(Chicago Sun Times) Four people are dead and at least 25 people wounded in acts of violence that have occurred around the city this weekend.

The weekend’s first fatality occurred early Saturday when a 20-year-old man was beaten and stabbed outside a gas station in the River North area early Saturday. A man who had recently moved to Chicago from Puerto Rico was stabbed to death in a fight with a group of people.

About 3:45 a.m. Saturday, 20-year-old Eric Lopez, was with some other people in a van at the BP gas station at LaSalle and Ontario. A “party bus” pulled into the gas station, gang signs were flashed, and a physical altercation ensued, a law enforcement source said.

The van drove off and the man fled on foot with people from the party bus following him on foot. When the others in the van noticed that he was not in the van with them, they turned back and found the man in the 600 block of North LaSalle Street, suffering from multiple stab wounds, the source said.

A relative of his, a 17-year-old boy, was also stabbed at that location and suffered multiple lacerations, according to police. The boy was treated at a Northwestern Memorial Hospital and released.

The story continues on and on and on about the people who were wounded and killed over the weekend. Gotta love those Chicago values!

Will GOP Get Personal With Pederast Harry Reid Over Tax Comments?

I have multiple unnamed sources which have informed me that Harry Reid (D-Nevada) likes to wear Hello Kitty thongs while addressing the Senate, along with being a pederast. It’s up to Reid to prove the allegations wrong. And, Reid just might find himself on the wrong end of this fight, as the GOP digs up real dirt, dirt that includes facts about Reid that he probably won’t want out in the public domain

(Politico) The Sunday news shows featured a rare spectacle that at once revealed the decline of civility in Washington and the depth of GOP outrage over Harry Reid’s unproven claim that Mitt Romney didn’t pay income taxes for an entire decade: two of the nation’s top GOP officials flat out called the Senate majority leader a liar.

That’s no ordinary criticism in official Washington.

There are plenty of other ways that pols use to call out their partisan rivals on their statements. Reid’s GOP counterpart, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, for one, has already said Reid’s charge is “beneath the dignity” of his office.

But the actual term ‘liar’ crosses a line that’s seldom breached, signaling a widespread GOP belief that, even by the diminished standards of contemporary political debate, Reid has violated a code.

Lindsay Graham called Reid a liar, and Reince Preibus said

“As far as Harry Reid is concerned, listen, you might want to go down that road, I’m not going to respond to a dirty liar, who hasn’t filed a single page of tax returns himself,” Priebus said on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos. “He complains about money but lives in the Ritz Carlton here, down the street. If this is on the agenda, I’m not going to go there. This is just a made-up issue. The fact that we’re going to spend any time talking about it is just ridiculous.”

It’s a total made up issue. Exactly what is the reason behind wanting Romney’s tax returns? What will that prove? That he’s rich? That he, like many rich people, spreads his money to overseas accounts to avoid getting nailed on taxes? One of the Democrats favorite Senators, Ted Kennedy, received his money from an overseas trust fund. Where’s the outrage? Otherwise, what’s the point? Perhaps a Liberal can explain what’s so darned important about the returns.

Now, though, the GOP has indicated it plans to make it personal. Between the loaded language and Priebus’s pointed reference to Reid’s Ritz-Carlton abode – an issue that surfaced in the senator’s 2010 re-election campaign – Republicans just sent the clearest signal to Reid yet that he needs to either produce the evidence, stand down or prepare for an extended public discussion of his own finances.

Ed Morrissey has already reposted an article about Reid’s finances, and plans on posting more. You can bet that the GOP has plenty of information on Harry Reid, and probably Obama, that they can use. The Romney camp didn’t want to get into personal smears this cycle, but, Team Obama might force the issue.

Tell you what: if Obama removes his Executive Privilege from the Fast and Furious documents, I’ll call for Romney to release his returns. Sound fair?

“Harry Reid made a statement that is true. Somebody told him. It is a fact,” Pelosi told The Huffington Post in a Sunday interview. “Whether he did or not can easily be disposed of: Mitt Romney can release his tax returns and show whether he paid taxes.”

In Democrat World, a person Republican is guilty till proven innocent. Unless one is a mastermind of 9/11, then they need every protection provided by the law. Anyway, Queen Nancy misses the part about facts being things that people can see, not assumptions by unnamed people. Oh, and how did Nancy become so rich on a Congressional salary? Let’s see her tax returns.

King Barack Mulls Executive Order After Cybersecurity Defeat

Another end run around the duly appointed Legislative Branch?

(The Hill) Senate Republicans recently blocked cybersecurity legislation, but the issue might not be dead after all.

The White House hasn’t ruled out issuing an executive order to strengthen the nation’s defenses against cyber attacks if Congress refuses to act.

“In the wake of Congressional inaction and Republican stall tactics, unfortunately, we will continue to be hamstrung by outdated and inadequate statutory authorities that the legislation would have fixed,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said in an emailed response to whether the president is considering a cybersecurity order.

“Moving forward, the President is determined to do absolutely everything we can to better protect our nation against today’s cyber threats and we will do that,” Carney said.

Can he do this? Partly, because many IT companies are already heavily regulated by law. The question is “will he take more power for the Executive Branch?” Liberals should remember that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

James Hansen Blames Every Weather Event On Hotcoldwetdry

It’s humorous that James Hansen, who makes quite a bit of money from pushing “climate change’, an inexact and unscientific term, gets the sympathetic Washington Post (which kills lots of trees every year to publish their papers) to publish an op-ed piece even before the actual scientific paper is published…..oh, and per Warmist dogma, we aren’t supposed to listen to Hansen, because he doesn’t have a degree in climate science

(Washington Post) When I testified before the Senate in the hot summer of 1988 , I warned of the kind of future that climate change would bring to us and our planet. I painted a grim picture of the consequences of steadily increasing temperatures, driven by mankind’s use of fossil fuels.

Back then he used the term global warming, because he thought it would get hot. Too bad there has been no statistically significant warming since 1998 despite an increase in CO2. He did not predict that.

But I have a confession to make: I was too optimistic.

Keep the money train a rollin’

My projections about increasing global temperature have been proved true. But I failed to fully explore how quickly that average rise would drive an increase in extreme weather.

Don’t worry, because his paper is going to retroactively create that prognostication

In a new analysis of the past six decades of global temperatures, which will be published Monday, my colleagues and I have revealed a stunning increase in the frequency of extremely hot summers, with deeply troubling ramifications for not only our future but also for our present.

Yet, extremely hot summers were worse during the 1930’s when CO2 was well below 350ppm, and said summers were effecting the planet, not just small parts. During this hot summer (shocking that summer would be hot, eh? That never happened before 1980), tiny portions of the Northern landmass are effected, while most places are actually seeing cooler than usual summers.

This is not a climate model or a prediction but actual observations of weather events and temperatures that have happened. Our analysis shows that it is no longer enough to say that global warming will increase the likelihood of extreme weather and to repeat the caveat that no individual weather event can be directly linked to climate change. To the contrary, our analysis shows that, for the extreme hot weather of the recent past, there is virtually no explanation other than climate change.

What he means is “caused by Mankind”. Every Warmist who believes this mule fritters should immediately give up their fossil fueled travel, stop using an ice maker in their fridge, make sure that they use no power from coal sources, purchase solar panels for their homes, unplug every appliance when not in use, purchase $50 LED bulbs, and only “buy local.” There are other measures they can take, but, why mention them? Warmists won’t do anything within their own lives.

The deadly European heat wave of 2003, the fiery Russian heat wave of 2010 and catastrophic droughts in Texas and Oklahoma last year can each be attributed to climate change. And once the data are gathered in a few weeks’ time, it’s likely that the same will be true for the extremely hot summer the United States is suffering through right now.

Strange that all those happened when the temperatures have been essentially flatlined. Of course, pretty much every actual scientist stated that the Russian heat wave was not a result of global warming, but, atmospheric blocking. I’m sure Hansen will find a way to blame that on “climate change.” He’s found a way to blame every weather event on it. Despite not know what the weather was like during previous warm (and warmer) periods.

His solution this? Carbon offsets, nailing the fossil fuel companies and then giving a rebate to individuals to offset the rising power, because then….something might possibly sorta happen. Wouldn’t stop anything, but, would surely make Hansen some cash. Perhaps Hansen can explain all the periodic cycles that have been occurring since the end of the last glacial period, and why there were multiple warm periods prior to this one, warm periods between cool periods. And why a huge tree ring study shows cooling overall over the last 4,000 years. Oh, and why he takes so many fossil fueled flights.
