Romney Reminds People About Obama’s Greek Columns

…and for a good reason. Though, somehow, it’s probably raaaaacist

(Washington Times) Mitt Romney, routinely dismissed as a bit stiff and humorless on the stump, is suddenly cracking up his campaign trail crowds.

On Saturday, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate delighted supporters at a rally in Powell, Ohio, with a Greek-themed jibe at President Obama.

After hearing some pro-Obama hecklers in the audience, the former Massachusetts governor fired back:

“This is kinda like the Greek chorus in the background,” he said, referring to the protesters.

“It reminds me of Obama’s address four years ago in Denver. Remember, he was speaking in front of those Greek columns? … Everything they do reminds us of Greece and we’re not going back Greece, we’re going to get America back to being America,” he said as the crowd roared its approval.

Oh, come on, Mitt, we’re not that bad. 8.3% unemployment nationally, only 3 states with a real unemployment rate under 10%, $5+ trillion in new debt, $220 trillion in liabilities, housing still in the toilet, wages and savings way down…..hmm, maybe we are pretty close. Fortunately, Obama has a plan for this. He won’t really lay it out, but we’ve watched it for well over 3 years. It’s called “Spend Other People’s Money To Reward Campaign Donors And Liberal Support Groups.”

He wants to add “tax the hell out of people” to the mix, so he can spend even more to achieve….8.3% unemployment, people abandoning the jobs market in despair, more trillion dollar + deficits, and, really, you should just bask in Obama’s greatness instead of whining about all your own misery, you darned raaaaacists.

Good Grief: Now Climate Change Is To Blame For Violent Crime

They really can’t help themselves

(Washington Post) After this summer’s many shooting incidents — the massacre in Aurora, Colo., followed by attacks near Texas A&M, at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin, at the Family Research Council in Washington and at the Empire State Building on Friday — Americans have pondered possible explanations. Gun laws. Psychological problems. Economic distress.

Consider one more. July was, after all, the hottest month on record (WT-except, it really wasn’t) Might higher temperatures and global warming spur more violent crime?

“There is good reason to believe that climate change will become one of the major forces driving crime as the century progresses,” Emory University sociologist Robert Agnew writes in “Dire Forecast: A Theoretical Model of the Impact of Climate Change on Crime,” a study published in Theoretical Criminology last year. Citing droughts, famine and extreme weather, Agnew predicts that “as individuals, groups, and states struggle to cope with the effects of climate change, their ability to legally adapt to further effects will decline.”

Anyhow, supposedly when the temps hit 90F and above, violent crime goes down. What we’re looking at is a nebulous relationship between crime and temperature. Especially since most violent crimes occur during the night time, when temps are down. But, hey, anything to continue to push the cult of climate change.

Report Finds Christians Under Assault From Government And Secular Groups

(Fox News) A new report by the Family Research Council and the Liberty Institute claims that there’s been a rising pattern of hostility toward Christians in America over the past decade.

The 140-page “Survey of Religious Hostility in America,” prepared by the Liberty Institute and the Family Research Council, highlighted more than 600 examples illustrating what it characterized as religious animosity shown by judges, government bureaucrats, schools and secular groups. From ObamaCare mandates that force religious entities to pay for contraception, to children being punished for uttering prayers in school, the report’s findings shocked even those who commissioned it.

“It’s a conflict of world views,” Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, told FoxNews.com. “These groups want people to check their faith at the door of the public square.”

There’s no doubt that those who practice Christianity are under assault, with the intention to make sure that Christian religious views have no place out in public. Hence the terming of Christian groups who espouse their opinions as “hate groups” from those who have a different view, and attempt to shut down free speech and put those Christian groups on the defensive.

One critic said the report is guilty of blurring the line between attacking religion and upholding the Constitution. A.J. Johnson, development director of American Atheists, Inc., said no one condones hate crimes such as the FRC shooting. But many other examples cited are simply cases in which advocates called for the separation of church and state,” Johnson said.

What’s amazing is how utterly clueless these anti-Christian people are. A letter from Jefferson to some northern Baptists, which makes a lot of sense when you read it, and doesn’t mean what these people think, doesn’t decide the Constitution. The entire point of the religion cause, as most of us know, was to restrict the federal government from enacting law that forces people to practice one brand of religion. Many, many people came to the New World to escape a government which worked hand in hand with one branch of Christianity. It never said there couldn’t be religion in government, nor religious symbols on government property. And many of the examples cited in the report do not have anything to do with government.

“The Family Research Council distorts court cases upholding the First Amendment as examples of “religious hostility,” she said. “In reality, they are imposing their beliefs onto others and claiming to be victims of religious persecution when they do not get unique Christian privilege.”

Yet, what of these secular groups and government? Are they not forcing their views on others? The thing is, these anti-religion groups tend to target Christians. Interestingly, when there are Islam days in government schools, we never hear about the groups going after the schools. These secular and government forces tend to be against Christianity, not other religions, and are entirely intolerant of other people’s points of view.

Obamanomics: Most Unemployed Unable To Find A Comparable Job

Obviously, this must be the fault of George Bush, Ronald Reagan, Republicans, international issues, tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and ATMs. Nothing is ever the fault of Obama’s pathetic, uninformed, far left policies based on imaginary economic notions

(Washington Post) Many workers are nervous about their livelihoods despite the economic recovery — and for good reason, it turns out.

Among those workers who lost a good job because of the struggling economy over the past three years, roughly one in four found a job that pays as well, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department.

The others remained unemployed, stopped looking for work or accepted jobs at lower wages.

“This data is telling a story of unemployment inflicting long-term damage for a lot of people,” said Michael Mandel, an economist at the Progressive Policy Institute, a centrist think tank. “This won’t turn around until wages overall start rising — and so far, we haven’t seen any strong signs of that.”

We can argue till we’re blue in the face regarding who/what is to blame for this recession (which officially ended in June, 2009) and the terrible conditions that have persisted ever since: the question to ask is “exactly what have Obama’s policies done to fix it?” In every case, the deeper the recession the stronger the recovery. For most Americans, there has been no recovery. The economy is chugging along like a slug on a pie chart.

The 6.1 million such workers who lost their jobs between 2009 and 2011 were surveyed in January of this year. Of them, roughly 30 percent took jobs that paid less, about 27 percent remained unemployed at the time of the survey and 17 percent stopped looking for work.

Cute puppies and kittens surely are to blame. Obama surely has a super duper wonderful awesome plan that will kick in any day now!

According to a report released this week, incomes have dropped more since the beginning of the recovery than they did during the recession.

Still Bush’s fault? Or the fault of a guy who had no experience in business, never had to hire someone or make a payroll, and has surrounded himself mostly with people whose economic experience was in the classroom, not the boardroom?

Wait, Obama’s America 2016 Could Be #1 Movie This Weekend?

Granted, it’s kind of a lame weekend for new movies, but, this is rather impressive

(Deadline) The anti-Obama movie 2016 Obama’s America went into wider release around America today and is opening right now in first place at the domestic box office. That’s quite a feat since the Rocky Mountain Pictures political documentary is still playing in only 1,090 North American theaters – or about 1/3 as many theaters as big-budget actioner The Expendables 2 (3,355 theaters).

It’s making some respectable money. And probably putting the Left into apoplexy level 10.

Hmm: Majority Of Obama’s Twitter Followers Fake?

(USA Today) President Obama’s Twitter account has 18.8 million followers — but more than half of them really don’t exist, according to reports.

A new Web tool has determined that 70% of Obama’s crowd includes “fake followers,” The New York Times reports in a story about how Twitter followers can be purchased.

“The practice has become so widespread that StatusPeople, a social media management company in London, released a Web tool last month called the Fake Follower Check that it says can ascertain how many fake followers you and your friends have,” the Times reports.

“Fake accounts tend to follow a lot of people but have few followers,” said Rob Waller, a founder of StatusPeople. “We then combine that with a few other metrics to confirm the account is fake.”

So, we can thusly assume that only 30% of Obama’s Twitter followers are in the category of “bat guano crazy zombies”. Good to know!
