Shocker! Job Growth News Is “Grim”

Only liberals clueless about economics will be surprised by this report

Chief financial officers have “limited plans” for hiring over the next year, CFO Magazine and Duke University reported Wednesday in their latest quarterly survey of financial officers.

“News is grim,” said Duke economics professor Campbell Harvey through his Twitter account. Harvey is the founding director of the CFO survey and remains a consultant as well as analyst of the report.

Also, “a majority” of the more than 1,100 CFOs polled in the recent survey say their firms “will not return to pre-recession levels” of employment until 2012 – if not later.

“U.S. companies plan very little domestic hiring over the next year,” said John Graham, professor of finance at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and director of the survey., in a statement. “However, the rate of improvement is slow and should put only a small dent in the unemployment rate by year-end.”

Democrat policies and legislation, not too mention so many anti-business talking points, give business no reason to be positive and look to hire. They do not see an expansion of sales/production/etc, so, no need to hire.

This from a man in his forties still working in retail. Some “economic guru” he is. One thing’s for sure- he definitely knows how to save money on clothes.

    What person is that, reasic?

  3. Trish says:

Oh okay- here we go- Bunny’s back to slogging in the mud- trying to make it sound beneath oneself to be working in retail- which of course is elitist BS, trite commentary and has no bearing on a person’s worth.
So tell us oh Reasic Bunny One, are you an esteemed university professor, a high paid lawyer or an over paid government worker? Shall we now genuflect to your awesomeness? Don’t hold yer breath!
