Eating Cheese Is Sexist Against Female Cows Or Something

This is real (via Twitchy)

The original tweet from PETA is from August 4th, and leads to this article

As feminists, we’re working to put more women in office and in corner offices. We fight for equal pay, tax-free feminine hygiene products, an end to sexual harassment, funding for women’s sports, and streets safe enough for us to walk alone. We push for strong role models who don’t objectify women on television and in movies. We work to end sex trafficking, slavery, genital mutilation, and “honor killings.” We rail against sexism in all its many forms—except, perhaps, when it comes to what’s on our plates.

Can food really be sexist? Yes, when it’s the product of imprisonment, rape, reproductive control, kidnapping, and abuse.

Contrary to popular belief, female cows produce milk only when they’re pregnant or nursing. They make milk for the same reason that human women do: to feed their babies. Cows who are imprisoned on dairy farms are forcibly impregnated through artificial insemination again and again on rape racks. Rape racks. All for your milk, cheese, and yogurt.

I just have to wonder, did PETA just assume gender?

Help end violence, reproductive control, and rape of females of animal species who desperately need us to speak up for them. Try delicious plant-based milk, vegan cheese, and dairy-free yogurt. Our vegan mentors can answer your questions and help you leave sexism off your plate.

These people are mental. And should be perhaps concerned with their own record of killing animals.

NY Times Gets Big Scoop On Unreleased Climate Report Which Predicts Total Doom

This report reads more like a political document, rather than a scientific one

Government Report Finds Drastic Impact of Climate Change on U.S.

As Tom Maguire notes, the word drastic doesn’t actually appear in the report.

The average temperature in the United States has risen rapidly and drastically since 1980, and recent decades have been the warmest of the past 1,500 years, according to a sweeping federal climate change report awaiting approval by the Trump administration.

The draft report by scientists from 13 federal agencies, which has not yet been made public, concludes that Americans are feeling the effects of climate change right now. It directly contradicts claims by President Trump and members of his cabinet who say that the human contribution to climate change is uncertain, and that the ability to predict the effects is limited.

It very much reads like the kind of apocalyptic report that would come from the Obama administration, right before he took a long fossil fueled trip to attend a fundraiser and play some golf on the West coast. Especially since it was written between December 15, 2016, and February 3, 2017.

More interestingly, despite the claim in the first paragraph, no actual temperature data is supplied in the article. I wonder why. Probably because the draft report claims the world has warmed a tiny 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit from 1865-2015. Which is rather the thing one would expect during a Holocene warm period. That’s why they’re called “warm periods.”

No mention of the multiple pauses during that time period, nor the long period of statistically insignificant warming for over 18 years starting around 1997. Nor that a goodly chunk of the last 1,500 years was a cool period.

The study examines every corner of the United States and finds that all of it was touched by climate change. The average annual temperature in the United States will continue to rise, the authors write, making recent record-setting years “relatively common” in the near future. It projects increases of 5.0 to 7.5 degrees Fahrenheit (2.8 to 4.8 degrees Celsius) by the late century, depending on the level of future emissions.

If you’re guessing that a goodly chunk of the report, and the NY Times article, focuses on doomy prognostications, you’d be correct. It predicts flooding and drought, more “extreme weather”, and all the other fun stuff that the Cult of Climastrology always predicts. And, of course, it blames it all on humanity.

It does fail to mention that the majority of the previous climate models have failed, so, it doesn’t tell us why we should believe this scareathon.

Wisconsin Is Latest State To Push Legislation That Cracks Down On Illegal Aliens And Those That Support Them

Texas recently pass a law that cracks down on sanctuary cities and the people in charge who refuse to cooperate with federal agencies on illegal immigration. Now it’s Wisconsin’s turn

(WeAreGreenBay.com) The Wisconsin Assembly is pushing two bills that affect immigrants in the state.

Assembly Bill 190 requires police to hold people suspected of a crime for an additional 48 hours if they are believed to be in the country illegally.

That bill would also allow the attorney general, district attorneys and sheriffs to sue cities, towns or villages for not complying with immigration law.

Assembly Bill 127 allows Wisconsin residents to sue their local government if they think federal immigration policies are not being enforced.

Representative John Spiros of Marshfield is a firm supporter of the bill. He says the bills will only affect people suspected of committing a crime. Spiros says people’s immigration status would not be questioned for things like traffic violations or when asking for police assistance.

Hilariously, opponents are asking the immigrants who work on farms, who make up 80% of that workforce, to strike in response. Well, if they are unlawfully present in the United States, they should be rounded up and deported, and the business owners who did not do their due diligence to make sure their workers were lawfully eligible to work should be charged.

In fact, many states have passed laws cracking down on sanctuary jurisdictions, and many others are considering doing the same, while a few Democratic states have passed laws and resolutions protecting trespassing immigrants.

California Camp Looks To Perpetuate Lie To Gender Confused Kids

They think they’re accommodating and doing good things, instead of being parties to child abuse

Transgender day camp among first to include 4-year-olds

In some ways, Rainbow Day Camp is very ordinary. Kids arrive with a packed lunch, make friendship bracelets, play basketball, sing songs and get silly. But it is also extraordinarily unique, from the moment campers arrive each morning.

At check-in each day, campers make a nametag with their pronoun of choice. Some opt for “she” or “he.” Or a combination of “she/he.” Or “they,” or no pronoun at all. Some change their name or pronouns daily, to see what feels right.

The camp in the San Francisco Bay Area city of El Cerrito caters to transgender and “gender fluid” children, ages 4 to 12, making it one of the only camps of its kind in the world open to preschoolers, experts say. Enrollment has tripled to about 60 young campers since it opened three summers ago, with kids coming from as far as Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. – even Africa. Plans are underway to open a branch next summer in Colorado, and the camp has been contacted by parents and organizations in Atlanta, Seattle, Louisiana and elsewhere interested in setting up similar programs.

They and the parents should all be locked up for perpetuating this staggering abuse of children.

Studies show transgender adults have higher rates of suicide and depression than the general population. A 2016 study by the University of Washington’s TransYouth Project, published in the journal Pediatrics, found trans children who live as their preferred gender and are supported by their parents have the same mental health outcomes as other kids their age.

That’s what happens when people with mental illness do not get proper treatment, and, instead, are patronized into continuing the belief that they aren’t their actual biological gender.

Trump Diverts Attention From The World Ending Doom Of ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

An opinion piece in the Herald from Everett, Washington, highlights just how unhinged the members of the Cult of Climastrology are, how the indoctrination has taken this issue to absurd levels

Trump diverts attention from real crisis of climate change

In recent days and weeks we have been on the receiving end of our president’s lunatic ravings about the glories and beauty of police brutality and the demonic nature of knife-wielding narco traffickers whose sole purpose is to slash and mutilate. These rants have understandably drawn the ire and shock of virtually all. Indeed one would have to search the presidential archives to find similar bombast that nurtured this kind of hatred.

That said, we should all and with immediacy turn our attentions to the recent reports of “biological annihilation” as global warming is reaching levels not seen for 115,000 years. Consider these facts as we continue to hurdle towards environmental Armageddon: One third of vertebrates on earth are now gone. Antarctica is on track to lose a fourth of its ice by century’s end. And each passing year sets new and apocalyptic hear records.

We are at the dawn of an era that will bring us floods of environmental refugees that will define dystopian Hell. And we the people are tethered to a president and a political party that denies the realities of climate change and environmental collapse. Rome is burning and we have a man making speeches about the merits of police brutality and torture.

Our present situation is grim and yet not without hope. We have to accept with finality that the Trump administration if left unchecked and unchallenged will usher in an era that will challenge human civilization and even survival. And with this acknowledgement we can build a democratic awakening that showcases the power of organized people committed to those fragile bundle of ideas that in recent years have been scorned and mocked and ridiculed.

And not proven by the Scientific Method, but, hey, let’s not let facts get in the way of a good Unhinged Rant

These embedded ideas and beliefs that we call democracy are seeing a revival though-and it is this rebirth of democratic action and belief that gives us hope.

A revival from what? The previous eight years of Trump being in office? Oh, wait.

Interestingly, what the Warmists call “democracy” political theory would call a form of Authoritarianism.

DOJ Fires Back At Chicago Over Threatened Lawsuit About Illegal Aliens

Supporters of illegal aliens tend to refer to them as “undocumented immigrants”. Perhaps we should refer to the as “trespassing immigrants,” because, if they were trespassing on the property of illegal alien supporters, they’d call the cops and have them removed. Regardless, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who oversaw a 14 year old boy shot dead Sunday (among other shootings), states that the city will file a lawsuit today to protect $3.2 million that the city receives from Los Federales. The money is under threat because Chicago is a sanctuary jurisdiction.

(Fox News) The Justice Department called out the mayor in its response. “In 2016, more Chicagoans were murdered than in New York City and Los Angeles combined. So it’s especially tragic that the mayor is less concerned with that staggering figure than he is spending time and taxpayer money protecting criminal aliens and putting Chicago’s law enforcement at greater risk,” department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Furthermore, the DOJ hasn’t actually withheld any money, so, this is more about grandstanding, as the suit will probably be dismissed out of hand. Regardless, Chicago should be more concerned with the crime in its city than protecting people who Rahm would have arrested if they decided to camp in his back yard for trespassing.

A requirement added to the application would force local jurisdictions to report to federal officials about the release of illegal immigrants from police custody at least 48 hours in advance.

According to the Sun-Times, former high-ranking Justice Department lawyer Ed Siskel, now Chicago Corporation Counsel, doesn’t believe Sessions has the authority to change the requirements of the federal grand program because it was created by Congress, and doesn’t believe he can force local law enforcement officials to comply with federal immigration policy.

Does this also mean that local law enforcement doesn’t have to comply with federal law on, say, kidnappings? Or that citizens do not have to comply with federal law on Obamacare? Cities cannot pick and choose which federal laws they will adhere to.

Billy J. Williams, the United States Attorney for the District of Oregon, makes many good points regarding trespassing immigrants and sanctuary jurisdictions, in the aftermath of an illegal alien sexually assaulting and harming senior citizens in Portland

Right now, there are sheriffs who do not notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when they arrest illegal aliens. Some sheriffs do not disclose basic identifying information such as booking photos, fingerprints, and addresses. Some sheriffs, even after receiving an ICE detainer, will not notify ICE of an impending release.

Some sheriffs suggest that, short of ICE agents obtaining a federal criminal arrest warrant, they do not have any legal obligation to share information or hold an individual in custody who is subject to a detainer. This requirement is inherently unreasonable as illegal aliens are frequently held for only a matter of hours. Furthermore, it is nearly impossible to obtain a federal criminal arrest warrant without basic identifying information.

Simply put, Oregon’s sanctuary status declaration directly contravenes federal immigration law and threatens public safety. This has put many sheriffs in the position of choosing whether to violate state or federal law. It’s an untenable position. The Department of Justice takes this issue very seriously and has begun to take steps to correct it.

Perhaps it is high time to hold law enforcement and law makers legally responsible for crimes committed by illegal aliens they let go, with lots and lots of lawsuits. The funny (not ha ha funny) thing is that the majority of time, it is people who support trespassing immigrants in sanctuary jurisdictions who are harmed by trespassing immigrants committing crimes against the people who support trespassing immigrants.

TDS: Trump To Do Away With Nursing Home Lawsuit Rule

As Twitchy asks, if the rule was so important, why did Obama wait until September 2016 to implement it?

This has led to a freakout in Liberal World, as you can see in some tweets at Twitchy, and the comments at The Hill article. What’s going on is that CMS (Centers For Medicaid and Medicare Services) announced in June that they were looking to do away with a rule implemented by Obama that allows nursing homes that accept Medicaid and Medicare to be sued right from the get go when there are issues, from tiny to large, doing away with any language in contracts that allows arbitration. You know, like in virtually every contract you sign today. Your cellphone provider has a very tough arbitration clause, as does your home mortgage, car purchase, etc.

CMS said it decided to reconsider the Obama rule after a federal district court judge in Mississippi issued an order in November temporarily blocking the rule from taking effect.

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) and a group of nursing homes had sued CMS and the Department of Health and Human Services in October, claiming that the rule violated the Federal Arbitration Act, and that the agencies had overstepped their statutory authority in issuing the law. The AHCA said Congress has repeatedly rejected legislation to invalidate arbitration agreements.

So, the rule is, get this, a violation of the law. Who would ever think that Obama would implement a rule that stretches or breaks the law. Someone should tell Rep. Ted Lieu that it’s his job to change the law if he doesn’t like it

Anyhow

Under its proposed revisions, CMS said nursing homes would be required to write the arbitration agreements in plain language and explain the agreement to the prospective resident or his or her representative. Residents would also be required to acknowledge they understand the agreement.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is also backing the rule change. The nation’s leading business group fought back against the original rule, claiming that restricting arbitration would raise the cost of nursing home care and make it harder, and more costly, for residents to resolve disputes.

There’s a lot more to that excerpt, regarding the notion that lawsuits can be expensive and lengthy, and some are small and not necessary. Time will tell what the final rule will look like, but, it will surely include what you see in a car buyers order: that you agree to arbitrate most things, but it doesn’t fully require arbitration for big things. Like a bad airbag inflating and seriously injuring you. And things like abuse, sexual assault, neglect, etc, all mentioned in the article, should go to law enforcement first, wouldn’t you think?

It Should Totally Not Be Allowed To Not Comply With Global Climate Pacts Or Something

Quite possibly one of the most cultish headlines from Warmists of all time

Adhering to global climate pacts should no longer be optional
With millions affected by soaring temperatures around the globe and forest fires ripping through continents as we speak, curbing industrial poison is anything but an abstract aspiration

And Warmists complain when I note that this is all about Progressive (nice fascist) politics rather than science.

Of course, the fire the article refers to is the one along the French Riviera. Sadly for these Warmist, officials suspect arson, not Hotcoldwetdry.

As whales continue to wash up on the world’s shores with piles of plastic in their stomachs, the issue is no longer a theory that we can optionally espouse as a worthy cause.

Confusing a real environmental issue with ‘climate change.’ What a shame, because plastics in the ocean is a real problem.

It is an urgent necessity and a race against a ticking time bomb. An industrial superpower like the United States leaving the Paris climate pact will have ramifications for the entire globe. As it turns out, countries are at the mercy of Mother Nature now. They can comply or, as we saw in recent weeks, face her wrath.

Weather never happened before, you know. Hence, all must be forced to comply.
