DU Thread of The Day: Kill Obscenely Rich

This is a good one, folks, pure comedy

Herman Munster (999 posts) While millions are starving, rich people are buying "luxury" $1,000 pizzas

CBS) NEW YORK We've been dealing with the pocket-emptying effects of rising gas prices, new electric rates, and an increase in cab fare, but how would you feel about breaking the bank all for…a pizza? Now you can find out thanks to Manhattan restauranteur Nino Selimaj, who has apparently brought from the heavens a real "pie in the sky" with his new $1,000 pizza.

Yep, that'll be $1,000 please.

OK, the responses:

  • Anyone who pays $1,000 for a pizza should be shot on sight. Really, what the f*ck? I cannot think of a bigger waste of money.
  • Anyone who buys it is a pitifully empty wannabe. nd anyone who puts or eats Petrossian caviar on a pizza is tacky. It's the story of mankind: some people starve, while others show off over how far from starving they are.
  • Hope the obscenely greedy bastards choke on it
  • For that Grand I could feed allot of homeless
  • I'd rather swallow my own vomit.
  • Nobody becomes rich enough to buy $1000 pizza, when they're paying $1000 for a pie. I predict that the novelty-factor, alone, isn't going to keep this one afloat.
  • I don't know. A lot of vulgar people will love bragging about how they had a $1,000 pizza. It will be discussed for a lifetime, tediously brought up at gatherings for decades to come. People who cater to and manipulate the ego of that clueless brand of rich-wad never come up short when the rent is due.

Yes, those greedy rich bastards! Hmmm, that reminds me

RALEIGH — Presidential candidate John Edwards and his family recently moved into what county tax officials say is the most valuable home in Orange County. The house, which includes a recreational building attached to the main living quarters, also is probably the largest in the county.

“The Edwardses’ residential property will likely have the highest tax value in the county,” Orange County Tax Assessor John Smith told Carolina Journal. He estimated that the tax value will exceed $6 million when the facility is completed.

Hmm, I wonder if they will call Edwards a greedy bastard who should be shot on site? Naa, they love the Silk Pony.
