One would think this would be easy: if a baby is born alive, including during an abortion, attempts would have to be made to save the child. But, the abortion on demand sect is so deranged that they cannot even approve of something so simple. Here’s NC blogger Sister Toldjah on the subject
Democrat Governor Roy Cooper Sides With The Abortion Lobby, Vetoes NC ‘Born Alive’ Bill
As predicted, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) today has vetoedNC’s proposed Born Alive bill:
Gov. Roy Cooper on Thursday vetoed legislation that would have required doctors to provide the same care to an infant that survives an abortion as they give any other newborn.
“Laws already protect newborn babies, and this bill is an unnecessary interference between doctors and their patients,†Cooper said in his veto statement. “This needless legislation would criminalize doctors and other health care providers for a practice that simply does not exist.â€
Except, as she notes
There is no law on NC's books that would punish a doctor who withholds care from a baby born alive after an abortion which is why this "fact check" doesn't identify one. @PolitiFactNC has become a pathetic lie factory that pumps out @NCDemParty talking points. #NCGA #NCPOL https://t.co/kFb3Cu2iXW

She also questions the timing
As I noted last week, Cooper is beholden to the abortion lobby and the extreme left in this state, so it wasn’t shocking that he vetoed the bill. But there is the question of the timing of Cooper’s veto. The bill passed two days ago, and he performed his veto just this morning. Alexandra DeSanctis speculates as to why.
Cooper literally vetoed it while the Mueller report was being released. Perhaps he didn’t want this to actually be news? How insane do you have to be to veto a bill that protects a baby born alive, requiring medical care for it? I typically avoid discussing abortion beyond a policy position, not getting into the morality of it, but, this is sick. Abortionistas keep telling us they aren’t for abortion, that they want it safe and rare, yet, they are against every single restriction on abortion, including late term abortions, medical standards and inspections for abortion facilities, and saving those born alive.
Well, for Everyone Else
Capitalism may be great for selling ice cream, but it's not great for saving the earth. That's why we need the #GreenNewDeal. Learn more: https://t.co/0Nj9lSuhqG pic.twitter.com/sw04Ta1OOy

From the link
Today the world is facing an unprecedented crisis. If we don’t do something about it, life on earth as we know it will never be the same. But time is running out. We have to act now.
Yes, we have to rescue capitalism.
It’s being held hostage by fossil-fuel industry CEOs and their lobbyists and all their out-of-date ideas—and without our help it (along with the rest of us) will be swallowed up by climate change’s rising seas. Luckily, there’s a proposal out there that just might save capitalism: the Green New Deal. (Bonus: it could also save the planet.)
Um, life always changes. Our lives are much different than our parent’s lives. Think what lives were like in the 1920’s. 1820’s. But, it’s cute that a company which relies on, heck, requires, fossil fuels to move their product in refrigerated trucks around the country is mad at fossil fuels companies.
The screed goes on to wax poetic about the GND, and even says it will save capitalism by….wait, turning it into socialism?
A little more on that last point: as long as corporations make their own rules, capitalism will never ensure justice or economic security for workers, frontline communities, communities of color, or any of the most vulnerable of our neighbors and fellow citizens. The Green New Deal gets it right: we are all in this together.
Is B&J’s not making their own rules in getting milk from methane producing cows and shipping ice cream on fossil fueled trucks? What about the refrigerants used to make and ship the pompous ice cream? Are they using ones that are not considered greenhouse gases? What they’re saying here is that Government should make the rules, which is not capitalism. Those same rules could turn B&J’s into a local ice cream company with no ability to ship nationwide. Oh, and will they whine about their parent company, Unilever, which owns lots and lots of brands, including Lipton, Dove, Breyers (mostly fake ice cream), Hellman’s, and Axe (those are just on the first page), and ships these all over the world, which means lots of fossil fuels?
Admittedly, the scope of change required for us to avoid the worst effects of climate change is unprecedented. But unprecedented does not mean impossible.
It requires a radical transformation of how we see ourselves and how we see our economy.
We’ve risen to the occasion before. Roosevelt’s New Deal worked and set the stage for one of the most miraculous periods of productivity and prosperity the world has ever seen. If we pull together now and get behind the Green New Deal’s big, bold, ambitious, and inclusive vision, we can not only save capitalism from itself, we can save the world—and ourselves.
So, we have to be forced to change ourselves and our economy? Huh. As for getting behind the GND, even co-author Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not demanding a vote on it in the House, and became quite mad when the Senate voted on it.
Anyhow, it seems like capitalism is great for Ben & Jerry’s, they just don’t want it for Everyone Else. I can’t even give up eating B&J’s, because I prefer Blue Bell.

Let’s start out by noting that the Extinction Rebellion members who held up a train in London have been charged with obstructing trains or carriages on the railway by an unlawful act, contrary to section 36 of the Malicious Damage Act 1861, and were denied bail. Huh. Wonder why. Also, four chained themselves to Jeremy Corbyn’s home, and glue themselves to each other. A few even protested in front of the RNC’s headquarters in D.C., and pretty much the only ones to cover this were the hyper-left site Democracy Now.
And we have
A leading Extinction Rebellion activist who said that “air travel should only be used in emergencies†lives a jet-set lifestyle, taking skiing holidays, visiting global landmarks and enjoying walks along palm-tree lined paths.
Robin Boardman-Pattinson walked out of a television interview after being branded “incompetent, middle-class and self indulgent†by Sky’s Adam Boulton, but The Telegraph can reveal that climate change is not the only cause which he fights for.
He’s also campaigned against the expansion of Heathrow airport, supported Muslim women wearing Hijabs and Niqabs and asked for retail space in Bristol turned into a slave trade museum.
Worryingly, he also shared a post which calls the allegations of anti-semitism in the Labour party “a massive smear campaign against Jeremy Corbyn by the Netanyahuite supporters in the party and wider media/society.â€
But while Mr Boardman-Pattinson rallies against climate change, he has taken at least three skiing holidays in recent years, and has posed for photographs in front of the leaning tower of Pisa. He was unavailable for comment.
So, not only is he a climahypocrite, but an anti-Semite to boot.
(UK Express) Climate activist Rupert Read made the faux-pas after describing the atmosphere of the Extinction Rebellion protest on Waterloo Bridge. He told LBC radio: “The atmosphere there is fantastic and loads of ordinary passers-by, loads of citizens supporting us. I then took a taxi to get to the meeting I’ve just been in now.
“And the driver was hugely supportive.â€
Struggling not to giggle, LBC host Iain Dale said: “I hope it was an electric taxi, because otherwise why didn’t you use the tube?â€
After a horrifyingly awkward pause, Mr Read blurted: “Well, because I was in a terrible rush.
“And I’m a human being like anybody else.â€
Mr Dale shot back: “Well, don’t you think that’s slightly hypocritical?â€
Shockingly, his guest retorted: “No, I don’t Iain.â€
Chuckling, a vindicated Mr Dale replied “I think everybody listening to this interview will.â€
It’s always “do as I say, not as I do” with this crowd.

This really says it all
BARR: "The special counsel found no evidence that any American — including anyone associated with the Trump campaign — conspired or coordinated with the Russian government or the IRA in this illegal scheme."
"The special counsel found no collusion by any American."
— Olivia Beavers (@Olivia_Beavers) April 18, 2019
“Any American.”
(Fox News) “After nearly two years of investigation, thousands of subpoenas, and hundreds of warrants and witness interviews, the Special Counsel confirmed that the Russian government-sponsored efforts to illegally interfere with the 2016 presidential election but did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded in those schemes,” Barr said, adding that Americans “should be grateful” for the findings.
As for obstruction
He said that Mueller’s report also went on to “consider whether certain actions of the president could amount to obstruction of the Special Counsel investigation.”
Barr, meanwhile, sought to head off another controversy during his press conference over the issue of obstruction of justice. The Mueller probe did not reach a conclusion on whether the president committed this offense, but Barr and Rosenstein determined there was not sufficient evidence on that front.
“As I addressed in my March 24th letter, the Special Counsel did not make a traditional prosecutorial judgment regarding this allegation. Instead, the report recounts ten episodes involving the President and discusses potential legal theories for connecting these actions to elements of an obstruction offense,” Barr explained. “After carefully reviewing the facts and legal theories outlined in the report, and in consultation with the Office of Legal Counsel and other Department lawyers, the Deputy Attorney General and I concluded that the evidence developed by the Special Counsel is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.”
Do not expect Democrats to give up. Heck, they still whine about the 2000 election being stolen. And a brief watching of MSNBC saw Democrats who were heartbroken, delusional, unhinged, and living in a fantasy world, as they attempt to spin this into some conspiracy theories.
What’s the point of releasing a resolution if you’re not going to demand a vote on it? Heck, AOC had a meltdown when the Senate voted on the Green New Deal as submitted by co-author Ed Markey
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the Intercept website collaborated on a seven-minute video that takes place in a future where Democrats control the House, Senate, and White House, and America is fundamentally transformed into a socialist country where fossil fuels are eliminated, everyone is guaranteed a union job, and the Green New Deal saves the planet.
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Tuesday: Surprise! “For months we’ve been working on a very special + secret #GreenNewDeal project,†and promised to reveal it on Wednesday.
But, alas, the project wasn’t figuring out a way to force the House to hold a full floor vote on the GND, as Pelosi has already sidelined it and I doubt it would pass. Nope
She posted the video, which she helped write and narrate, on Instagram, giving viewers another look at the socialist values she hopes to put in place in the United States.
The video begins as an older Ocasio-Cortez with a streak of gray hair is riding a bullet train from New York to Washington, DC. She recalls being elected to Congress as part of “the most diverse Congress in history — up to that time.â€
She says that for the first time “children in our community†could see people like them “navigating the halls of power.â€
And then the video gets down to business, laying out a scenario in which Exxon-Mobile and politicians hid the truth about climate change and ignored scientists warnings about man-made global warming.
Yeah. Crazy

Ooops, sorry, wrong one
Climate change is here + we’ve got a deadline: 12 years left to cut emissions in half.
A #GreenNewDeal is our plan for a world and a future worth fighting for.
How did we get here?
What is at stake?
And where are we going? Please watch & share widely ??https://t.co/IMCtS86VXG
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) April 17, 2019
If we have only 12 years left, why is she not demanding a vote?
As for Ocasio-Cortez’s future, Ileana replaces her in 2028 in the “first cycle of publicly funded election campaigns.â€
“When I think back to my first term in Congress, riding that old-school Amtrak in 2019, all of this was still ahead of us,†Ocasio-Cortez says. “And the first big step was just closing our eyes and imagining it.â€
Is there anyone who thinks that AOC is actually riding Amtrak from NYC to DC and back? Does she even take a train? According to her FEC filings she flies way more than taking the subway.
But, she’s still not demanding a vote. I mean, if the future is worth fighting for, a vote should be held, right?

If so, it won’t make a difference, because Democrats are still going to lose their minds and claim there’s a coverup and conspiracy and stuff, because they still can’t get over Hillary losing to Donald, and they still feel that he totes colluded and obstructed in the same manner a fan of a football team believes they can win the Super Bowl despite being 2-6. It could totally happen, right, guys?
Mueller report will be lightly redacted, offering detailed look at Trump’s actions
The Justice Department plans to release a lightly redacted version of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s 400-page report Thursday, offering a granular look at the ways in which President Trump was suspected of having obstructed justice, people familiar with the matter said.
The report — the general outlines of which the Justice Department has briefed the White House on — will reveal that Mueller decided he could not come to a conclusion on the question of obstruction because it was difficult to determine Trump’s intent and because some of his actions could be interpreted innocently, these people said. But it will offer a detailed blow-by-blow of the president’s alleged conduct — analyzing tweets, private threats and other episodes at the center of Mueller’s inquiry, they added. (snip)
While the report’s light redactions might allay some of their concerns, Democrats are likely to bristle at any material that is withheld. What the Justice Department and Trump’s lawyers might view as modest, lawmakers might see as overly aggressive. The redacted version of the report is expected to reveal extensive details about Trump’s actions in office that came under scrutiny, but it is unclear how much the public will learn about how the special counsel’s team investigated the Kremlin’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election and Russian contacts with Trump associates.
Mueller wasn’t able to come to a conclusion because there is no proof for prosecution, and, in our version of a legal justice system, this means Trump is innocent. But, this matters little to Democrats. You have the Washington Post Editorial Board saying that the redactions (which are required by law) do not deserve the benefit of the doubt.
(The Hill) Democrats say Barr has acted as an agent of President Trump in his role overseeing the release of the report, which will mark the culmination of one of the most-watched probes in recent political history.
Essentially, Democrats are trying to knock down the report they’ve been waiting for which they expected would be The End Of Orange Man.
Democrats are hoping to use the report to bolster their sprawling probes into Trump’s administration, businesses and campaign.
But if the roughly 400-page document contains little evidence implicating Trump on obstruction of justice, the probes are certain to lose steam and thwart their plans to dig into every facet of the administration heading into 2020.
Let them. Trump will just bludgeon them with this, as it will bolster his witch-hunt claims, and this over-reach by unhinged Democrats will help them lose House seats they just won. Really, if you want to know what the Mueller report really means, just look towards the NY Times: they’ve pretty much given up on it saying what they want it to say. They lead with a few obligatory pieces on the webpage and on the paper front page, but, they are basic. There are no editorials or opinion pieces.
There was no collusion, and no proof of obstruction. But, it’ll be fun when the spying on a presidential campaign investigation ramps up.
For all the caterwauling about initiating ‘climate change’ policies, this might work in the in very liberal cities, but, in larger areas these policies seem to end up with the party which enacted them losing. Remember back in 2012 when the Labor Party in Queensland, Australia lost so badly after enacting Hotcoldwetdry policies that they didn’t have enough members to be considered a recognized political party. Looking towards the Great White North
Alberta’s United Conservative Party (UCP) won a landslide victory against the liberal New Democratic Party (NDP) Tuesday night.
UCP Leader Jason Kenney’s first priority: repeal the province’s carbon tax.
It’s the first time an Albertan government has been toppled after only one term in power, and it’s the third time in the last year conservatives have won a landslide victory on a platform centered around repealing carbon taxes.
“Friends, tonight the silent majority has spoken,†Kenney said in his victory speech. “They have chosen free enterprise values over the politics of resentment.â€
Nearly one year ago, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, a conservative, won a landslide election victory promising to repeal the province’s cap-and-trade program and join the legal fight against Canada’s federal carbon tax.
Trudeau’s carbon tax went into effect in early April, slapping Canadian provinces with a federal carbon tax in the absence of a provincial carbon price. But Alberta’s election suggests Trudeau’s climate agenda may end up being politically damaging to his government.
“From its very introduction, the carbon tax has been very unpopular in Alberta,†Scott Hennig, president of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, said in a statement. “Even dressing it up and trying to bribe taxpayers with rebate cheques didn’t work.â€
‘Climate change’ policies seem to be popular right up to the point where citizens actually have to pay for them. You sure don’t see most Warmists practicing what they preach and using their own money, right?
